I feel so lost. This is my first ever ff game & every guide I see has things I've never even encountered in the game yet. I'm at Yunalesca lmao but I have no idea what the monster arena is nor do I have any of these items
It's coming up really soon! After the Yunalesca part of the story, you unlock the Airship and then this method will be entirely possible for you. I don't want to spoil if you're not that far yet, but you need that Airship unlocked in order to get to this area, and to do other things like unlocking monsters for the monster arena etc.

good vid i always switch back and forth between farming one eye and doing what your doing there and buying like 100 tetra armor at the port for cheap then custimizing it with kottos drops then selling it but i am always playing this game like a crack head lol and looking for new faster ways of making gil keep me posted if you find a way kk
Glad you liked it :D Also, I hear you on that one man with the armor customization selling; to be honest the only thing I don't like about it is that it's a two step process, whereas mimic farming is just based off a high encounter rate :o All in all they're both effective, but in all my years of playing I've found this one to be the easiest/fastest one, however I suppose it's whatever you enjoy doing at the end of the day!

This is intended actually, as throughout the main story there really isnt a reliable method of mass farming gil/ap, nor is there much of a need for either since it would entirely trivialize everything if you could. Once you get the Airship however there is still alot of content left, and you mostly use farming methods to prepare for Dark Aeons, Superbosses, and Penance. It is pretty much the point in the game where it kicks off and you have the freedom to do whatever you like, and you also need the airship to even begin farming the monster creations for Aurons celestial weapon.
Early game Gil farming is basically useless. Just don't buy anything. There are plenty of weapons and shit you can get from optional fights and chests along the way. All you have to do is understand the game and how to optimize stuff like your abilities and s lvls. I've seen people complete this game in under 11 hours and it has 8.5 hours of cutscenes.
I think I bought a 4-slotted tetra weapon from one of the vendors and used it to craft on! This trick does work well with just an empty 3-slot though too :)

Easy yes, fastest no selling gear with added effects is still faster with this method u can average about 3-4 million Gil per hour with selling weapons u get well we’ll over 20 mil an hour
Selling weapons crafted with healing/mana springs is indeed faster. However, I made this video with the intent to help out players who've freshly obtained the airship, since Kottos is an arena boss and mimics are much easier to kill.
Yeah for sure. It's essentially just about the opportunity cost of a random encounter with a Mimic, vs. averaging out on sales with Triple AP weapons worth 67k

Here's a small excerpt that should help you get the items needed to transform the rusty sword into Masamune :D "To obtain Auron's Masamune, the player must first obtain the Rusty Sword, found on the eastern cliff outside of the Cavern of the Stolen Fayth. Next, the player must go to the Djose end of Mushroom Rock Road. The north-western passage leads to a rising platform that leads to a statue of Lord Mi'ihen. Placing the sword before the statue will reveal a glyph, which in turn reveals the Masamune's location. The Mars Crest is found near the entrance to Mushroom Rock Road, along the final area of the Mi'ihen Highroad. A long, narrow series of passages leads to the southeast, at the end of the path is a chest with the Mars Crest. The Mars Sigil is obtained from the owner of the Monster Arena. The player must unlock a total of ten Area Conquest or Species Conquest monsters. It can be any combination of the two. Catching at least one of each type of fiend in an area unlocks an Area Conquest, while catching all the fiends of a particular species unlocks a Species Conquest. Thus, acquiring the Mars Sigil is not particularly difficult, it just requires a lot of work to catch the monsters needed."
Setagenba Oh I've got the Masumune, but the sword you're using with Auron in the video is a different weapon isn't it? because the Masumune hasn't got Gillionaire on it
Oh apologies then, I think I wound up getting a fresh 4-slotted weapon and enchanting Gillionaire on it with designer wallets :D If it's easier for you, you can also just run Rikku with her celestial weapon for preset Gillionaire

I hear you man, you can definitely do it though :) My best advice to you when you start to tackle the monster arena is make sure you have your main party's celestial weapons ready to go, it makes alot of the lesser bosses extremely easy. Also there are certain breakpoints for stats that you want before you take on dark aeons and some of the harder creations, a general rule of thumb is to have the basic stats (strength, magic, def, mag def) all maxed at 255 as it'll make your life SUPER easy
+Doomtrigger What do you mean? You don't need any of your characters to have broken HP limit. Infact most veteran FFX endgame players consider BHPL to be a hindrance. The only thing you "need" would be for someone to make short work of mimics, and if anyone has atleast one celestial weapon it should be fairly easy. :)
If you have a first stroke weapon, you can provoke the malboro and he won't use bad breath

For the malboro you can just use first strike and hit it with delay buster 😊
I use first strike on weapon and use delaybuster. Then the Darn plant wont use breath 👍

If you use Auron's celestial weapon you don't have to worry about shit lol. He always goes first so you can just flee battles you don't wanna do.

Did you get that weapon from one eye? A 4 slot triple AP is pretty rare.

Sadly it does not stack with multiple characters! Only one instance of Gillionaire will take effect at any given time.

In reality you need to subtract the 8000 gill it costs ro fight him too.
