my dad has a Luna 26 Motorsailor which has a much more inviting wheelhouse with two forward facing pilot seats and a U-shape bench in the back - down in the saloon it has the restroom and kitchen on the left and a dinette on the right.

You never stated the beam width.
With that big of an engine and the waterline that's way to slow a cruise speed. Need a hull change.
