      Like it or not, we need wild dogs. They took over the role of the thylacine 4000 years ago and if they go now there is nothing else to do the job

    Hey Kyle. Good footage n huntn, why did the dog come down to you? were you using a pred caller? the dogs in the hunter valley come to me when I make a sqauking noise out the side of my mouth which sounds much like a distressed hare, even under spotlight, but the dogs up the lower barringtons wont, up there they only come to the howl n it appears only at mateing time. happy huntn. Lawrie.

    Well done! Good shot! Feral dogs are causing havoc in biodiversity & livestock, not only in Australia but in America, Asia, Africa...all over the globe. Thanks for sharing and keep it up with the control of invasive species!

      Wasn't a feral dog, was an Alpine Dingo. This is why we have such a horrific fox and feral cat problem because of misidentification and believing any coloured dingo is a feral. Brindle is a common colour for pure Dingoes. There are no feral dogs in Australia, proven fact.

    I totally understand the need to exterminate these dogs because of the issues in Australia with them, but come on, man. A bow? That's sadistic and seems more like someone who enjoys their suffering. Just use a rifle and make it quick. Why the need for them to suffer like that. Pretty sick.

      "camera conveniently goes flat after the shot". In order to hide the length of time it takes for the animal to die, and the messy shot placement.

    Just to show bow hunting you will let a predator dog go to kill more sheep. Long range bullets are more sensible in elimination predators

    • @johnmead8437
      @johnmead8437 Год назад

      The quantity of pests not shot due to long range shooting attemptors shows what is actually sensible: standard calibres. There are some specific rare situations a very competent long range specialist has its place. As does bow hunting for recreational hunting. Not all hunt to control predators, in fact very few hunters contribute much positive at all. Most simply scare most making them more difficult to get rid of enough to matter, and try to claim they are contributing.

    You know what else is invasive and feral 'unknown to Australia prior to un-wanted un-welcomed envision. Thats right 'settlers" who brought the feral pigs feral dogs and rats with them on boats damaging the ecosystem so wouldn't you assume your feral too and should leave? But like anything feral you feel entitled.

    • @scurvy786
      @scurvy786 8 лет назад +7

      +David Worsley They are not pets, these ones are wild feral animals that prey on farmers live stock and can kill many sheep in one attack. So its not disgusting or cruel its something that has to be done.

    • @davidworsley7969
      @davidworsley7969 8 лет назад +3

      Lloyd Webster You missed out selfish.
      I have no problem with eradicating vermin.
      What I do have a problem with is inefficient,cruel methods of killing where the ends are used to justify the means.
      Bow hunting is exactly that.

    • @okm88
      @okm88 8 лет назад +2

      +David Worsley If done incorrectly like this individual has done, then yes.
      If you want to see what cruel methods on which our government actively uses while excessively prohibiting the use of firearms and bows etc, then go have a sook about 1080...
