I just now bought this on PS4 for €4.99 reduced from €24.99. There is no trailer on the store page so I came here to see what it is like. As soon as I seen the art style and the combat I bought it right away. I love these types of games.

@joser7589 I just bought it for that same price also! I got Sìfu also; but decided to play this first! It is like a mini "souls like" game! It has so much depth and individuality that makes this a beyond awesome game!
I'm really on the fence about this one. The combat feels too sluggish for me after trying out a bit of Hades but the Bloodborne vibe is tempting me to get it. I'll probably wait for a sale and play some Hades in the meantime. Thank you for your thoughts on this interesting game :)
@@amranitaha5962 lol no, that's how they get you. Whenever they launch a game and it's already "on sale" the actual price is always the sale price. You gotta be privy to these anti-consumer practices :]
@@khafail6902 I get what you mean, but there have been plenty of times when new games launch with a discount, then they hike back up in price shortly after.
Im pretty confident his will be my game of the year and im nominating it on steam. But wont know for sure until.I dig in obviously but I love that they really werent shy about their Dark Souls influence and that is when these games shine. I hate when people tickle Souls but try to hard to be something else and the game just sucks. Those that follow the Souls style precisely always succeed. Salt & Sanctuary proved that. Honestly I see more Bloodborne influence but pretty much the same either way.
Sure, as long as you understand you can't go into fights button-mashing and need to be careful and time your attacks, anyone should be fine with this or any Souls-like.
Gonna sound like a gripe...but I am tired of "souls-like" games. They might as well be called "roll around until you run out of stamina and try and sneak in a hit here and there" Give me Ghost of Tsushima any day :D
@The Slap Nah you probably failed the intro and called it a bad game. It's okay to be a bad player, there's lots of em out there. Embrace your suckiness.
There are a few types of weapons and it’ll get to the point where you have to manage your inventory. There’s also a few types of guns. Each can use runes to gain elemental ability and stat increases. There’s also an item that removes runes to put on future weapons.
My problem is that now all this is reduced to roll - attack. I loved Children of Morta, I had to retrieved a little bit but I felt I was progressing because you had to learn from many characters, so it was a cool approach in the genre.
There’s a lot of mini-bosses, but as the title suggests, there’s seven main bosses :P I’m not the reviewer, but I captured footage. It took me maybe 3 hours to get to the 2nd boss. There’s also side quests though too, which revolve around item collecting and delivering messages. Luckily there’s a fast travel system between shrines.
@@NoisyPixelNews ooohhhh baby I like what I hear. This is the real deal, I knew it!! I just had a gut feeling about Morbid. Bloodborne esque, dark horror, gore, meaningful exploration, soulsborne combat, variety, character progression etc etc. Im in love! Cant wait to play it! I think it may make my S tier list of games along with Salt & Sanctuary, Blasphemous, Dark Souls 1-3, Demon's Souls, Bloodborne, Hollow Knight and Children of Morta. Yay
There's some really great Soulslike games. Dark Devotion, Blasphemous, Death's Gambit, Nioh and depends if you count these 2 -- the GOATS "Hollow Knight" and "Dead Cells".
Dead cells is NOTHING like dark souls its a roguelike first of all and there is no sense of exploration the combat is way too fast And its randomized! So its not a soulslike
@@DominantDodo that's why I said it depends on you if you wanna count it as soulslike or not. Anyways, Dead Cells is a must try esp if u want some fun satisfying challenge.
With it coming out so close to cyberpunk, the developers should have put it on game pass. I hate to see games like this go under the radar. If it was on game pass I'd play it, but I can't justify a purchase this close to the release of cyberpunk
I got it for $6. It's not worth full price, and it's not a soulslike. The art style is the best part of this game, the rest is sluggish and forgettable.
@@NoisyPixelNews No need for semantics. Just touch on the story more because that's also an important part of a review. It is a factor that other people can consider when purchasing a game.

I personally like to think of this game as Bloodborne meets a link to the past, it’s sick
