I can tell you right now, this show was the hardest thing ve had to do. As a center marimba, my tasks were much more than they were in a traditional setup. Listening environment was crazy. Having to ignore the drum line and stay with my own personal time was also something that I had to develop which is opposite of what my job as a center was, again in a more traditional set up.
Chino hills 2019 is about a man who overcomes addiction and it is spooky looking, Veritas 2019 has a show called Monster, Clovis high school had a spooky show for 2019 also And I couldnt find a video of their show, but a high school I went up against right before covid hit the US had an asylum themed show and all the students throughout the entire day NEVER broke character, they had straight jackets and walked around all "crazed" and would stare at people, never talk and just walk past them and even bumping into a few, it was honestly scary how they never broke character.
It breaks down into 3 pieces I think. I saw them in person at WGI Finals. When they were coming down u can see a bit if the plane poking through the curtain a bit 😂
Another cool show those uniforms remind me of is Azle 2020. It’s a high school and the run isn’t the best because it was in February before the season got cut short due to covid, but at the time they were like top 3 high schools. It’s a really cool show about the spartan and Persian armies.
OMG! I am watching the ORIGINAL Twilight Zone: “Nightmare at 20,000 Feet" and the actor is WILLIAM SHATNER!!!! Originally Aired on Oct 11, 1963! I was 11 years old when this first aired ... So, Yes, I am a Boomer!!! 👵 And the "gremlin" looks like he's wearing a Manny McMann wig! 😂😂🤣🤣🤣
When our group was coming home after that regional, someone on the bus just said out of nowhere, “there’s something on the wing” and then 30 seconds later, everyone is screaming out the window, “THERE’S SOMETHING ON THE WING!”
You definitely need to check out Nightmare at 20,000 feet Twilight Zone episode!! It features William Shanter, which of course, plays Captain Kirt in Star Trek !!
Good morning! Another spooky show you could react to is Music City Mystique 2018: Disciples. So spooky that the design gave me chills the first time saw it live!
Music city Mystique 2018!! It was considered demonic, which might've been a reason why it scored kinda not as well, but honestly very cool and nice show!! One of my favorites shows off McM
If you didn't notice the Guy on the plane was none other than captain kirk/william shatner. He did alot of things like twilight zone snd Alfred hitchcock before starting his 5 year mission. Font think of them as boomer fodder. There are some truly thought provoking and sometimes genuinely horrifying presentations. Lots of stars before they were famous.
Mr. Eric you should check out sparkman percussion 2019, it's not super spooky (only a little) but it did really well and got first place at Dayton open class that year
@Nick does Quad drumming we have one tenor 3 snares 5 bass drums and 3 cymbals. I just want a good drum tobias and or audition with at the end of the year. But I'm better off than you so if I was to get it I would give it to you.
If only they could have made the fron... err... side ensemble instruments look like they were in greyscale as well. You really should watch that episode of the Twilight Zone. William Shatner is the guy seeing the gremlin on the wing
When I marched in Japan, my high school (supposed to) had an annual concert (which was cancelled due to covid19) and the stage was freaking small, so the front ensemble (my section) was ordered to have an identical placement to this show. We weren't allowed to listen to the opposite side and need to trust our own tempo, kinda like battery. Timing was really difficult, as we need to change the way we feel the tempo...
If you keep doing show reviews, you should do a review of George Mason Universitys 2019 show fringe, its a really good show with an amazing concept and i think you would really enjoy it
what are these indoor percussion groups? are they HS community? whos in them? im just thinking back to how average my HS drumline was, we didnt have the staff let alone the talent to feild one of these. of the 13 or 14 people that was in the drumline only 3 had front XP, how are people doing this?
Not a prop, it’s a REAL plane. There’s a video somewhere of the staff explaining their process.
Nah it was definitely a real plane, it was HEAVY
@Nick does Quad drumming I saw the show live, twas’ a real plane...
one of the alumni was a jet broker so he got one from a scrap yard for them to use
The engine is a prop tho cus there is no jet engine that small on an airliner like that
It was an actual plane fuselage that Stryke bought and took the right wing off!
I love how the very first note of the show is a hi-mom shot lol
I saw this show live at the Hattiesburg Power Regional and the energy in the audience was intense
Bro same! I competed in that Regional too.
What school were you with? I was there too
@@EmmanuelRobinson I was with Pace HS
Same. Everyone was going crazy over this show
@@JacobS0527 cool I was there as well with sparkman high, what instrument do you play
Can I just point out how all the actors were painted grey so they looked like they were on screen in the black and white episode.
Wow that's cool

Music City Mystique 2017- Hand Of Man. Another creepy and eerie show...
Also MCM 2018 Disciples
mcm really had two spooky shows back to back like that
This needs to be his final spocktober video.
Chino hills 2019 is about a man who overcomes addiction and it is spooky looking, Veritas 2019 has a show called Monster, Clovis high school had a spooky show for 2019 also

I remember watching this when my school became an open classed group. Shit was insane.
My question is how in the world did they fit that plane prop in when we could barely fit the drumset stand into most of the gyms😂
Good question...
Probably breaks down into a bunch of pieces but still I doubt it’d fit in gyms lol
Also in Dayton (where WGI championships are) they use a huge steep ramp that the groups go down
It breaks down into 3 pieces I think. I saw them in person at WGI Finals. When they were coming down u can see a bit if the plane poking through the curtain a bit 😂
@STRYKE Yea I can imagine, must have been fun to bring that up the ramp lol
@@npaul601 Also yea, I was there too, it was just so long ago lol
Man who ever designed this show is so creative-so many elements at play-WOW

No Tick November reaction idea: Check out Aimachi’s 2013 show “Ninja: Shadow Warrior.” It’s got GE through the roof and the book is pretty awesome.
A Park Vista almunus and friend of mine Zach Martins was with Stryke that year! It was awesome!
Wow what a prop. Someone dropped a cymbal. Eek that was scary.
Twas’ an actual plane
seeing that plane in the tunnel was so surreal, i played in independent open that season and got to hang around after our finals, lot was crazy too
For our high school show last year, "up and away", we had very similar base heads. I wouldn't actually be surprised if it's the same design.
it's like, 1:30 in the morning here right now, and it's the first "good morning" of the day... thanks, that made my day!
Good morning!
Another spooky show you could react to is Music City Mystique 2018: Disciples. So spooky that the design gave me chills the first time saw it live!
GOOD MORNING intensifies
McM 1998, 2017, and 2018 are all quite spooky
I saw this live at WGI finals and it honestly was and still is my favorite show.
That gave me chills.. from both the creep and awe factors
That was an amazing production to put together. Impeccable timing!
Music city Mystique 2018!! It was considered demonic, which might've been a reason why it scored kinda not as well, but honestly very cool and nice show!! One of my favorites shows off McM
This was great! Coming from a fellow percussionist who also seen the original twilight zone episode numerous times growing up.

I saw this show in Dayton my first year going to WGI champs, it was amazing to watch in person
Infinity 2018 dreamscapes was a pretty creepy show.
I'm looking for a personal marching band drum. Which kind do you prefer?
Mr. Eric you should check out sparkman percussion 2019, it's not super spooky (only a little) but it did really well and got first place at Dayton open class that year
Just watched that episode where Kirk and Spock hijack a society based on 40's NYC mafia... Iconic
It’s spooky time
Stryke's current center marimba is the pit tech for my school. This year is his third age out because of the pandemic.
I have watched every Twilight Zone episode
Same
Hey, me again. My school needs a tenor
@Nick does Quad drumming No joke. We are really poor.
@Nick does Quad drumming we have one tenor 3 snares 5 bass drums and 3 cymbals. I just want a good drum tobias and or audition with at the end of the year. But I'm better off than you so if I was to get it I would give it to you.
@Nick does Quad drumming Ah Thanks man.
@Nick does Quad drumming kk
You absolutely have to watch Music City Mystique 2017, it’s one of the best and spookiest shows from the past few years
CRHS marching Pioneers, you guessed it - RULE!
Bruhhh! Twilight Zone isn't a boomer show! It's freakin timeless!
Lol I like how he didnt even notice that the cymbal fell off the plane
It’s funny because we all play quads. It’s a joke...... and it’s funny.😉
If you get the chance, I'd advise Centerville Winter Drumline's 2018 show "The Last Sunrise".
I loved this show!
My cymbal tech was part of this show and he taught us the visual they did on the plane
Hey can you do a review on the ahead tenor pad.
You should 100% do more indoor show reactions I love you take on them
You should watch veritas 2020!! was an amazing show
The front ensemble used in ear monitors to stay in time.
I saw this show at Semis, and this plus rhythm x were my two favorites.
Yessss strykeeee
I saw this exact show live right in the middle on the second row
imagine pushing that giant fucking plane up the dayton hill lol
You should watch Matrix 2018! If you thought the front in strike was doing some crazy stuff.....oh your in for a treat !👌
my bass tech marched this show lmao
GOOD MORNING. God stryke 18 is such a good show. For your next one is definitely suggest Equinox 2018
For sure the greatest use of rack players I’ve ever seen, very visually affecting, though not necessarily the cleanest show around
@@captainkiwi77 You sure you're not thinking of Evolution 2010?
If only they could have made the fron... err... side ensemble instruments look like they were in greyscale as well. You really should watch that episode of the Twilight Zone. William Shatner is the guy seeing the gremlin on the wing
Fun fact my high school drumline bought some of the drums used in this show
And they don’t work anymore
This is a really good choice!! It was always great watching them live!!!
I wonder if you could employ tech, like SoundBrenner Core, so no matter the distance they are all feeling the same tempo ?
watch the 6:18 snare feature and look at the BYOS alphabet ;)
The best Easter egg 😉

It’s a legit plane too. Just gutted completely so it’s just the frame
My percussion tech was 4th bass in this show
I loved infinity and rythem x 2019, I know you've seen infinity live but it be a cool video
Ahhh I saw this show live in Dayton Finals! Holy cow!
Same here!!! only year we got to go to dayton (budget, not skill) and it was so cool
GOOD MORNING!
If you keep doing show reviews, you should do a review of George Mason Universitys 2019 show fringe, its a really good show with an amazing concept and i think you would really enjoy it
Daily uploads 👌
6:23 tick... buddy dropped sum
You could try Blue Devils ‘95 - Carpe Noctem.
I WAS THERE FOR THAT SHOW!!! IT WAS AWESOME!!!!!!!
5:01 near vibes/plane collision.
Ooohhhh "spocky"
Loved playing in this show!!!
we seen the stick drop 👀 but good recovery tho 😂

React to Petal High School 2018 “Pandora.” There is a vic firth marching video of the show.
You should do, Pulse Percussion 2017
I love this series so much!
SOMEONE DROPED A SYMBOL
To someone who has seen the episode, this is epic!
Play all of your musical instermint for the next video
React to the Cutting Edge Haunted House Drumline!
I read it wrong, I thought they were playing 30,000 feet above the air
Nice
Gg.
First comment. Good work.

Good Aftermorning!!!!!
I’m 15 and I love the twilight zone tho xD

watching 1 year later
This show was cool as fuck live. I also got watch their lots after we performed in my group. One of my favorite shows of the florida groups
Stryke 2019 next

Stryke is an independent group, so probably mostly college-age, but yeah it's ridiculous how good some of the HS groups are.
