- Typically, we commonly see people quitting their 9-5 jobs to pursue content creation full time. Well, in my case, it's the opposite.
Over the last 3 years, I've been a full time travel content/digital creator but am deciding to go back to the 9-5 life. This reverse isn't talked and shared about as much but I thought it was necessary. Shout out to all you creators who haven't stopped & are pushing forward. You got this, rooting for you all!!
It's been a wild wild last 3 years and as I thought this decision through and through again, I'm excited for this next chapter of my life 😌

Grace, your videos, photography, and storytelling are amazing. You are very professional, and your videos are packed with information and knowledge without the BS fluff. I really enjoyed your videos with your Grandfather, he is a cool guy. Some that I would enjoy having a beer with and listening to his stories. Most people do not leave their hometown let alone another State or Country. I went to college to be an Architect, but that did not last long. I went into construction as a project manager, then procurement manager, and finally as the Director of Construction Contracts. It takes trial and error in life to figure out what you want. Be patient grasshopper, you are still young. There are a million ways to expand your travel vlogging, etc to make money besides RUclips.

Hello, from Cambodia. Small back story, we have a Channel called For Riel so I kinda know where you are coming from. Our journey is a lot different to yours as we are in our late 40's and are semi retired now.
This was a very interesting and informative Vlog. Everything you said was spot on, Content Creating is very demanding and time consuming. Everyone has this strange idea it's all sitting at coffee shops, laying on beaches and partying all night (well that's a little bit true). If you go by hourly rate CC is terrible, unless you have a huge channel. We are Expat Vloggers not Pure travel Vloggers, which I think is the best way to go. Travel Vloggers never last, it's a lifestyle that's not sustainable.
This was a really great video. You did a great job on organizing your thoughts and emotions. I found it to be far from boring (Coconut Cold Brew). Please keep making videos about your transition of returning to corporate or about whatever you decide is the best thing for you to do right now. Good luck Grace! I'm cheering for you!

Coconut cold brew!! This was a great watch for me. I’ve always wanted to leave working my full time job and try the creator traveling lifestyle. I’m usually someone who is anxious with change but it’s been a dream of mine since I’ve been younger. I loved that you gave it your all and shared what it’s been life returning home :) your video is encouraging and it’s awesome how candid you are not just about traveling but the reality of heyyyy we all gotta make money sometimes and it’s okay to try different lifestyles whether it’s 9 to 5 or nomadic living, it’s alll okay!! ☺️

You should look into remote work so that you can still travel but also have a steady income.

Why serve coffee when you can be a digital nomad working remote jobs while you travel and make content... look up remote jobs online there are tons like data entry jobs boring yes but it pays and you and keep traveling and make vlogs

Normal jobs are so depressing. Sorry, but there is no way to soften this reality. When I was 23 I went to Thailand too for the 1st time and it changed my perception forever. Since then I've travelled to different countries any opportunity I got.
I vowed that I'll do everything within my power to escape the rat race and never have to work again. Thankfully, I got a pretty cushy engineering job in an offshore rig doing rotations, meaning I don't work half the year. So I can travel a lot now on my time off. But it's sill not enough. I plan to quit as soon as I have enough passive income from investments.
Any other opinion about working in a corporate environment is just a coping mechanism by slaves who can't come to term with reality.
