My uncle worked for this company (RCA records/club) and this has been a topic for Kiss fans, that Blue tear drop. Well, i just confirmed with my uncle after watching this video, just to know, he says the Blue tear drop was done on purpose so people won't get confused with other club copies that were available at the time. There was always competetion between companies to get buyers to join their club and they would often alter cover artwork so that they knew which was which. So, no mis-print or messed up artwork, totally on purpose. But you know Kiss fans, they will say it's RARE!!!!!!!!! O well, some people know better :0)
I think possibly why the record club issues didn't have the order forms was that typically it was 6 months or more after the release date of the lps, that they became available in the record club magazines. So by that time, the order form stuff would have been out of date, ie: when Rock and Roll Over came out in the clubs, Love Gun was out in the stores with the new order form.
That's definitely a possibility, but I wonder if 77 and later pressings that weren't record clubs had them. I haven't opened a sealed copy of those to know.
I’m going through all your old videos. These sealed copy videos are awesome. Keep ‘em coming! Lots of fun. You have me looking at all my old vinyl to see which ones I still have all the inserts and forms for. I have a few record club versions but none that would have had any inserts (like HTH and DTK).
@@mmurphy3608 that's great! I really appreciate you watching! Any chance I get to snag an original sealed copy for a decent price I will get it and open it! Do your club issues have a printed CRC on the jacket or a CRC sticker?
@ they are the stamp. And I had less than I thought I did. I thought my Peter Criss and a couple others were from record clubs but I guess not. Unless they had some that didn’t have the stamp or sticker?
@ The solo albums had square CRC stickers only. No stamps. RCA club edition solo albums had RCA stickers on the shrink making them extremely hard to find these days.
Yep! Alive, Alive II, R & R Over, Love Gun, Dynasty all had inserts. RCA, Columbia record clubs usually had all the regular inserts but some copies of Love Gun missed the merch sheet and some missed the Bang! section.
If you watch my Unmasked video, it had the poster and no merch form. Again, this is only record club specific. To my knowledge, all pressings from 75-81ish (original Casablanca pressings) came with their intended inserts.
What? If you're a KISS vinyl collector, there has been a pretty big debate for a long time on whether or not record club pressings like RCA and Columbia House came with inserts or not. I'm just trying to shed light on the subject.

@@siplesrecordsah. That might be then. My PC was probably from RCA. I remember getting it last and not wanting to spend much on it. lol
@ smart lol
Great video!! Ahhh i open all my sealed stuff!! Play them records!!!
@@stevekosak8624 thank you! Oh yeah!
You are having the exact opposite luck from me with these clubs. I've opened 3 or 4 CRCs and 2 different RCA titles with no inserts at all
That's so crazy! I haven't opened one without! Bizarre!
Glad i found your channel ✌️ have a good one.and thanks!
Thanks so much and back at ya! 🤘🏻

I have the merch form that came for Unmasked from the actual Kiss army fan club stating New album coming.! RARE STUFF.!
Nice man! I think you are right that they were supposed to have inserts but not the merch sheet. Obviously, they didn't do it for all of them.
Thanks dude! I think employees were taking inserts and that's why some of them didn't have them. That or they just ran out.
Cool video. Sweet find!
Thanks!
New old stock is awesome stuff.
Right!?!
If stored correctly. And if it wasn’t falsely resealed. I have bought a few sealed, opened them and found resealed crap and warped vinyl. Buyer beware
@@nbdysfool3 yup! That's why I don't pay up for sealed.
I love rca pressings!
I do too! I love that they put their stuff on everything. Just a nice way to make it different.
And the sticker has no tear drop
Correct! Totally just a printing error that was either never caught or they didn't care.
I bought that record the week it came out. I just didn’t get it anyway. Why talk about this lol. Haha
