This showed the importance of Free Throw shooting. UNC made 6 of their last 8 FTs, Duke missed 4 of their last 6 FTs, and UNC won by 4.
Caleb Love has no fear in the big moments. That's a quality trait that not everyone has. He was just 2/9 from deep and when it came time to sink the dagger he didn't hesitate.
Was missing all game, and you're right..no fear or hesitation when he put up that one at the end. What a game!

This was college basketball at its finest. As the game has changed over the years... one thing remains true... this tournament is some type of special, man. To have Duke/UNC in the final four for coach K's final game.. and then to deliver a game like this. This game will live on with legendary status for generations. It is not a recent bias to say that this was/is one of the greatest college basketball games of all time.

So much emotion in that moment... it's easy to say we would all do the right thing, but IMO, until we're in that moment, it's hard to speculate about. Had the roles been reversed & UNC won, I wouldn't have blamed them for walking off while the opposition celebrates either.

This was the biggest game ever in college basketball. The only thing that could've made it better is if Dean Smith was there.
Too bad only Wendell Moore and Coach K shook hands of the players. Shameful the other DUKE players walked away like SORE losers. Disrespecting Coach K Like that.
I believe he was. When Hubert conserved his timeouts and down the stretch he used them to calm down his team and to set up defenses Dean was there. Hubert learned from the best and this victory had Dean, Guthridge and Roy's finger prints all over it. The torch was passed to the right man and keeping it in the family preserves the Carolina Way. Dean would be proud.

Words cannot describe the amount of stress and agony I was experiencing. I was losing my mind. When it got down to 18 seconds and we were up, I was so sure my heart would jump out. I literally said to myself "we're up, I'm not moving from this spot. . .I'm staying here until the final score cause this spot is helping us." When that final score flashed and Carolina won, I was sure my neighbors downstairs would call the cops cause of how loud I was!!!

Armando Bacot is a monster reminds me a lot of Rob Williams lll both undersized centers lacking on shooting who make up for it with amazing defense and athleticism as well as cleaning up on all the boards
Haven’t watch UNC basketball or even college basketball since Marcus Paige was at UNC but decided to watch again this year I’m happy for UNC they have themselves some boys that can play.
Miss those years when Marcus was there. Him and Joel Berry was a crazy duo.

Big shout out to Puff Johnson somehow holding off Banchero on that missed free throw to help seal the game. He's made some significant contributions. Got us a bucket when we desperately needed it when Bacot was out. Pretty much the only help off the bench in this entire run besides Style's 3 against Baylor.

I can’t remember being any happier than after this game. I had just said the same thing after the game in Durham. It’s late summer now and I’m still watching occasionally. It still feels great! Go Heels!

Carolina fan here that LOVED the EPIC win! But wanted to take a moment to recognize Coach K for his incredible career with 5 National titles and 3 straight USA Basketball Olympic Gold medals. I don't think anyone will ever top that. Loved to hate Duke all these years, but admit it won't be the same without Coach K. Thanks for all the memories Coach.

As well as Caleb Love played in the 2nd half, he had some VERY Westbrook like turnovers that Duke capitalized on. He has to clean that up before the Kansas game.

Georgia Tech head basketball coach said that UNC would win it all in January. He said it was one of the best teams in the country. Man was he ever right. Even when everyone as of Friday picked Duke he held to his guns and said UNC would beat Duke an win the national championship. Josh knew something nobody else knew. Go Heels!

They are 19 20 with bodies that are 30 to 40 pounds smaller. Take in the preseason and regular season. 100 games. Compared to 40. One and done guys ? How many pan out? 25 30%. PAT Connington had a 10 million dollar contract to pitch in Mlb. 6 signing bonus. He stayed at Notre Dame to play with Grant. They lost to Kentucky in Elite 8. When they had towns and another 6 11 guy. Connington a 6 4 white guy outrebounded both those guys. Even with their 6 8 center only play 20 minutes cause lame calls. Irish still should have won. Kentucky got theirs when Wisconson beat them in semis to ruin undeafeted season. Notre dame missed 2 front end 1 an 1. Missed 2 of four after in last 5 minutes. Left 6 point off board. List by 1.
