Another great video. I have learned a lot from your travels and hope to use this knowledge when I visit Thailand in October/November. From now on I will think of you as Honorable Professor Carter.......Cheers Mate.
Superb as normal Mr Carter, not so many Chinese looking folks in China town. I will visit here next trip but I won't set my expectation bar too high. Looking forward to your next trip and more great stuff from you.
Another tip Geoff that I use in Thailand is a ( for the want of a better description ) a flannel / wash cloth kept in the fridge / freezer dept ... cheap and instantly cool you down ...try you will soon see what I mean .
Great videos geoff, some of the best down to earth informative videos on Thailand, on You Tube ... others just show girls which is great but not really informative lol. Keep the videos coming. Top man thanks
great little tune you did there geoff for china town. "turning japanese" by the vapors. don,t rush back to england just yet, its still cold and pissing it down.
another great vid Geoff, only 1 small request, please don't take so long between them, a week is far to long to keep us wondering when you will next do one :) all jokes aside thanks for showing us another part of the world that we probably wouldn't see otherwise!
Heres a tip many of the 4 start hotels have amazing restaurants for chinese and seafood and not bad price! so check the hotels they have amazin chefs! its not bargain but usually its still a good deal. you wouldnt think that cause normally 4star hotels are so overprices but in thailand they seem not to be
Hope you arrived back safely to Blighty!Next time you go to ChinaTown take the underground(MRT) from Asoke to Hualumpong(final stop) only 60 baht,air-conditioned and no wacky races. And then just walk down Yaowarat Rd. to Chinatown. For an inside restaurant, some one posted earlier,T&K seafood(green shirts) and R&L seafood(red shirts) are top jolly. Both on Soi Texas. As well as a large outside seating area, both have a small inside air-conditioned restaurant which ,if you're on your todd, they'll squeeze you in.Crackin' food and a real Chinatown atmosphere.
Just come back from Thailand last week. I stayed on Sukhumvit Road and also done Pattaya. The heat was an absolute killer for me, I wouldn't go over there again in the hot season. I too like yourself was going into 7/11 to cool down. Don't blame you not paying those rip-off prices at that Chinese restaurant.
blimey Geoff my 2 weeks thai holiday is over already and im back in the uk, good to see your still there making these great vlogs thow,, where you going next?
I like your videos....but in this video, you should have stayed in your country where they have restaurants that you whant! ;) This is Thailand and Bangkok and Chinatown.... do some investigating before next excursion maybe! ;)
Hey geoff thanks for that great video i hope to get to china town when im there in june ,i know i have asked before but does anyone give you any greif when your filming ? i was going to put my go pro on my selfie stick and do similar as i travel around thailand again excelent vidoe and yummy duck.
I never get any grief. You just have to have confidence to film. If someone says no, I just leave that clip out. It's all about just going for it matey.
Hi Geoff, it's Yaowarat Road, NOT Yaorawat (as in your movie title.) The duck you had in the chinese restaurant was not a Peking crispy duck, but a soy braised duck (which does not comes with pancake skin.)
Great vid Geoff you put a smile on my face pal, here mate what's the story with Thai Sim cards someone was saying your old ones don't work or something?
***** well what i do know is, those pre-paid cards in thailand, u can use them for 5 months (those 12Call cards that is) and every time you add Credit it automaticly adds a month to that..
Hankey Camping ok thanks so my sim from Sept last year won't be any use, i heard somewhere that it was gonna be more difficult to get a new Sim card, hopefully not
***** i was there in December > January.. just pop in a 7/11 and get a card.. no problem whatsoever.. but maybe Geoff can tell us if things did change..
***** if you use an old prepaid sim card, you just need to let it activated (registration) in a Mobile shop by Showing your passport. You have to do that before June 15, i believe. After that date you can buy a new one. But you will have new mobile number also then. I made a vid of that also.
Was it stinking from the sewer on every corner and alley as it did when i walked there ? or was it just bad luck on my part.... the resturants u seek are indoor in the big mall. , i dident touch the street food in china town , way to dirty , just the fumes and heat made me almost puke P
GEOFF CARTER Dude LOL , tell me about it , the first trick i learned was to go in to the seven eleven shops and open the fridge doors and cool off , haha , thought it was just me that found out that trick :)
Recommend your video's when asked why I go to Thailand, have you been to the ancient city, same man who built sanctuary of truth, he has saved whole buildings estates, palaces and artifacts it took us 1 hr my husband driving like Hamilton in a golf cart to get round and still did not see everything on the first sweep, a whole day is needed, get the BTS to the end of the line, we went to Erawan Museum first then 100bhat in a taxi to the ancient city built by Led Viriapant, will make good viewing.V
There are plenty of good outside restaurants on Yaorawat. I was disappointed, that you would choose a restaurant serving birds nest and sharks fin. I wouldn't give them the buisness
I know "everyone's a critic", but boy oh boy do a couple of hundred words of Thai help. With a free android app you've got hello, are you well, pleased to meet you, pork, rice, spicy, eggs, straight ahead?, to the left?, to the right?, at the traffic lights?, at the junction?, train/bus/sky-train station.......... I don't know why Etihad and other carriers don't offer it on the in-flight entertainment. Takes no time and it really pleases the locals who (not surprisingly) feel you're making an effort.
Excellent Geoff many thanks.
Thank you David.
As soon as I saw the outside of that Chinese Restaurant I knew it was a pricey joint, looked too classy. Another great vid Guvnor.
Love it! These are the movies that gave me the confidence to get out there and mooch.
Cheers Paul, pleased they helped 🚗🚗💨💨🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🍺

Was it stinking from the sewer on every corner and alley as it did when i walked there ? or was it just bad luck on my part.... the resturants u seek are indoor in the big mall. , i dident touch the street food in china town , way to dirty , just the fumes and heat made me almost puke P
