Facts? That Canelo took PEDs in the 1st fight is not a FACT, it's a speculation, and a very inflammatory and irresponsible one to make to the media! The weight difference between the 1st and the 2nd fight is not really THAT significant (they'll be fighting in the same weight class, to begin with) and can be perfectly explained without PEDs, simply as a result of a different training and dietary plan. PLUS, it makes strategic sense that Canelo is a bit lighter now. As was said in the interview, maybe in the 1st fight Canelo's team thought being bigger would help him to deal with GGG's power. He DID, but he also was a bit slower and got very tired in the middle rounds. So maybe now they thought that being a bit thinner could help him having better stamina and speed throughout the fight. BTW, I like Teddy, I think he's speaking his honest opinions, but I think you have to be careful regarding that kind of statements. Boxing's image is bad enough and it doesn't help to make that kind of statements without any evidence.

Canelo won the first fight, he boxed better and landed the better shots, you would have to expect him to win again but maybe by stoppage. Less muscle may give him more stamina and speed, bulk isn't a great thing in boxing it slows you, saps you and makes your opponents punched heavier.
I think canelo just worked on his cardio, stamina, got slimmer to be able to counter, avoid getting punch more, move faster, to have more stamina in the later rounds, but he is not going to do any harm to ggg in this fight, nothing that can stop ggg anyways. when i was little, i wanted to be trained by teddy so bad haha. mainly because he came from Cus, someone i think who was not just a great teacher and trainer, but a great human being .. his teaching of how boxing is so much more a mental thing then anything else is something i really took in growing up. watching all the films of him speaking on great fighters i actually feel i learnt so much.. thats why i enjoy listening to teddy, hes one of the only people who looks at fighters and tries to understand them from a mental and spiritual point of view, how they would be feeling and what kind of character they have.. that side of fighting is so much more important then what you see in physical form. and i think most people(not all) forget that.. anyway great interview, though i thought canelo won the first fight and think he will loose the rematch haha.. i just hope for a great fight this weekend

Facts? That Canelo took PEDs in the 1st fight is not a FACT, it's a speculation, and a very inflammatory and irresponsible one to make to the media! The weight difference between the 1st and the 2nd fight is not really THAT significant (they'll be fighting in the same weight class, to begin with) and can be perfectly explained without PEDs, simply as a result of a different training and dietary plan. PLUS, it makes strategic sense that Canelo is a bit lighter now. As was said in the interview, maybe in the 1st fight Canelo's team thought being bigger would help him to deal with GGG's power. He DID, but he also was a bit slower and got very tired in the middle rounds. So maybe now they thought that being a bit thinner could help him having better stamina and speed throughout the fight.
BTW, I like Teddy, I think he's speaking his honest opinions, but I think you have to be careful regarding that kind of statements. Boxing's image is bad enough and it doesn't help to make that kind of statements without any evidence.

It's either going to be a draw or a win for Canelo. I don't know if Canelo's strategy of throwing more combos at golovkin will work. But if he can score those points and avoid counters quickly, that's good. But if he gets caught, he might not get KO'ed, but it will even out the fight.
I don't think a mayweather in his prime could even beat Canelo now. He's at his best. But if the tainted meat he was on was indeed helping him, that will be a major issue. Golovkin will power through him and it will be like the last fight.

That ending by Teddy was deep! I honestly think a slimmer Canelo will be more explosive and mobile. His most glaring weakness is his slow/heavy feet imo. He has fast upper body movement, but his slow feet translates to slow punches. I think Canelo will find the defensive holes in GGG more frequently this time around.

No its still speculation, thats why Atlas say's "maybe" because it's documented that the meat "could" have caused him to test positive for the amounts found. Canelo won the first fight, he boxed better and landed the better shots, you would have to expect him to win again but maybe by stoppage. Less muscle may give him more stamina and speed, bulk isn't a great thing in boxing it slows you, saps you and makes your opponents punched heavier.
I think canelo just worked on his cardio, stamina, got slimmer to be able to counter, avoid getting punch more, move faster, to have more stamina in the later rounds, but he is not going to do any harm to ggg in this fight, nothing that can stop ggg anyways. He will win based on rounds, running around a lot, that's why he looks slimmer now. Trust me, you'll see

when i was little, i wanted to be trained by teddy so bad haha. mainly because he came from Cus, someone i think who was not just a great teacher and trainer, but a great human being .. his teaching of how boxing is so much more a mental thing then anything else is something i really took in growing up. watching all the films of him speaking on great fighters i actually feel i learnt so much.. thats why i enjoy listening to teddy, hes one of the only people who looks at fighters and tries to understand them from a mental and spiritual point of view, how they would be feeling and what kind of character they have.. that side of fighting is so much more important then what you see in physical form. and i think most people(not all) forget that.. anyway great interview, though i thought canelo won the first fight and think he will loose the rematch haha.. i just hope for a great fight this weekend
