Fantastic video. Great job covering raid mode and the rules in general!

Best value core set FFG ever made, probably the best value of any minis game actually. This is my fave game of all time (equal with Eldritch Horror) so I may be biased. Thanks for the playthrough!
I'm back to playing this on TTS since the lockdown, there are a couple of great mods on there for it.

Great video! I only have the core set so it was cool to see a new hero in action and how the app works. Thx Mikey Mike.

I might do a playthrough at some point of the core campaign. Then you can see the stuff you are able to play :)

Which one do you find more enjoyable, Imperial Assault or Lotr Jime? I can't decide after watching this video.

    • @OneStopCoopShop

Great question. The base box of Imperial Assault is a MUCH better value than JIME, because you have competitive skirmish mode, 1 vs many campaign play, one full campaign on the app (with just the core box), and fan variants to play the main scenario solo/coop.
BUT, all that being said. JIME was designed for solo/coop, while Imperial Assault's coop play was clearly grafted on, and resolving enemy turns and all of that can feel clunky at best.
So it depends what you are interested in. If you want PURELY solo/coop play, I'd go for JIME for the cleaner experience. If you think you might play 1 vs many or skirmish as well as solo/coop, it's hard to beat IA's value.
      Hope that helps!

Thank you for this video. I am new to this game and love it, but have only used the app for the Flight of the Freedom Fighter campaign mode so far. This makes me want to try Raid Mode now! Subscribed!

Glad to have you here Dennis! I think I slightly prefer campaign play, but raid mode is an awesome additional option. Hope the video helps you.

I had no idea raid mode even existed. It's nice for some variety, although I tend to stick to the campaign modes.
I believe no die can be rerolled more than once. At least in 1 vs many. I discovered that after accidentally cheating as the imperial player and rerolling the same die four times.

I KIND OF figured that was the case, but had to pump up that score!!! ;)

Great playthrough Mike. I never even knew a Raid mode existed, so that was exciting.
Did you ever feel challenged by this (could it ever be 'tense')? It looks like you were never at risk of being defeated. How did it feel playing it?

    • @OneStopCoopShop
      @OneStopCoopShop  4 года назад +1

Like I said at the end of the play, I sort of felt bad using the bodyguard because he is kind of like “easy mode” with his brute strength making the terminals kinda trivial.
In other plays, I was definitely challenged, at least to get a good score. Not sure I ever have completely died, but I’ve yanked and gotten bronze.
It’s worth noting how many times I barely finished off an enemy, or used the ability to add 1 damage. If all those extra activations and attacks from enemies had gone off, it could have been a very different game.
      Hope that all helps :)
