Great job Gerry, can't beat the few upgrades to increase a bit of comfort on your machines. Looking forward to seeing the lights being done. Well ware 👍
After watching the last couple videos on the JD telehandler, I think you have to be one of the few that actually like them. I watched a few videos on farmers talking about old equipment they had and the JD seems to be the telehandler they had the most problems with
You probably should do bit more research on these handlers. Anyone who has them knows how good a machine they are and how well they perform. This one we’ve owned from 6 months old and has 8500 hours on it. Issues were a seal in a ram leaked, had to replace a perished seal in the transmission last year and a blower fan stopped working. Other then replacing the odd perished hose or servicing /tyres. That’s it in 15 years of use. It will out perform telehandlers 10 years newer. Engine bullet proof. Turner transmission in them gives no trouble, it’s also lot bigger then what’s used in other telehandler. Hence why they pull so well. There’s a reason good ones is making 45-50k and them 16 years old.
@@gerry6420 didn't release the age of yours, many of the videos I had been watching they talked about the first generation versions in the 90s i guess by the time yours was made they had ironed out the hydraulic control problems
Good video Gerry 👍 u made a comment about bein able to handle spanners, the way tractors are goin not be long before the ordinary guy won't be allowed to put a spanner near them 🙄😟👍
You will have a bit of comfort now Gerry. Hard to beat the air seats. We’ll worth doing it. Just wondering how you got the electrics of it working. Did you have to bring a new power supply from the fuse box? I tackle a good few jobs around my own yokes, but get nervous when it comes to the electrics.
there is a yellow and green line that rotates when you sit on the seat when you sit on it it must be in the beginning or in green this is how it should be set
Not really.😂 Be as dusty again in a week. Usually give the machine good clean down when cattle feeding inside ends. Everything is rubber or plastic other then the seat cushions so easily cleaned

Your thinking of the old 4500 machine. They weren’t the best. They were late 1990s machines. This machine in 2006. 2 generations later.
What whas the last year that they make them? And it's not a 100% jd machine some other brand partnerd whit them
Very informeted video of putting in a air seat great job 2

I thought you were going to re-skin the seat with that lovely leopard print fabric.
That’s all I’d need 😂
@@gerry6420 C'mon Gerry, you know it would make you look fabulous...
Where ya tempted to clean the seat when had it out? I know a working machine but you keep em well

I reckon about time L did some work around the farm get her to clean it 🤭
Good man yourself Gerry, you are dead right to make a bit of comfort for yourself. And it keeps the machine up to date also. When does calving start?.
