He passionately writes on his blog, Tradeview.my to educate retail investors on investing and to avoid fake gurus. He also mentions that retail investor participation is at all all time high in 2020. However, he makes the most wealth during the bear market and says dividend yields, earnings and cash flow are time tested theorem that generate wealth and not short term goals.

I've been listening to Hann's
podcast on your show ,twice over n would like to add that when I first got into the stock market, I bought Public Bank in 1980 n kept adding on to it.. just as Hann did for QL .Public bank gave rights n bonus issues n finally I sold it all in 1985 .It paid for a substantial sum for our house...Benefit of long term investment n hardly any diversification.
I'd like to convey my heartfelt thanks ..through your channel.. to Dr. Neoh Soon Kean ,who gave a talk at the Teacher's Co-op in Penang, at King's Street. He'll never know the impact his talks n his writings will have on his audience but the lives he has touched will not be forgotten.So Hann's book n his writings n talks will definitely impact the lives of others. And so do your talks.

I had so much joy listening to this podcast at 2am because it brought back memories. I came to realise Mr Ng is the older brother of a dear friend who in our university days always spoke in awe and adoration of his bright and accomplished older brother. This podcast confirmed that, and the brilliance definitely runs in the family. I lol-ed at 'Im a non believer of Crypto" because that's probably what my friend would have said if I tried talking crypto to him. Anyway, great content as always FIRL, keep it up!

One of the best FIRL podcasts, i really enjoyed listening to such high quality chat from u guys. Definitely gonna go thru more of FIRL podcasts and buy Tradeview's book. Also, if possible please consider interviewing some good Taiwanese companies mentioned, such as fpi or uchitec. Thanks and keep up the good work!
Mr. Ng is undoubtedly a bright, young man in the world of stock investments and has been getting very popular recently. Although he does not claim to be a Guru (he is a very humble person too), he needs to be very careful not to get carried away with being overly exposed and concentrated in one particular sector like glove companies, which he has been pretty vocal in his public channel that they are very undervalued currently. He was a little too late to invest into a handful of glove companies together with his members in both Bursa and SGX, and unfortunately they have continued to do cost averaging from the highs to the current lows. Too bad he did not realize that the 'smart money" was actually "dumping" the high valued prices to the retailers. Perhaps with this experience, he would be more careful with his buy calls for his members in the future. In the stock market, 1+1 does not always equal 2.
I just bought the book yesterday and finished reading. Am going through it the 2nd time. So straight forward and well written. Perhaps your legal training helps

I see macro economics such as the fed rate hike, Ukraine war and china supply chain disruption as the source of cyclicism in sectors. Hence it impacts the 'timing' of entry.
