Goddamn that scene with Emberthal and Ebyssian is soooo damn good. Personally feel like it's the best mid-expansion cutscene rendered in-engine since Legion. Old Soldier & other full CGI renders are another class, but for in-engine renders? This is top 3 for me.

This minipatch actually was interesting. I did not expect anything more then a new zone for some catchup gear (which it mostly is). That we get some good lore and one awesome cutscene was really unexpected, but it is a welcome suprise really.
This was a nice prologue to Embers of Neltharion, and the cut- scene with Emberthal and Ebyssian was really good. I think Ebyssian is the best candidate for Aspect of the Black Dragonflight.
I honestly feel the same. Would also knock both Wrathion and Sabellian down a peg lol. But in all seriousness, he has so much compassion and does have so many great qualities that would make him a great leader and a wonderful Aspect for the healing Black Dragons.

17:50 Seeing some commonality between Neltharions ideals and the story of the Iron warriors legion from warhammer 40k here. Perturabo the leader of the iron warriors always was always given the most difficult and grueling battles, which inevitably resulted in him and the legion turning traitor to chaos. In this case the black dragon flight/Neltharion turning to the void which equals to chaos.
All the scenes where the Dractyr are like 'thank you for aiding us' such as right here: 7:32 are all a bit outta place if your playing as a Dractyr! I was always like, oh that must be if your running through this as a non-Dracthyr...
I secretly like the *Dracthyr* , tho they get targeted as the fembois of WoW. For some reason 🤷😅 ? they're just fun to play as pulling a Superman and randomly able to fly without a flying mount . Don't know what there to dislike about em .
I know it's believed the Queen and Harbinger mentioned in the one book is Azshara, but couldn't it also be Xal'atath? It would explain why they specifically mention her opposition to Order.
ITs so weird hearing Taliesin Jaffe as a real big villian in WoW. I'm used to hearing him as Darion Mograine, but even with that I always felt a little weird because I heard him so much on Critical Role.
More and more I am getting more certain that Neltharion genuinely believed that, as the Earth-Warder, only he would be able to truly bear the weight of the entire world upon his own shoulders. Whether because he found a horrible truth that he could never tell the other aspects under fear of his friends turning on him like they did the incarnates, or even believed that he had to protect this world no matter the cost. His desire to protect the world led him to create the dracthyr and even the gauntlet that was meant to control them as an extension of himself. But when he lost that control, not only did he realize that it could not be regained but that their freedom made them stronger than anticipated. Knowing his fate was sealed after giving into the void's power to save his creations and that order magic could no longer protect them. As his final act as Neltharion, he had the dracthyr trapped in stasis and stripped of their Black Dragonflight magic in order to protect them from Deathwing's command and from being compromised by the void themselves much like the rest of the Black Dragonflight. I personally am hoping this is the case. The reason being not only would this be fitting for Ebyssian, Emberthal, Wrathion, and even Sabellion (who I think each have a trait or two they inherited from Neltharion) to inherit Neltharion's true legacy, that being protectors of Azeroth and its people, along with learning that no single person should have the bear the weight of responsibility alone, not even an Earth-Warder. Depending on how the coming patch goes, I would love to set up a memorial for Neltharion. But that is a bit ahead of myself, let us see how the story unfolds first.
remember.. aside from his expression, Wrathion is the GRANDSON of Neltharion ,being the actual whelp of Nyxondra, who was child of Deathwing. Sabellian was a direct child, but different mother than Onyxia/Nefarian
There isn't an unown old god hidden away somewhere... There are two. They imprisoned 5 old gods. But they never imprisoned y'shiraj. Of course one is just xal'atath, obviously.
I've been going over the lore of DragonFlight just catching up. Would anyone know if there's any lore in-game that says why the mother oathstone malfunctioned? Or hasn't Blizzard gotten that far in the story yet?
Is ebyssian really that good if a choice? If he was raised to be a tauren then wouldn't leading something as cutthroat as the black dragonflight not be a good match for him?The times a black dragon hadn't tried to kill or not manipulate us In some way shape or form are too few and far between.
I will say I'm not sure why she asked "how many black dragons have you buried?!!" I understand she is emotional but that was weird to say being that many of the black dragons were killed... also the other elemental dragons have visages????? Why didn't razageth have one then?? They must have just literally came up with that, I was assuming the primalist couldn't transform and that was just something the aspects and their Kin could do because of titan gifts.
Emberthal said that because while many black dragons died, it was unlikely Ebyssian ever tended to any of them, since he was either still unhatched or was hiding from the rest of his flight in Highmountain. Basically she was saying he couldn't relate to having to personally witness and care for his own kind. As for the primalist visage, it could be that they wrote in primslist visage forms later, but I think it is more likely that Raz wasn't really trying to lay low as the newly freed Primalists are trying to do. So she had no need to really use her visage, instead preferring to use brute force.
The primalists did mention Razsageth was a bit naive and her ego took over, so yeah she definitely would have done a Deathwing of staying in dragon form to be big scary intimidating Storm-eater Wrathion looking up at her when he first met her he literally pulled his head back from her like a kid about to get told off so She probably also was like, I dont need to scoop to Alexstrasza's level and use my visage, she was also the youngest While as someone else said the other three are hiding our in the shadows to build strength, they're also older than their little sister and know what she did didn't work so time to do a different approach

It's such a character driven moment, and takes its time with both characters. I was genuinely stunned. You don't see this very often in WoW.

we never saw Razsageth in anything but her natural form - she undoubtedly had a visage, but every time se see her she is on a powertrip.
