- I got to work early just to review the newly arrived 2022 Hyundai Tucson. Breaking with my typical review preference, this is the Tucson SE trim level and it is drastically different from any other SUV on the market right now. Sit back and enjoy the most modern Tucson to date. Enjoy!

Thank you for reviewing the base model! Most reviews are the higher-end models which I never buy for myself.
No problem! I like doing a bunch of the trims
@@MiguelMyCarGuy is SE comes witj4 AWD??
Most people aren't showing the entry trim level so I definatrly appreciate that you did in this video. Thanks for always being entertaining and informative Miguel. Also, "Tucson Side Blade" - I like that.
Mig, Fancy new camera! I dig it! Keep on pumping out the good content. Thank you so much
Glad you like the 360 camera. I appreciate the complement! Thanks a lot!
Thank you for reviewing the lower trim! I’m also curious about the mpg. And I just saw it’s much better so thanks for talking about that!
So glad they brought back daytime running lights. That’s lacking on my 2020.
Thanks Miguel, I just purchased a Blue, Limited because of your video. I waited until my local dealership got the one I wanted. Also got a pretty good deal on it. Thanks for your g great videos
Bro! Thank you for finally sharing this! I’ve seen a bunch of videos but all of them were of the Limited trim, so I was wanting to see what the other trims looked like. - Also, I’m in Hunters Creek, so when I buy one Imma hit you up! Keep the videos coming!
Awesome! Make sure to let me know when you wanna stop by so you get me. My videos have the link to the appointments.
Man wish I could buy my 2022 from you Miguel. Thanks for another great video and first impression and look at this great video
Thank you!
So much positive energy in your review I gotta subscribe. And still a very relevant review. I'm looking forward to sit in this car.
Thanks! Yeah, head down to your local dealer to sit in one.
Been waiting for this video!!!! When you get the Limited trim please do a review! 😊
Absolutely!
thank you for this video and for the information keep the good work 🙏🏼🇵🇷
Thanks! I definitely will
Love your energy, once again bro.
Thanks!
Thank you so much for the review!
Youre welcome. Happy people like yourself enjoy it
Love the energy in your videos.
I appreciate that!
Thank you for doing a video on the standard model! Literally the only one I have been able to find so far, everyone else just does the Elite versions which is not in everyone’s price range ☺️
Youre welcome! It was really a pleasure to showcase the SE. I appreciate you.
Just subscribed, love your reviews
Thanks a lot!
My dad just got one of these, love the new styling & infotainment stuff👍🏻
Me too
Just bought this car two months ago and I love it!
Excellent! Congratulations
Great enthusiastic video brother. I bought the Tucson SEL AWD in Amazon Grey without the convenience package and absolutely love it. So many features. So many safety features a beautiful look and I put some killer Ruffino Atrax rims on it. Then tinted it out
Very nice. I wanna see those rims. You got an instagram?
@@MiguelMyCarGuy I don't use it much but I posted the pic for you @miceffect
How much did u pay otd?

Thanks so much for your review nice car 🚗 👍
Thanks!
Thanks to Miguel I got mine Saturday!!!! Very Happy, definitely go see him!!!
You got the nice one too!
What’s the difference between the SE and SEL package?
I'm actually working on that video. Give me a few days and I'll have it up. Make sure you have the notifications active for my channel.
I hope you do a video for the rest of the trims. The tuscan is probably what I'll be getting sometime this year so I would like to compare the differences between trims.
That video is definitely coming. I just need the cars to show up.
@@MiguelMyCarGuy when ru getting the hybrid model ?
Great review.
Thanks! 🙌
I'm loving it 😍
Me too
I just bought the 2022 sel. All in all a great car. Love the heated front seats and steering wheel. The AWD handled the 4" of snow we got last night no problem. It has all the necessary safety features and the trim fit and finish is flawless. The eight speed transmission is smooth and acceleration is great.
Amazing!
Wait, you have heated steering wheel on a SEL?
@@etothej Yup. And three levels of heat on the seats front only unless you get the convenience package
@@MicEffect I have the SEL Convenience with Premium and I don't have heated steering wheel.
Just a thought for future vids. Can you talk about MSRP or better yet, show the window sticker. Thank you.
and stop showing himself
What do you need to see the window sticker or MSRP for?
@@bigman21ize thats a silly ass question really
Why should he stop showing himself. I agree with the price though
@@jbshp2011 why? How does that help you? The price is the price. Don’t worry about.
Great video man
Now one question does all trims have wireless apple android connectivity ?
According to the Hyundai training material, if the '22 Tucson doesn't have factory navigation you'll have wireless CarPlay and Android Auto. If you have the factory navigation, it will still need the cable for the CarPlay and Android Auto.
It looks amazing
I agree
This one actually has a hood on the drivers non digital display and a traditional shift lever unlike the other 2022 tucsons ive seen online. I think i like this design better.
You probably saw the Limited one because the Limited doesn't have the shift lever.
I test drove this exact same model, but for me with my comfortable seat and steering positions I couldn't see the gauge cluster.
I can’t wait to see the N-Line!
Same here!
You r amazing!
Thanks a lot!
I have a 2019 I like a lot. 40k miles so far. I'll buy one of these in a couple of years. They make mine instantly look like a model t though.
😆😆
Just got my SEL Convenience/Premium and while the hidden wiper does LOOK cool, it doesn't work very well. But the vehicle is nice.
About time Hyundai made LED (at least headlights) standard. Very nice, and been wanting to see how they'd do the SE dash - pretty good.
Yeah, its great how they did the Tucson
I see the base SE really has a lot goin for it, but I don't see privacy glass, guess that starts with one level up, the SEL? Also, wonder if rear cross traffic alert/blind spot monitoring come standard on SE, please do a video on the SEL trim when you get one on the lot.
Yep, definitely doing a SEL review
Great video Miguel! Does the 2022 SE trim have rear A/C vents? Our 2018 SE Tucson doesn't have any.
No, the 1st one to have rear A/C is the SEL
@@MiguelMyCarGuy thanks for letting me know :)
Youre welcome
It just so happens that my old 2005 Tucson has reached retirement age. This is the car I’m looking to finance. Yes , I am very attracted by this vehicle and have had very good luck with my old car. The engine is outliving the sub frame of my car . Going to a local Hyundai dealer after the holidays. I hope this car comes in dark silver. And since I really enjoyed my old car I named it Hank. But my new car if it’s the color I want, it’ll be named Jaws. Shark gray, fin on the hood where the radio is, yeah, definitely seems it so worthy of the name. Love it!
Nice!
@@MiguelMyCarGuy Update. I actually went with a 2022 Kona due to the price of the Tucson being out of my budget. The Kona was in my price range and I got the SEL convenience model. Great little SUV. And I wound up naming it Gizmo because it just fit it better.
Hey man off the top of your head… Do you know if the SE model has the beeping warning on back up when you get to close etc.?… Thanks for your response.
No, the 2022 Tucson SE doesn't beep, BUT the hybrid Tucsons do when they are reversing. Plus they make a futuristic noise when driving forward in electric mode to make people aware because its quiet.
In your video there still is a shifter, I thought the new Tucson was going with the push button shifter? or is that only on certain trim levels?
Only on the Limited.
Just ordered one.
Nice!
Can you do a vid with a Tucson in the Amazon grey when you guys get one in. Hard to judge the color in the factory RUclips videos
If we have one by the time I do the comparison I'll definitely post one
Does it have fog lights? When I watch the early reviews they always showed the top trim level and hybrid and the push button shift turned me off. But I've seen listings now for the SEL Convenience pkg where you get the shifter AND a regular sunroof! Very cool. Can you get the Convenience pkg on the Sport model?
For 2022, the did away with the name Sport. It will be called the N-Line. I can't wait to see it.
With the way the headlights and high beams are designed, they said it didn't need fog lights. The headlights are super bright LED
I test drove a 2022 Hyundai Tucson Limited FWD today here in the US (hybrid version not available yet). Compared to the Rav4 & CR-V Hybrid models, I wasn't blown away by the Tucson like I was expecting based on reviews from other countries. Easily, the best feature was the birdseye cam view. The rest of the hyped up tech was OK, it just didn't have a wow factor. The OEM tires on the Limited version I test drove were Kumho's, not a vote of confidence when Hyundai is trying to take the crown in this segment. The touchscreen void of physical buttons is a step backwards IMO. Screen icon touch while driving is frustrating, in any vehicle (I've had it for years & hate it). On the highway, it was nearly as disappointing as both the CR-V & Rav4 re road noise. Around town (under 50mph), the CR-V is hard to beat. But, the CR-V's highway noise seems greater than the others. Again, in fairness, I have yet to test drive the Tucson Hybrid. But if buying today given what's available, I would opt for the CR-V Touring Hybrid over the Tucson Limited gas version (they are nearly the same price & you can likely pay $2k less on the CR-V in discounts). The Rav4's interior seems dated and uninspiring (this coming from a Toyota loyalist).
I see you complain on here very often, you will never find a perfect vehicle …. Stop over thinking it bro
Hi Miguel, any chance you could also review some Genesis cars or do you only work for Hyundai? I’m asking cause of your shirt lol
Genesis is definitely on the radar. All im doing is waiting for a few different G80 and GV80 trim levels to show.
Hi. Does the All-New 2022 Hyundai Tucson Limited Gas version for the USA have power-folding mirrors?
No power folding mirrors on the Limited
I was surprised to see a physical gear shifter, I thought it was supposed to be shift by wire like with all the new Hyundai models. That is the also what they have on the international Tucson models. Is this specific to only the se trim? Or do all the trims have a physical gear shifter?
According to Hyundai's training center, the Limited will have the Shift-by-wire transmission buttons.
I’m interested in the N Line trim
Please make a compare 2022 Tucson Limited and 2021 Santa Fe Limited. Thank you.
Thats a good idea
What color is this?
I love that intro beat please tell me what it is
In the music section of RUclips Studio, look up A to the O by Diamond Ortiz.
Could you please give me a review on the hyundai tucson 1.6 t gdi ultimate manul petrol 2022
What country are you in?
I'm in the UK 🇬🇧
When is the N Line trim, Coming out
Hey man how do you get those grill LED lights to do that wave affect🤔😳?
Its part of the camera speed. In person the car doesn't do that
Nice. Will there be a night edition or nline to this?
N-Line, yes. No mention of a Night Edition though.
How much is the price ?
What was the other trim that your dealership received? Will you be reviewing that one too?
We had a few drop off the day after this video went live. I definitely will be reviewing different trim.
The first videos (Asian market) had buttons for transmission, no?? I'm so glad they kept an actual stick for shifting!
The Limited Tucson brings those buttons to shift.
@@MiguelMyCarGuy I see! Is it to make room for the bigger infotainment screen?
Thats a good question. Im not entirely sure why, but it makes sense. Less things to get in thr way of someone's hand.
Probably no Smart Park on this entry-level model. Need the buttons so the car can get the transmission into gear.
The ones with bigger screen should have push button shifter, as well as smart park feature.
Looks perfect, just need heated seats.
When do you think the 2022 Kona's will hit the dealerships? Online saids spring 2021, just wondering around which month.
They are already at my dealership. Im sure they're arriving at others too right now
@@MiguelMyCarGuy GREAT! Looking forward to seeing your reviews of each trim Miguel.
might have to upgrade from my kona to get this 😎
You definitely should
Looks like the 2022 Tucson has the same or slightly more rear interior room than the 2021 Santa Fe?
The Santa Fe is still more roomy, but not its not by as big a gap as before.
bro , does the Tucson 2022 NLINE come with panoramic roof? and pls do review on it! thanks!
I can't wait to see an N-Line Tucson. They're ordered, so as soon as they're in stock, im reviewing it
@@MiguelMyCarGuy ty bro!
Youre welcome
Whats the cash prize?
does the se 2022 have ambient lighting
The Limited does
Can you please do the 2022 Tucson hybrid?
Yes, as soon as it arrives.
Does this trim come with 360 deg camera view feature?
No, that would be the Limited.
when do the 2022 sonata n and veloster n come out?
Later this year
Thanks 👍
No problem
Still a 'physical key' that sucks IMO, but everything else is up to my standards from what I see, including an 8.3" ground clearance that I didn't have with our '17 Tucson awd, we were ' Always' getting hung-up in the snow, I live in Northern Canada where the streets/highways are not the best.
Greetings from Florida then!
When you go up to the SEL you get push button start and remote start
Does it have blind spot monitor?
The 2023 Tucson SEs do
ruclips.net/video/LPhvgxCttCI/видео.html
Please review hybrid blue or N line
Waiting for both
Power front seats for the SE?
No. Power drivers seat on the SEL tho...
What color I'd that ?
The Color is Calypso Red.
Hey if you would you shouldnt use fisheye lens but good video
Thanks
GREAT CAR I WANT BUY . CAN YOU TELL ME WHEN WILL BE IN US MARKET?
They are landing on US lots right now.
They're here already.
Is this the base model?
Yes
But how to open the trunk from inside??
On the Tucson SE you would need to get out and open it. If you want an electric open and close, you would need at least the SEL with the Convenience package.
@@MiguelMyCarGuy
That’s new thank you for answer me ☺️
@@Selanah1995 You are welcome!
It's a good looking car, but i got to spend extra crash to get the back window tints. C'mon Hyundai of US, what are you thinking
Its like buying a house. Half the fun is making it just right for you.
I urgently need a new car, and I want the new Tucson!!! And is taking forever to arrive at the dealership!!! I’m desperate
Sounds like you need to buy an airplane ticket to Orlando to let me help you out.
@@MiguelMyCarGuy hm. I’m in Tampa not far. How’s your inventory? Comparing this to the RAV4, Acura RDX, and VW Tiguan
@@Eg-jd9zt Our inventory is decent for what the market is right now. All those vehicles have their strengths, but the Tucson beats them all in warranty and complementary maintenance. The Tucson is very competitive in tech and the value aspect is very strong too. Make an appointment with the link in the description. Leave me your number so we can text.
@@MiguelMyCarGuy are you all adding dealer fees or markup? Some dealers are out of control right now while others are playing fair and not doing that.
All your missing is a 4k camera and upload this video in 4k resolution
I have two 4k cameras. I will be rendering future videos in 4k now that I have a computer that can handle it.
The wide angle view really distorts the exterior views of the car.
The wife needs a car and this is perfect
It is and now the SE comes with blindspot standard
Is this cvt?
No.
@@MiguelMyCarGuy thanks, rs!
How short is that car?.
Bigger than last generation
So no manual transmission model 😔
No, the US Tucsons are all manual.
WHAT , THEY WENT TO A KEY AND NOT PUSH BUTTON?
On the SEL, push button is standard. The SE however has a key.
Well in most Hyundai vehicles if you just go to the package one there’s just a key
I was surprised too. Hyundai is all about value and having a lot of standard features. I figured push button would be standard lol
The lens effect ‘bending’ the image is awful.
Yeah, new camera im trying to get the hang of. Sorry
Gauges are ugly 80’s do not go well with the futuristic look , push start should be standard. Stick in emblem in the back window should be a delete. I will definitely go with the higher versions to get digital gauges.
My mom bought this version.
Awesome!
SE interior sucks. When will you have the hybrid limited?
No official ETA, BUT we have several already ordered. Hopefully before the end of the year.
@@MiguelMyCarGuy i mean not the plug-in hybrid, just the regular hybrid.
In Florida we don't get the plug-in hybrid so the regular hybrid Tucson's should be here later on in the year.
@@RiasatAbir Plug-in hybrid Tucson is coming in summer 2021
@@2005acurarl yeah I see that vague timeline everywhere. Hev in spring and phev in summer.
Isn't it a 2021 car?
No. The 2021 Tucson is still an SUV
@@MiguelMyCarGuy you sir have confused me a lot more
@@juny9445 If you went to Korea the 2021 Hyundai Tucson looks like the 2022 Tucson
Well yeah.
What is the logic of Hyundai having wireless Android Auto for the lower trims but not the Limited? Hyundai did the same foolish thing for the 2021 Palisade. The Calligraphy does not have it but the lower trims do have it. Logic just make no sense to me!
Trust me, if I designed it every single one would have it. Until then tho, at least most of them have wireless CarPlay lol
@@MiguelMyCarGuy seeing how the SE/SEL offer wireless CarPlay, do they also come with wireless charging or do you still have to charge with a cord?
Hyundai did it because they know most drivers will choose the lower trims. So it's a marketing strategy to add wireless Apple Carplay/Android Auto to get people to buy. No any other car brands is offering that as standard on their vehicles. Hyundai always have a trick on their sleeves. They may add wireless Apple Carplay/Android Auto across the board on all trims probably on a refresh model.
the rear logo placement is terrible!
Really dislike speedometer on the left, I think newer Hyundai vehicles all have speedometer on the left, even the digital gauge cluster don’t have option to swap the speedometer and tachometer, which is really annoying, it’s like you are right handed person, but you have to start using your left hand to write things, it’s really annoying when you are so used to see speedometer on the right.
Thats how left handed people feel all the time, but they eventually adjust.
Considering this is a "Right-Handed" world. As a Lefty, im offended by this comment! Lol
It looks like a mustang in the back. It's a nice looking ride but I still.dont like SUVs.
Yeah, it does look like a mustang from the back!
Love the outside, not so much the inside. It was a poor choice to get rid of physical buttons to control the radio and climate functions. I suspect they will bring that back in future models. It was also not smart to use all that high gloss black trim. It’s the same trim in my 2019 Sonata and it’s a pain to keep clean and dust free, and it just looks cheap. I’m also not a fan of that instrument cluster. It looks like an after thought - like a smart tablet was just stuck there because whatever was supposed to be there is missing. And those shift buttons in the center consul are just waiting for spills and crumbs. The outside of the car looks tough, radical, and futuristic. The inside looks ridiculous! It’s because of this ridiculous interior that I am looking at other options, possibly the Santa Fe, or possibly waiting until Hyundai fixes this interior mess.
Hyundai doesn't make a red Tucson Hybrid. Sucks.
Wait till you buy one and it has hella recalls and the service department sucks pos !!
what recalls. They need to recall you back to the facial doctor fam.
OWO
It looks so weird. Too many lines and angles going on. 😑
So does Cardi B, but she's doing pretty well.
