He NEEDS to be "special", the "prodigy", because of his deep insecurities. A normal person would say "yeah, I love this game been playing for a long time" and it would be cool, but not him, he has to be the amazing prodigy, he has to feel special because he knows his only real talent is deceiving people into believing he has any talent at all. Living under the shadow of his actually talented and successful cousin really kills him.
There's no evidence him & Steven Tyler are at all related, & people have looked into it & saw at the very least they're not closely related. He probably just started saying they were cousins when he found out that, "Tyler," was short for, "Tallarico."
Here's the sad part, one of these stories could actually be true. But since Tommy has lied compulsively his whole life, both accounts are just straw in the fireplace.
It’s been established that he is a compulsive liar and a narcissist. It’s very hard for people like this to change. This is how they socialize; reasoned thought isn’t behind it. It’s as natural as an addict looking for a fix. Just keep on making things up, bigger and bigger. What you said yesterday doesn’t matter. What matters right now, is tipping the social scales in this room, in order for everybody to recognise that somehow, at some level, he is above them.
Initially I was wondering he'd lie about this and made a comment about it, but looking at the actual circumstances of the event, maybe the reason he didn't just talk about his thoughts on backgammon (considering that he's an experienced player) is that despite having that experience he doesn't really have many thoughts on it at all
I don't think he won fairly. I watched this match, he wore ear buds the whole time and at one point his backgammon teacher came to the table and sat down by him and the tourney director made him move. I think he was sending Tommy proper move notation via Bluetooth. The match was a blowout. Tommy was playing a guy from Israel and destroyed him. Not even close. It was live from Monte Carlo and was the Intermediate bracket championship.
His opponent took a really bad re-double early on and played very poorly overall. He was also an 18 year old kid from Israel. Tommy didn't play great either and even made an illegal move at one point and got away with it. It's obvious that there isn't much competition in backgammon yet. They are hosting a tournament in Monte Carlo which only fairly wealthy people are going to be able to attend. They host other tournaments in places like Dubai which is just not something your average joe is going to be competing in. Most of the entrants were old rich retired folks.
The simplest way to prove Tommy Tallarico lied about something is to just see if his mouth is open.

He’s such a bizarre narcissist. He always has to have some edge that makes him unique or interesting in the moment.

Poor little guy really can't help himself.
He's not a little guy! He's actually TINY!😂
I guess Tommy was sponsored by Amico. You know, the money that was supposed for the console.
What is a Tallarico ? A miserable little pile of lie's.
The absolute gall of this dude to still be giving out interviews in 2024
And to *still be lying* in those interviews, does he honest to God actually believe that _he of all people_ would be able to get away with that?
He sounds so different now, seems really deflated
Watch the full video, he can’t even admit that he is divorced.
Where is the full video?

Notice how this match is the only one without comments on 😏
@@InsightfulUndercurrents did he say his dad was looking up at him? lol
The dude just lies about everything
At least he’s proving he’s a proven individual… at lying.
He just won the tournament and couldn't leave it at that lmao he HAD to make it look bigger by adding a touching story
Let's be specific he won a side tournament for intermediate players and he didn't play particularly well either.

Well they don't call him Tommy Tall-LIE-rico for nothing.
You mean Tell-Lies-rico?
Is this his first interview in a while? I feel like he disappeared around the time the oof video dropped and he stopped down as CEO of Intellivision
dude just wants to talk and talk. has he ever just listened?
Unbelievable!! he hasn’t learnt anything from all the Amico crap, he just can’t help lying.
Does being a lucky rookie make his win appear better or worse???
🙄😵💫Better4Worse Lies😵💫🙄
is his dad even dead?
To play devil's advocate, he could've just been lying about it back then, and came clean now, so who really knows
I mean his championship game was so epic it was watched by a whopping 2k
He just can't stop himself
Its on the launchpad

Tommy "Raygun" Tallarico.
He always wins 🥱

Hope he finds the love he needs
