Your a stand up guy. Most people out there would have left it alone if they knew it was going to cost them money to fix the issue. Thanks for all the videos. Keep it Rad.
Excellent video. I say your explanation is 100% plausible. As someone who has been working on cars for many years, the best way to learn and keep yourself humble is to admit you screwed up. Nobody likes to keep saying “I screwed up”, so it makes you be sure you are doing the work correctly.
I'm sorry this one gave you trouble, but thanks for sharing what you learned. I especially appreciate the tip from the troubleshooting video about using a torque wrench to check that the engine spins easily enough.
Hey been these engine for years the apex seal tip will lock onto the rotar housing edge if the stack is tightened in one go ,you need to rotate and tighten the assembly to settle the tips in steps until your final torque of 28-35 ft/lbs. This more so in mazda or some of the unbreakable seals that have a fine tip.
I love your videos man you really helped me out a lot when I was rebuilding my 12a thank you for doing what you do I see your passion and don’t ever stop being the stand up guy you are I hope nothing but the best for you and your future endeavors
I agree with you about the housing pulling the corner seal out of place. Put it back together without taking it apart any further. Of course ck out how freely it turns over.
@@RADPotential I haven't built a rotary engine but was wondering this also. What are the risks or disadvantages of using superglue to stick the apex seal pieces together?
Hey man! Where do you balance your rotors/eshaft? I'm also in Indiana and Banzai-Racing will only do it if I pay to have my engine built by them as well :/
I've thought about doing a 20b na in my fc but another channel told me since it's a se model the transmission and rear end won't handle it so it's on a back burner for now
An NA 20B isn't going to make much more than 350 wheel. Stock diff and trans shouldn't be that bad. If your just street driving and doing pulls it's will be fine
@@RADPotential cool. Its good when you can do completely different stuff day and night. Much love from new Zealand. I own two rotaries an fd and a corolla with a full cut 13bbp. Keep up the cool content

After watching the concern you had I’m glad to see this video today. I was actually feeling anxious about it myself. You did it right!

Inspirational for taking on an RX build.
This was fantastic to watch for us leer ing, thank you so much for showing
Man…what an awesome watch!
This is great work man! Thank you for your honesty
Great series of videos on this engine. Thank you for showing the hiccups along with everything else. Good on you.
Thank you for sharing, and you have a really nice attitude towards the learning process!
Great informational and learning video keep up the great teaching 👍 am more confident about building my first own eng thanks to ur videos .
Thanks for sharing your considerable knowledge.

Loving your channel I'm rebuilding my 13brew out of my FD. This stuff is super helpful.
Yes sir
Thank you
It’s actually best to show this stuff. Good for trouble shooting for the diy builder
Yes sir!!! Anyone can build one of these!
great vid my man. thanks for doing ur thing
Best RUclips channel ! Lots of love from hamilton ontario
Best laid plans ... bummer man glad it's recoverable
Surely spinning the motor that amount of time with no oil circulating could possibly damaged the Bearings or Seals?

When fitting apex seals i glue apex seal to corner piece or u use the assist piece and this will not happen..hope it helps
.love ya channel
what is your option of supergluing the corner piece of the apex seal
How do you feel about using the super glue trick for apex seals during installation? I hear people on both sides of it.
Typically I'd only do that for a bridgported build. But that would have prevented this issue
@@RADPotential I haven't built a rotary engine but was wondering this also. What are the risks or disadvantages of using superglue to stick the apex seal pieces together?
What state your in
Hey man! Where do you balance your rotors/eshaft? I'm also in Indiana and Banzai-Racing will only do it if I pay to have my engine built by them as well :/
You could have chips motor sports or defined autoworks do it. Defined is up in ohio
At what point do you have to balance your pieces? If you are using all the same rotors, flywheel, e shaft, etc…..do you need to? Thanks!
Is it possible to press in the oil control rings into the rotors prior to assembly?
Yes you would do that for sure. I'd build the rotors on the work bench. And then install them into the engine
@@RADPotential Thank you. Learning a lot from your videos. Keep up the great work.
Where did you get that Rotary Engine Quick Tips poster?
I made it and printed it myself
@@RADPotential Nice! You should make some and sell to support the channel. Quick Tips by RAD.
Hey you ever thought of doing a 20b na build?
Eventually I want to build one for my first gen

@@RADPotential sweet thanks, I don't race anymore so it's all cruising.
New to the Channel but loving the content. What is your normal 9to 5
