It's been dry in my part of Wales for 2 half weeks. It's the dryest spell we have had all year. Farmers were taking slurry out in the rain getting run off and making a mess to beat the slurry ban, and since the ban has come in its been non stop dry weather. 🤣😂
Good update as always Gerry 👍 dont know if its imagination but always think cattles coats look less damp after clipping their backs 🤔 cant remember if you do tails as well we did 👍 is your ration designed so that the cattle always empty their troughs or had the feeding not been done when you were filming this , coincidentally we actually got a glimpse of sun today 🏴🌞🌞 not had much rain but so bloody damp every day 😬
It depends on numbers your feeding. If your not finishing big amount it’s easier to buy in a ration. But if you have any numbers and have a diet feeder your better buy in the straight ingredients. Works out bit cheaper. We feed barley, wheat, ground maize straw, silage and a root crop usually but this year we’re moving on to maize silage as replacement for root crop and grass silage. So will see how that goes

Who ever invented speed bumps has never drove a tractor.
Does it pay to be fatening culled cows?
If ye can get them at the right money
Have ye dropped the other shed with the narrow feed passage?
What do you footbath your cattle with gerry
Hi Gerry. Some price of cattle currently to buy in, What type of mixture to you give them. Would you suggest a nut form ration or your own mix

@gerry6420 Thanks Gerry. Hopefully that will give you good results. Cattle are serious prices currently, might be hard to make decent profits
What do you footbath them with Gerry?
Yes the pvc panel. More obvious just as you tip it. 👻🤣
