    Foden just doesn’t fit the boring safety first football that Southgate plays and there are genuinely people in this comments section who will have better tactical acumen than Lee Carsley had the other night. Give Foden a shot under a proper manager when the FA can be bothered to appoint one and see what happens. Nobody fulfilled their potential under Southgate, his record just looks better because of fluke draws that meant we never played big teams until late in tournaments where we promptly lost. In Euro 2020 we didn’t have any and still failed in a home final.

      @warreng5257 2 часа назад +2

      Foden is being singled out because he’s not scored or assisted in 1,200+ minutes for England.
      They’ve dropped saka to play him on the right, to no success. They’ve dropped natural left wingers to play him on the left, to no success. He’s played as the lone 10 against Iceland recently, nothing. They’ve dropped the striker position just to create an extra 10 position for foden, no success. Even Noni from Chelsea have briefly joined the England setup and already contributed to a goal. You can’t keep blaming everyone but Foden. Rice is a defensive midfielder, and even he’s contributed to more goals than Foden has in recent years.

      @@warreng5257 no he hasn't. He has been played predominantly on the left or right wing and the false 9 in midweek. He has NEVER been given a qualification campaign or tournament in his position. Stop talking nonsense. Go all the way back to 2017 and look at his positioning and use. Less than 10% of minutes for England have been in the favoured position. Meaning 90% hasn't been. Do some analysis qnd research and you might see these things. Spend the majority of your day quoting 115 probably too. Utter cuck, ZERO balk knowledge

      @@warreng5257 Foden can play on the left, on the right, in midfield, or at false 9 for Pep and he’s brilliant in any of those roles. Apparently that’s a “system” player even though he’s the most versatile footballer on the planet currently.

    All the antifoden chat on here is rubbish. Foden has not been played at 10 for any length of time. He could also play central midfield. Sticking him out wide is always a mistake.
