All the electronics that these engines rely on will be kaflooie before the engines actually die of metallic failure, and no replacement magic boxes will be available, because the newer cars will have even more "advanced" magic in 'em. Variable valve timing based on some non-obtainable electric ouija board? Uh-huh.

Those bandaids ain’t for cuts and such they are nipple covers and for covering the holes on a stop sign you shot ! I told a guy from Oklahoma that the stop signs with white borders are optional stopping ! Dang if he didn’t get a ticket for blowing threw and he told the cop what I told him and I guess the cop laughed his ass off !

@@PuddinsFabShop my friend from Missouri never went ice fishing so I took him and brought a chain saw , drilled 2 holes about 50 apart and cut a line to connect them , he ask why and I said that’s how we troll in the winter , just drop a line in a hole and run like hell to the other one , well he did it a couple of times then notice everyone laughing and boy was he pissed ! I was trying to figure our how the mice or pack rats got up in there by the flywheel. Then it hit me, clutch fork. That chevy's frame looks to be in good shape. How many miles are on it now?

On another point that old International with the front quarter panel looks like it might be a decent save. Looks fairly solid. I'd repair it and keep the paint patina like that it looks wild.
And did noone notice that old truck next to the impala. She would have been a nice piece in her day. .

And is that a very lovely old Jeep your driving. They were a good car in that era. My grandpa had one. It was a beast. First car I drove. Poor thing eventually had to many issues to save it. Became a garden ornament. .

I heard all I needed to hear when you got that 283 spinning fast enough. That rod knock is fatal. I was surprised that you didn't see the rats nest inside the bell housing and clean it out.

Plus paint Navy Misty Blue with Black Trim , also Baby Blue interior with Black Trim & also True Cedar Woodgrain also my home brew motor V6 252 CC with 320 hp , Torque 310 plus 506 M6 6 speed Automatic transmission with Shift Kit also Car is 4 door but lots fun since 2010 have road plus drive it! But computer stuff for 3.1 to 4 3 litre V6 motors too plus full frame home made Tanitimn to also if saw my car say holy moly and plus rode say that wild run my buddy !

Find you some KOIL PENETRATING OIL, and by a gallon of it. Dosen't take much but koil breaks engines lose better than anything I've used. Not cheap but dang worth its weight in gold.

My cousin got a like new 62 Biscayne 2 door with the 283 power-glide in the early 70s. my uncle was the head sales guy at Steakley bros Chevy so he got us plenty ofclassic low mileage cars back then but the biscayne felt new. l think it had less than 20k on the odometer. You couldnt hear it running. Stand a nickle up on the radiator cap. best car l ever drove. Best engineered.

I know that car hasn't been sitting with the hood off but I like to pull the oil plug for a second to make sure there's not any water underneath that oil you don't want to start it up and pump water into your motor, a lot of people like to talk shit about Rochester quadrajets until you inform them that every Edelbrock carburetor ever sold was made by Rochester., I'm probably full of shit, but I remember that two barrel was made by Carter, that's a nice car though what's even nicer is that SS the guys got , get yourself a tetanus shot and get busy.

I think what that piece of pipe was welded on the drive axle for PTO. I new some old timers that would jack up cars and do some crazy stuff like shell walnuts between the ground and running tire.
Maybe this old timer tried to use the clutch lol

40 years ago a friend at work had a 64 impala with a automatic transmission and a dead battery. He said give a push please. I said that’s got a automatic it ain’t gonna work. He said just push it. This is the only automatic you can push start.
It worked.
I push started my automatic LS swapped Travelall not long ago 😂
