Can't sit and search Maguire's, but he did say something similar once. Basically any player would say that because the pressure is immense at United and it's easier for them at their international duties, but the media dissect the words of the foreign players much more.

It doesn't have the over dry weather like Portugal or Spain which is suitable for a limited amount of crop types. The UK has arguably some of the best fish in the world especially from parts fo scotland and northern East atlantic UK waters. Its grade of Beef is world renound, where do you actually think Angus is? The quality control in our supermarkets is higher than nearly every European country. A lot of Europeans I know hadn't even heard of Sell by, used by and best before dates. Sorry but to the UK has lower standards is completely wrong.

First red card was rescinded. Second sending off was BS on both cards. I say that as a neutral as well. Porto player wasn’t even touched on Bruno’s second yellow card and pretended he had a head injury when he was never touched. That player should have been booked, not Bruno.

They should remove the importance of the captain role at United because there are not characters there who have the qualities. It should be given to whoever is the most senior player on the pitch.

We see his head go at the slightest hint of adversity, we see him sulking, we see him blaming everyone around him for everything that goes wrong. There are lots of different ways you can be a leader; the way Bruno does it is not one of them.
I suspect that on some level Bruno knows this better than anyone. Giving the armband to someone else - literally anyone else - would be better for everyone, including for Bruno.
