Starlink Initial Speed Test (Philippines)

  • Magandang araw sa inyong lahat! Sa video na ito, susubukan natin mag-test ng initial speed ng Starlink dito sa Pilipinas.
    Para sa mga hindi pa nakakaalam, ang Starlink ay isang proyekto ng SpaceX na nagbibigay ng internet access sa buong mundo gamit ang satellite technology. Ngayon, available na rin ito dito sa Pilipinas!
    Gusto ko lang ipaalam na ginamit natin ang portability feature ng residential subscription ko para sa pag-test na ito. Hindi natin ito gagawin sa actual na service address ko, kaya hindi ito ang actual na speed test ng Starlink sa lugar kung saan ako nakatira.
    Ang pag-test na ito ay gagawin natin sa isang rural na lugar dito sa bansa. Isa itong lugar na hindi gaanong malapit sa mga major cities at kadalasang mahina ang internet connection dito.
    Gagamit tayo ng speed test tool para malaman kung gaano kabilis ang internet connection ng Starlink dito sa lugar na ito. Isa rin itong pagkakataon para malaman natin kung gaano ka-reliable at stable ang internet connection ng Starlink sa Pilipinas.
    Kaya tara na at samahan ninyo ako sa pag-test ng initial speed ng Starlink dito sa Pilipinas!

    Hopefully the Philippine government can implement the technology on location with no or very limited Internet connectivity such as far flung schools and government sites, island communities, etc.

    Hello brod, ask ko lang kung anung maganda at malakas para sa isla taga quezon province ako walang kuryente sa lugar yung iba solar gamit nila, wala ako idea kung anung babagay sa isla ng polillo quezon, wala ako idea kung anung maganda na ang ggamitin ay solar, watching from Toronto

      Ang power rating po ng starlink is 50-75 watts on average. 100W solar panel, batteries and maganda po na inverter eh tingin ko po solve na po yun. Will try to create a content regarding this.

      As of now credit card (maybe debit card too) p lng ata ang known payment method
      For residential kit: 30k~ php then 2,700 php monthly subscription. If plan mo gamitin sa ibang location other than your service area then you have to enable portability by paying 600 php on top of your monthly subscription. Yung portability is pwede i-enable or disable in a monthly basis.

      Residential subscription po eh magagamit nyo lang sa service area kung saan nyo po sya niregister.
      Regional Roam naman po eh magagamit nyo kahit saan po sa Pilipinas except po pag nasa body of water po kayo.

      As far as I know may 2 types ng roam. Regional roam and Global Roaming. Yung regional roam kahit saan sa pinas pwede gamitin pero subject to priority basis (for example, congested ng residential subscription yung area, priority sila and deprioritize ka). Global roam naman kahit saang bansa pero hindi pwede sa dagat. Both actually hindi pwede sa dagat. Iba yung subscription model nila for sea.

      Yes 30k po yung unit and yung residential monthly subscription is 2700 PHP. 3300 PHP naman po yung regional roaming na you can use anywhere in the Philippines except on sea.

      Nag order ako ng starlink 2 years ago nung inopen nila global reservation. Nung nag live sa PH mga 4 weeks ago pina confirm nila yung order sa starlink website to proceed with delivery, then after 2 weeks na receive ko yung starlink kit. Free delivery naman.

      By adding portability subscription. But I think they have updated their plan and business model and removed portability. Instead, you can change your subscription from residential to regional roam.

      With my experience po sa unlimited fiber plan ko nasa around 500GB po yung average monthly data use ko. If normal use po I think you can work around it po. Of course hindi naman po ito competitor ng fiber optic plans. If meron po kayo option to use fiber option ISP yun po ang kuhain nyo.
