The NBA stole much of Coach K's talent long before it could mature, many times after only 1 season. Despite that he still became the winningest coach in history, a record that will likely stand for decades to come. Coach K is the GOAT 🐐

Wooden only having a compete against 16 other teams in a tiny bracket over the course of a weekend, whereas Mike having to take on a bracket of 64 teams in a tournament that goes on for weeks. It's certainly much harder to win it all with that many variables.
Basketball has evolved somewhat since 1948. I'm not saying Wooden wasn't great, but like it or not, he had it easier back then.

The Coach K haters need to just accept he is the GOAT and don't post "hate" here. This was a great tribute to Duke and his family....his team didn't play like they could have and should have.....but at this writing we now know they stepped it up and had four fabulous games in the tournament, they faced a bigger and older team in UNC and it wasn't in the cards for Coach K to go out with a title, I wished so much for those young men to win one....not just for Coach, but for how wonderful they played after that loss on March 5th. Hats off to Coach K and to his last Blue Devil team!

HATE DUKE!!!! But much respect for Coach K. Nice looking family. I admit, from a rivalry standpoint, I'm going to miss him. Dean Smith, Louie Carnesecca, John Thompson, Denny Crum, John Chaney, Nolan Richardson, Jerry Tarkanian, Roy Williams, Digger Phelps, Al McGuire, Jim Valvano, Coach K.....all the great coaches that made college basketball one of the joys of living for me are leaving or gone. How am I going to hold it together when it's time for Jim Boeheim to leave(40+ years at Syracuse and still counting)?

I am a Duke fan and always will be, but I agree, UNC should be top 10 at least! Depending on recruits and who leaves Duke to go to NBA, they won't be too terribly far behind. It's going to be a great season for sure!
