I have a 1.9 astra when i hit the sports button there is pressure build up and the coolant comes out of the header tank. If i don't use the sports button i can use the car for months with out filling anything up

Hello mate, that’s strange. Have you done a compression test and any other test on the engine to make sure there’s no major issues mate

Would the problem be that you have only got the 1 fan on the radiator and not the 2nd original fan that was on the ac rad working. When i removed my ac rad and installed a fmic i reattached the second fan to the front of the coolant rad and both fans run together and temps always stay below 100c even in 30+c

Yeah mate, he’s not had the car long when he got the car it had no brakes the rear springs were snapped. We discovered at that time that the Aircon rad and fan was missing as well lol he’s in the process of buying two twin 12” fans and we’re gonna be fitting them next week and yes you are right about the 2nd fan but the 2nd fan for the Aircon will only work with the Aircon working it’s only one fan that keeps the main radiator cool and that one fan has got two speeds that’s how I see it I could be wrong but have you got both your fans running off of one input?

I don't think so mate. When I fitted a fmic I read the same thing as your saying that the front fan is for the ac so I left it off but then I had the same problem your having with the fan turning on to late, so I added it back to the front of the radiator and plugged it back in to the original wiring and now they both work together at about 96*c untill it drops to 90 then turns off and so on and I have removed the ac so it never switched on
