Taebaekseon rail road

The Taebaek Line was partially opened in 1949 and extended to several areas on the mountain by 1966. It was opened as an industrial railway to transport coal, tungsten, cement, etc., but it was used less than in the past, reflecting the situation in Korea where production/mining costs were high. In addition, with the development of road transportation, the number of people riding this train was gradually decreasing.
