I like that Sumeru's story is just like a huge mystery and conspiracy/heist plot that makes all the characters look really cool that caps off with a sad ending, and then Fontaine's is just a competition to see who has the most tragic backstory lmao. Like I swear I've been misty-eyed at every single character's story so far it's crazy.
Fun fact about Alhaitham's design, he has an eye as a reocurrent design everywhere in his clothes, including the soles of his shoes, if I'm not mistaken
