      @@bolleke702 orcas eating great whites is very rare. But ur right. The definition of an apex predator is that there is no other animal hunting for them. So in that sense ur right. But saying orcas are actively hunting white sharks is a bit of a stretch. Its like elephants occasionally stomping a lion. That doesnt mean the lion is suddenly not an apex predator anymore.

      It's why I stopped bothering with shark week. They went from legit documentaries that really dove into the reality of sharks to a bunch of people showboating. Yeah researchers and naturalist photographers get pretty nuts when they get good footage and info, much like storm chaser go nuts over tornadoes, but they don't generally play the one-upshipmen game when trying to get those shots or prove theories. They don't purposely make questionable decisions because the camera is rolling. Which is how Shark Week Comes off now.

      Great whites are usually smaller on the surface so orcas easily get them dead with teamwork. It would be harder with a bugger great white which usually stays below, but if even the smaller, or heck, the bigger white sharks work together against orcas, it would be a COMPLETLY different story. Like a caveman who is intelligent.

    • @sparto2132
      @sparto2132 5 лет назад +14

      Okay so even without their main tactic, an Orca alone has pretty much every advantage over a Shark except biteforce. Also Orcas know that sharks are in trouble if they fully stop or are flipped (TI) and use this to there advantage. Also Great white Carcass's have washed up with no real damage apart from there liver removed which is what Orcas mainly eat due to it being a large energy source. Also look at the 1997 Farrallon Island footage somewhere where a lone Orca rams a great white to stun it, flip it and then proceed to hold it's breath while laying ontop of it essentially choking the shark. All in all the Orca is faster and bigger and it's sensors are very sharp and the great white will have a hard time getting at it in the first place. But in the real world said orca will have another 5/10+ orcas swimming with it. They're highly sociable mammals So you expect them to work in pods.

    i want you to take a very close look at the second shark in the background to the right of his suspected "brother" shark between 4:18 - 4:21. I want you to pay special attention to the Pectoral Fins, (Large bottom fins) of the second shark to the right of his brother. Along with everything else on the shark in general. It actually looks as if the shark is actually rendering. As if he was placed there artificially. Right around 4:19 to 4:20 his Pectoral Fin basically glitches and skips over a couple of frames until its completely blocked by its other Pectoral fin. Also his skin changes and glitches on top of his body as well during this time. Just pay very close attention and you may see what i see.
    If not, Well then i shall see myself out...

    You can tell the by the footage, that when that guy says that he touched the belly of the shark that that footage is actually CGI. look at the way the sun reflects off the fish and the eyes, that it’s fake. With the technology we have today, that is completely possible to do that. 2:49 is when you can see it the best.

      Sharks famously don't have feet.
      And if you train one to jump on it's belly, like a seal, I'm confident you'll be tried for treason.

    Why are The Discovery Channel, and Shark Week ALLOWED to be fake? The Megaladon Special, the Michael Phelps HORRIBLE CGI shark. Even the stupid Mermaid thing I think Animal Planet did. Its literally belittling anyone who has actually witnessed something tangible. Either actually hunt for the unknown, or don't. Definitely don't fake "finding" the unknown.

      The megladon episode was like 5 years ago lol they’ve apologized and moved on

      Really? Cuz they just had a new special about it this past shark week and it was literally just actual shark experts and marine biologists watching clips from the Megalodon special and laughing at it. Who cares if they apologized? And clearly they haven't fully moved on.

    Michael Phelps has a recorder swim-speed of 5-6 mph. What sea-live would he >actually< win against?
