You think you don't need it until you try it. Steam VR games wirelessly (you need a 1Gbps router with 5Ghz wifi), VR games on the go with inside out out tracking, very light weight for comfort and for your wallet, games are fairly priced. The only downside is that it requires a Facebook registration.

Quick tip. When u put the quest on you want to make sure the top band is holding most of the weight and the side bands just make sure it doesn’t wobble. When doing that you won’t headset marks on your eyes.

forever. The ocylus months after release, even on first updates it was very, well put together VR, sharp looking high Fram rate, all in one, no cables, more like an easy start for VR players.

I've had mine for over a year now and I'm still in awe at times. I love it. I really like that I can put it on for even just 20 minutes and check some things out. There is an experience or game for everyone. Some people like horror. Some people like mini-golf. Some people like to watch movies. I even like watching RUclips inside it cause it's a big screen. I love the variety. The ease of buying and downloading games. I really appreciate that they are constantly adding new features and improving with regular updates. This headset feels like the start of something new; a new way to game. It can only get better and better and that's super exciting!

Hows it like to watch a movie on it ? is it gimmicky or actual good?
@@sash9photography I’ve never watched a movie in VR before, but I _have_ watched RUclips videos on it (using RUclips VR), and it’s incredible! Regular videos play on a massive floating screen in front of you, and 360 videos put you right in the center of the action, as you’d expect from VR.
I bought this on Boxing Day ....an impulse buy and i have to say it is fantastic!! A real nice entry to the VR world!!! I have been loving it since!

My Valve controllers only work for 10 minutes. Then, I need to restart my pc for another 10 minutes of VR. The system has been working perfect for a year, this started two months ago. Steam told me to find someone local to maybe fix it. Geek Squad is a pack of morons. Valve NEVER responded. I will PAY YOU if you can fix it.

Vr is the best when it comes to sport games, workout, rythm games, fps games, and socialize. If that's not good enough for you then there is no such thing that will please you. I'm a huge new techs basher and VR is the only new techs that I praised for many reasons

I can recommend 2 free games that are very good, Archery Dungeon, and Moon Rider. I bought Population One and it's not fun for me I get motion sickness in 5 minutes, I also bought, The Room VR Dark Matter, I don't understand how it got such high ratings it's hard to figure out stuff and it's boring when you get stuck like I did, and can't move any further. I like Pistol Whip that was worth buying, and the other fun free games like Elixir, First Steps, and First Contact are good for beginners.

One tip is that you should definitely use the spacer because you risk scratching the lenses but if you are willing to get it, some companies sell prescription lenses that you just put onto the headstet

i got the PSVR which in itself isnt all that bad, but when i have to set up so many cables and a camera every time i wanna use it, it gets tiring, also my ps4 sounds like a jet engine.
an honest review from someone who has one and was very hesitant to purchase it
get one if you have friends who have it and if you are willing to buy games ($10-$40) if you don’t have friends who have one, still be willing to buy games and don’t get one unless you like playing by yourself in quietness

I’ve used an Oculus Go in the past (which was kind of the prototype for the Quest in a way), but it was sadly discontinued last year, so I’ve been without a VR headset for a while now. Christmas, however, will be changing that, as I’m getting this exact headset for Christmas this year! I’ve been wanting to get one of these for a while now, and now it’s about to actually happen!
