I've got the Bass Simplifier too, for a home implementation. I use it to "clean" the sound of the bass, by adding just a little of the amp in the mix. Maybe you'll find it useful: I found out that by patching the parallel signals inversely, i.e. parallel FX "send" to preamp FX "return" and parallel FX "return" to preamp FX "send" what you do is essentially reverse the mix knob but you benefit from it being much more "clean", i.e. you can get a greater percentage of clean sound in your mix, because in the original configuration, even at 0% (fully clean) there is quite a lot of amp going into the mix and you can not get a clean sound.

I saw that Ampeg SGT DI there - I use it as my DI for a lot of session gigs. It's often my backup to FOH!

@@IvanBassistThanks - it's great for live ampless sessions straight to the FOH board. I've also got the Quad Cortex, but I don't bring that to House Band gigs where the general public might end up playing bass... The Ampeg is a bit easier to leave on the floor... 😀

I am using DCX bass for my preamp , I feel though that the overdrive has something metallic to it, but as a clean boost it's awsome it's transparent but adds this little touch of "more" to the sound ...

Awesome setup, Ivan 😎🤘🏻🎸 I’ve been constructing my pedalboards to go ampless. Especially since I’ve purchased a preamp pedal with a headphone jack and cab simulator. This was a major game changer for me. Especially since I can use my pedalboard for both silent practice and ampless recordings. I can also use it for ampless gigs too(that is if the venue I perform at has a good p.a system). Other than that, great setup and have an awesome tour.

@@IvanBassist on my main pedalboard, I got a mooer radar cab simulator pedal along with a caline wine cellar. On my backup pedalboard, I got a nu-x Melvin lee Davis bass preamp pedal(which that pedal is a game changer for me). Right now, I’ve been thinking about purchasing a new preamp for my main pedalboard. I was thinking of getting a joyo tidal wave out of curiosity.
Update: I’ve recently purchased a joyo tidal wave bass preamp pedal for my main pedalboard and it sounds phenomenal for the price. It can go from a clean tube tone to overdriven tube sound. When it comes to preamps, I primarily use it for clean tones. Especially since I own drive pedals I treasured. Anywho, I plan on recording new tunes with this preamp pedal and see how it turns out.

Nice! I'm very interested in your views on the DCX. Have you given up on the Origin Effects Bassrig? Not a contender as a backup?
The bassrig sounds great, but I have amp simulations inside the quad cortex + other effects, which makes my life easier while touring. The DCX is working great on tour. It adds some nice analog grit/saturation to the signal :)

Suena brutal como simulador de ampeg, pero ya tengo eso dentro del Quad Cortex. No tengo necesidad de llevar lo mismo dos veces

I haven’t used that feature, yet, but it’s a nice implementation for sure.

Hello. DCX It's a small size and a nice sound.
It depends on your personal preference, but I'm inquiring because you've been using the noblepreamp product. How about comparing neve 1073 with noblepreamp?
A 1073 and the Noble are very different units 😅 I wouldn’t take a 1073 rack to a gig or on the road haha.
I could compare the UAD 1073 plugin vs Noble, but I doubt that’s relevant
