Just a few shower thoughts: -2600+ players is by no means a small number, but we can't forget that because this event is practically invite/qualified only, using it as a metric to combat the 'YuGiOh Is Dying' narrative doesn't really work because the vast majority of players are already deep in the weeds of competitive YuGiOh anyway. This isn't really the place where a lot of new blood starts entering the game; sometimes you get new players who qualify very early in their careers, but I feel like that's not very common. -Even though the format looks a little more diverse than people were expecting, I do think a lot of that has to do with the fact that INFO literally just came out. If more players had more time to just get their hands on the Fiendsmith engine or more time to test it(especially with the new TCG-exclusive pieces), I definitely think we would have seen even more of it, and that would have made top cut look worse than it does. I'm gonna make a prediction and say that the EUWCQs this coming weekend are going to look more lopsided now that there's been just a little more time for the Fiendsmith cards to circulate.
I didnt really like the layout in the stream. The field could be bigger and do we really need two card highlight spots? One is enough imo.
