They need each other, like every QB/HC duo ever. Brady picked a stacked roster and won one without Bill. Look at what happened to him the next season. He got beat by Dak in round one. Reid has great schemes. Simultaneously, Kelce gets open by not running Reid's routes, and Mahomes regularly has to play backyard football because Reid's play call didn't work. It will heavily depend on who replaces Reid. It sounds like you hope there's a fall off, but no one knows until we get there. Most likely he'll have the best offensive minds in football clambering to coach him. The most similar situation I can think of is Montana. The mid career coach change didn't slow him down.
