Art is without a doubt the most brutal and sadistic modern slasher. Period. He’s on his way to becoming as famous as guys like Jason and Micheal. We don’t know a whole lot about his backstory or who he is, that’s what makes him awesome.
Im stoked to see another slasher icon starting to take shape, but I really hate his design. I wish more effort was put into his concept as we've seen the killer clown troupe before something a little more original would've been great.
One of the scariest things with Art, is that he is actually intelligent. Like when he wore his victim's scalp to disguise himself for example. Killers such as Jason or Michael for example, they're sometimes aggressive to their own determent, Art is just as aggressive but also calculating.
Yes , or him texting Vicky (as Dawn) to come around the back because Tara is sick. Then in Terrifier 2 after he killed the guy in the beginning he filled his bag with more weapons he found like scalpels and the acid , he's very practical
Agreed, Art is definitely the smartest slasher villain. He can hotwire a car, uses his victims' phones to lure their friends, has basic knowledge of surgery making torture more brutal, he even carries a gun as a last resort.
hannibal lecter already did the face stealing bit, and it was also done by frank in the first hellraiser. just saying its not that original lol. love art
Art the Clown is a true masterpiece of a horror villain. David Howard Thornton is just phenomenal. The first actor who portrayed him was amazing too, but Thornton just takes it to another level. Needs an award.
Art is totally becoming one of the modern icons, and 90% of it is just down to the fantastic performance by David Howard Thornton (The Art from the Terrifier movies). Sure the original Art is good but Thornton is to Art what Robert Englund is to Freddy.
Fun fact: During the Clown Cafe scene where it shows the boy eating Art Crispies cereal, the person’s who voice is heard in the background describing the cereal (glass, insects and razah blades!) is none other than Art himself! Truth be told, it might not be the actual character Art The Clown, but it is the actor who plays him 😃
There’s a video I saw here on RUclips of David doing a monologue in character as The Joker in The Killing Joke that has him sounding EXACTLY like the announcer for Art Krispie cereal (can’t remember the exact name), which I find a super cool nod to how extremely talented David is with impressions and acting.
Honestly some of the funny scenes in this movie was art trying too be a "good citizen" in the costume store he tries too pay with money by using change and is just counting it and the laundry scene him cleaning up the mess he made😂the actor who plays art does such a good job
I don’t see him surpassing Jason, Freddy or Michael. Maybe on the same level/slightly below, Art is a way scarier clown than Pennywise though. Makes him better in my book
crazy how popular he’s gotten just over the last 4-5 years from All Hallows Eve. me personally he’s one of my top 3 slashers in modern times. he’s one of those killers that just don’t give a damn n shows absolutely NO mercy on anyone
He's in my top 2 my first is chucky he reminds me of monoko the massacerer she brutally murders her friends only for them to come back the next episode only to get killed again she shows no mercyand through the 100 episodes released she doesn't do one single good deed apart from curing her friend with medicine and even then she realises she saved him so she finishedps the job my shoving has head through a grinder
I don't go much on horror movies anymore nowadays but it's great to see a modern horror icon emerged that's really grabbed everyone's attention. Back in the late 70's and 80's it was all Michael Myers, Jason Vorhees and Freddy Krueger that everyone was obsessed with.
I COMPLETELY agree with number 1. I've always been a huge fan of horror movies and I've never watched something so brutal and disgusting as this scene, no joke, this almost made me throw up...
I just watched Terrifier 2 this Halloween. It's off it's rocker, but man was I entertained. Sienna rocks as that warrior angel chick. When Brooke runs into the haunted house there is a scene with a giant rat. That one is an nod to Poltergeist. That wasn't Tara at your #6. That was her sister Victioria. Allie's death also gets a nod to a Maniac scalping.
To be honest, in the 21st century, I watched a real horror movie for the first time, and felt fear. I don't think there's been such a creepy movie since 2010. Well done screenwriter and director. Looking forward to part 3
Great Video! *Art the partially scares me because he never talks, he just stares and smiles at you as he kills you, at least pennywise has the decency to talk to you*
@SamoaVsEverybody_814 yeah, Pennywise feeds on the fear of his victims. However, I highly doubt Art would fear Pennywise if anything he would probably find him amusing and mock him...and then kill him.
I always loved the scene from All hallows eve in the 3rd segment..the girl hides in the barn and Art crawls out from the dirt right in front of her. His face was priceless
Art is very symbolic. His outfit represents black/white either/or mind splitting the same as the checkered floor often seen in many games, masonic and church flooring and movies. Wow! I'm so happy #1 and #2 were placed on the list as they were! Really surprised me cause the Saw scene is already so iconic, but that bedroom scene... I've been a horror super fan for 20+ years now and that Bedroom Scene is one of the most disturbing scenes I've ever seen. Not saying it's #1 of all time... but it's up there lol
I keep replaying that scene in my mind & saying the same thing. What scene tops that scenes brutality? Yet to see Martyrs but from what I’ve seen that may very well be the most brutal thing I have ever seen personally
I agree on both, but I would have the scene where he cuts off the lady's arms and legs as number #3, because at least those 2 are dead, she on the other hand wishes she was.
I watched both All Hallow’s Eve and the first Terrifier movie on Tubi last week, and now I watched the Terrifier movie before my shift started at Regal Cinemas, and they’re both really good and very scary and gory
If being a murder clown doesn't work out for Art, he could definitely make a living washing clothes cause that clown suit was insanely pristine given how thoroughly soaked through it was 🤭
Don't know about everyone else, but to me the saw scene was worse then Allie's bedroom, that one just got sillier and sillier, where as the saw scene looked more real, actually made me flinch a bit. He is though without a doubt my new favourite horror villain 🙌
I never thought I’d see a killer clown that makes you wanna laugh with him while he’s killing someone’s at the same time. Definitely gives off a bunch of different emotions at once watching his sadistic terror
If it were real life that wouldn't be funny. Its disturbing and disgusting to see comments like yours. You sound sick. If you were to say that around me in real life, I would've stayed far away and thought of calling 911.
Allies death in the second movie has got to be one of the most brutal deaths I’ve ever seen in a horror movie. I thought I could handle gore quite well, but that scene even made me feel sick to my stomach and I had to turn it off.
Art is a different slasher in a lot of ways, he’s mute so, him making no noise not even when he gets hit, gives him a unique quality, he’s also in a way comical with his mannerism and faces he makes. He plays it safe by carrying a gun, gives his victims no chance to get an advantage over him. Also every slasher kills obviously but the way Leone made these films and the tone they have gives u an old (80s) horror film feel, him showing details of the gore in the kills makes Art unique as a slasher. To include my thought I appreciate how these films were made with such low budget. Practical effects and creativity add points to it instead of using CGI how we see with every film nowadays.

WARNING .. This may seem a great fun super scary horror but some of the scenes are so disturbing and SICK that it can really affect your mind later.. . I thought I would be fine as I've seen my share of horrors but I wasn't.
In number 4 it's Victoria not Tara, but great video as always. (Victoria is Tara's older sister who Tara called for a ride in the beginning of the film).
I only know Art from watching these sorts of videos. I really need to get my hands on his movies. I hate clowns but theres something about that monochrome Pierrot clown type style that i just love.
1:54 did you know that as shooting this scene someone saw him go in to the laundromat so the police where called but than realized it wasn’t anything serious so it was all just a big laugh for David and the police!
I’m glad Art the Clown is becoming a massive hit! I’ve been saying for years if they market him right, he’ll become the next great horror icon. It looks like it’s finally happening. Although, part 2 did leave me disappointed with the storyline they chose to focus a “Laurie Strode” type character which I loathe. I can’t stand horror movies that have the same hero and villain face off each other time & time again like Halloween & Scary Movie. It gets stale. I prefer that the movie just brings new victims for the villain to do his thing. It’s a bit brain dead, but it’s more satisfying in my opinion, but I digress. Congratulations Art the Clown on finally being recognized as the new iconic horror character we desperately needed.
I said many times that saw and hostel are some of the most if not the most brutal films.but terrifier films are officially the most rough and brutal i have ever seen
OK am I alone in this? Or does anyone else want Art Crispies to be a real cereal? Just replace the bugs, broken glass and razor blades with marshmallow shapes resembling them like a sort of slasher lucky charms. Someone please make this real!
Honestly the saw scene is way more terrifying then allies torture. Allies kill is actually hilarious how cartoony it is. Allie would have already been dead from all of the injuries art gave her. No one would be alive after all of that. Where as the saw scene in the 1st one, it's way more realistic. Being sawed from groin to head innards falling out and dying before its actually done. Yeah that's way more scary.
I totally agree, Allie’s death was just goofy bc her arms came off like she was made of clay and her screams didn’t sound realistic at all lol. The saw thing was definitely worse.

I only know Art from watching these sorts of videos. I really need to get my hands on his movies. I hate clowns but theres something about that monochrome Pierrot clown type style that i just love.
Best motion picture in a minute.
Well, as long as they don't make too many sequels and cause fatigue.
I was going to say, the bedroom scene should be number one!
I love art the clown because he is just an absolutely brutal force of nature
I said many times that saw and hostel are some of the most if not the most brutal films.but terrifier films are officially the most rough and brutal i have ever seen
OK am I alone in this? Or does anyone else want Art Crispies to be a real cereal? Just replace the bugs, broken glass and razor blades with marshmallow shapes resembling them like a sort of slasher lucky charms. Someone please make this real!
Trick or Treat Studio’s made the cereal from Child’s Play and has the rights to make Terrifier merchandise so who knows
I'm enough of a nerd that I'd probably buy that cereal and enjoy it.
Jeff's death and Briana's death were bad, but the bedroom scene was the worst.
Dawns hacksaw death kept me up for nights
Honestly the saw scene is way more terrifying then allies torture. Allies kill is actually hilarious how cartoony it is. Allie would have already been dead from all of the injuries art gave her. No one would be alive after all of that. Where as the saw scene in the 1st one, it's way more realistic. Being sawed from groin to head innards falling out and dying before its actually done. Yeah that's way more scary.
That’s what I’m saying saw is wayyy worse that Allie death
He has a power to keep people alive longer
He has to power to keep people alive and also what is worse about Allie’s death is that she still alive
I totally agree, Allie’s death was just goofy bc her arms came off like she was made of clay and her screams didn’t sound realistic at all lol. The saw thing was definitely worse.
