IMO a big school of juvenile white sharks came in off the ocean and worked the coastline while the weather was good to feed that week. Probably a school of atleast 100 fish between 8 and 13 feet long.
I'd guess a south or east wind and a flood tide brought a small pod of those sharks off the beach way up the creek that day.
Commercial netting of the oceans over the next century stopped it from ever happening again. Large schools of sharks were common back then. Not anymore.

Interesting idea! Hopefully in the future, conservation efforts can help restore fish and shark populations. Until then, I'll just keep eating vegetarian and not help contribute to more loss of life through all the bad things commercial fishing brings with it. #savethesharks!

No, we have enough sharks. The overfishing of sharks 100 years ago has saved countless lives.

@@taragreen5952 sharks are some of the most evil animals alive. They care about nothing but their next kill.
Tree hugging shark lovers .. lol
The propaganda sure works. How did they get people to love and protect the animals that want to eat them and their kids. Haha. Crocodiles, alligators, sharks, snakes should be hunted to extinction. There are so many reticulating snakes in Florida there are hardly no mammals in the woods. I'd shoot every single one I encountered.
