It is a tad small, but you gotta make it work for you lol I’ve hauled some crazy things in the factory bed. But I do like this bed more, thanks and thanks for watching!
Well it would have been more detailed but I was overwhelmed with working on this thing while doing everything else during the day lol. Thanks for watching!
@@TacomaDad Haha I know the struggle. Now that I'm doing video and writing for TrailTacoma it's tough to remember to take video and pictures along the way. Makes every install 3x longer to finish.
Great explanations! Smart with the high clearance in the rear. Also really dig the lines towards the tailgate area where the box tube angles in a bit, also smart, less to get hung up on.
Yaaaaaasssss! Seriously badass! I would do that in a heartbeat!! If you want to do another one let me know! I’ll head to your house with beer and pizza!! 🤣 awesome bro!
Haha thanks! This one took wayyyy longer than I hoped, Idk if I have another one in me 😂 Now to get it all dialed in and setup with gear. Thanks for watching!
I haven’t officially weighed it but I would guess an additional 60-70ish pounds. My wife was helping me lift it on and off while I worked on it and she said it was just a little heavier than the factory bed lol. Thanks for watching!
Awesome looking rig! Big fan of those sliders, too. Looking forward to the next progress update on this. I actually just picked up a new '20 Taco myself and I've been filming and documenting the build progress if you'd like to check it out! :)
A 5ft "bed" is useless on the modern double cab trucks anyway. That looks really nice

Very awesome build 💪👍
Thank you!
Appreciate ya watching 👊🤘🏻
@@TacomaDad Absolutely 💯 it's great to be a welder/builder in this hobby. We built a roof rack for a Expedition
Nice! I’m no pro but enjoy doing it 👍
Keep up the good work!
Phenomenal. I like it alot
Appreciate you watching 🤘🏻
I see a solid axle swap in this trucks future!!!!
It is on the list!
Nice work !! I'll take one for my 2nd gen in aluminum please ...
If only I could weld aluminum! This one for sure would have been done that way.
Thanks! And thanks for watching 🙏
This bed is one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen
Haha thanks! Appreciate ya watching 🤘🏻
This has to be the coolest bed I’ve ever seen. Wish I can do this on my first gen.
Thanks!
You can, this is my first ever welding project. Came into with little to no experience working with metal. It takes time but it was fun
Awesome work!!!
Thanks and thanks for watching!
Looks killer nice welds especially for flux core!
Thanks. They are not all great but I definitely tested my self welding up side down, sideways and all that lol. Thanks for watching!
Awesome man! Was hoping you were filming video series on this haha
Well it would have been more detailed but I was overwhelmed with working on this thing while doing everything else during the day lol. Thanks for watching!

It really does. So much to do 😓
That is amazing!
Thanks love!
You're bad influence. The new bed looks killer and makes me want to do something similar with mine. Nice work dude.
Haha thanks man! I say go for it! Thanks for watching 🤘🏻
Right!
Ain't that the damn truth
Damn, pretty dope 🤙🏻
Thank you. Appreciate ya watching!
That’s sick man. I wanna do it to my tacoma. Let’s see it on the trail.
Thanks🤘🏻
My latest video it’s out on the trail with the new bed and a new video is coming soon as well! Thanks for watching

That area in the rear is where all the dents are on my factory bed lol. I figured I may as well make it less of a chance to get hung up on back there.
Haha sick man.. you’re just totally modding the crap out of this, nice work.
Man I’m trying lol. Trying to have a different 3rd gen on the road 🤘🏻. Thanks for watching!
Great job! Can't wait to see this thing rolling down the road on 40s lol
Ooo that will be a minute. 37s will be on it soon. Taking a trip to the lake then should get those on. Thanks for watching!

What bumper is that?
Warfabs warthog bumper with a stinger instead of flat bar
Awesome work your doing, how much heavier is that compared to stock bed?

What welding equipment did you go with?
Excellent job, you should be proud of yourself.
I use a Lincoln flux core welder. It seems to do the job.
Thank you! And appreciate you watching!
Looking good honey, you can see it's a lot more sturdy than factory build. Can't wait to see it done.
Gotta get at least a tailgate on it before we go to the lake so hopefully soon! Thanks!
