I am Brazilian. I was so proud of Brazilian woman volleyball team to have won the gold medal. But I have to recognize US team was the most consistent team of the Olimpics, despite of having been beaten by the Brazilian in the the gold medal match. Love Tom, Hooker, Larson, Akindarewo, Harmoto, Berg, Davis, Hodger, Scott Arruda,Park ... THEY'RE GREAT!!!

As americanas jogam bem em jogo de 1ª fase, mas não suportam jogos decisivos como finais de mundiais e olimpíadas! elas se descontrolam! Aconteceu isso na casa delas nos jogos de Los Angeles 84 perdendo para a China na final olímpica por 3 a 0! E em seguida 2 derrotas consecutivas para o Brasil em Pequim 2008 e Londres 2012!! O Brasil já superou essa tensão, o time brasileiro é muito mais maduro que o americano em jogos decisivos que valem medalha de ouro!!

I had never even touched a ball when I first started watching videos like this. Now I play for my school team. My strongest point is my serve. The other teams literally usually say, "Oh it's Mona's, its Mona's serve, step back get ready". Such an ego boost. My setting and receiving still needs alot of work though. 😭

Imo, Jordan Larson has taken the place of Logan Tom as Larson is also a great all around player like Tom. The missing link in Team USA is a power player like Destinee Hooker to match Zhu Ting, Tijana Boskovic and Paola Egonu. Though, Jordan Thompson is starting to fill in that shoes after her power plays during the preliminary round of Tokyo Olympic Games.
Logan Tom's mom was my 7th grade health teacher in Long Beach, CA. I remember we would spend alot of time in class just talking about Logan and watching videos of her xD

Hooker can have the most spectacular attack, but no one cant beat Sheila. She's the most intelligent opposite. She knows where to put the ball and dont need strength to do this. All the world never will forget what she did with the russians girls in the Womens's Quarterfinals. I bet that American trembled when they saw that game. Brazilian deserved this championship because they were finalists in major disputes the Olympic cycle. Was vice champion at the World when American even reached the podium, unable to beat the Russian feared, something we did later. To them the Grand Prix and the World Championship. To us, the best, the Olympic Games. Brazil, Russia and the United States. Who wants to be a champion you have to hit at least two of these selections.
