DJI Mini 3 Review - Best Entry Level Drone with Pro Quality

- A NEW DJI Mini 3 is here already, I have been super happy with the quality so far. Hands down this takes the spot for the best entry level drone on the market, but since it has the Pro model's sensor/camera, you will still get footage good enough to sell.
I go over this in my drone review of the DJI Mini 3 BUT almost the same specs as DJI Mini 3 Pro:

4K - 3840 x 2160
12mp RAW photos
Vertical Camera
38 minutes of flight time (4 min improvement)
10km Range
Same batteries. ND Filters also fit both thank god

Smart Remote Option (DJI RC)
Only Specs that were Removed:
4K 30fps instead of 4K 60fps
Bottom Sensors only. Front and back removed
Hyperlapse removed - sad :(
Active Track 4.0 gone
Mastershots removed (who cares)
4K 30fps max vs. 4K 60fps on Mini 3 Pro (who cares)
120fps 1080p Slow Motion gone
10-bit D-Cinelike profile gone. Normal color profile only on Mini 3
So far no issues, no weirdness. Really was a straightforward deal, remove the extra features that were expensive to produce and create a cheaper version of the same body you're already manufacturing that is tried and proven.

Great time to get into drones, this is unbelievable to get so much for this price.
I paid $1200 for a mavic pro 1 in 2018 that had like NONE of this and looked like it was filmed on a hello kitty camera

Some things that weren't finalized while I made this^
Mini 3 has H.264 instead of H.265. Annoying but maybe that's what helps it gain more flight time
720p transmission to the Smart Remote instead of 1080p transmission with the Mini 3 Pro - also probably helps battery
48mp photos on mini 3 pro sure, but those don't count, that is a software trick but its a 12mp sensor just blowing it up to 48mp, we've all done side by sides on RUclips to show this doesn't change anything. That quad-bayer technology trick has room to grow. So photos are the same

I never bothered about changing to the Mini 2 when it came out but the Mini3 is very worth the upgrade!

Always love your content, I've been trying to find what I want to do for a career for a while now, and I truly enjoy all things drones. I have no idea how to start or where to start to get a job as a drone pilot in 2023. There are so many possibilities, I just don't know where to start. Does the Mini 3 non pro version also get the gimbal drop issue in sports mode that the Mini 2 has? Or has DJI fixed this problem in the Mini 3?
can you plug your phone into the DJI RC so i could fly with the dronemask while still having the built in screen of the controller?
Have you heard any updates/reports about the mini 3 and the screen-included RC, as it relates to range problems?
My understanding is they changed the location of the antennas on the drone. But maybe the range issue on the 3 Pro was also a software issue?

It costs $429 for the Mini 3 now WITH the smart remote so I had to buy one. I just wish the Mini 3 Pro came down in price too though.

I tried to do this professionally for a little bit, but I'm not willing to move to my airspace is absolute hell (vps). With that said, I still watch all your videos and absolutely love your content.
I still have not used 120fps slo-mo, ActiveTrack, or any of the Master Shots capabilities. Hyperlapse is my jam, though.

The Mini 3 W/RC is $1019 in Australia. I paid $1039 for the Mini 3 Pro W/RC just two weeks ago..
Seems like an unnecessary SKU to me, adding to an already busy product lineup.

Indeed no 48 mega pixel on this version
That 48mp is so dumb, it’s a 12mp photo scaled up to 48mp. It makes sense for some areas (like exposure on cell phones) but it’s basically identical. I have a video doing side by sides on the Air 2 when this was originally up for debate.
Bottom line it’s a 12mp sensor no matter what size it’s saving the file as

Okay, does ANYONE else out here who flies a drone have problems with birds? They keep going after my mavic air 2, made it crash at one point. ( seriously, the little devil just went right for the kill and dove into my drone) what’s the deal with that? Any advice? It’s SO NERVE WRECKING, any time I see a bird my anxiety goes 📈
