Where Im from brick is used as outlayer of a house, first goes the blocks, and then the styrofoam as insolation,on the bottom a layer of rubber is used then scorched and glued to the wall to make it waterproof. After styrofoam and a little gap bricks are used to seal it. Thats how insulation is done here
Im being made redundant and looking to go into a different career. What's the best way to get into bricklaying? Was going to get a CSCS card then try to become a labourer and work my way up from there
It’s simple if you have room in your garden , you just need a plank of wood that you can level and wide enough to hold a brick or 100mm block . Get some cheap bricks enough for 6 bricks long and 8-10 high if you want, so your not bent down the whole time do 2 courses of block ( just use thermilites ) , then just lay on top . Get some cheap sand and a bag of hydrated lime don’t use cement and away you go . The beauty of this is you can take it down and reuse everything as many times as you want , obviously you will need some tools . If your in the uk and need a trowel I have a modified ox trowel that I don’t use which you can have , just let me know .
@@Stucrompton1 that’s good to hear, I was worried I was super slow but I reckon I can throw down 350 but I’m mixing and Loading out at that and using awful bricks at the minute. Always good to watch your videos tho 👍
Stu Hi, I am a newcomer to London.. I need to work in a brick team around london..i have no tools no van..what shoud i do at first..i have many years of construction experienece in my country..now i want to get involved with the jobs in uk..thanks for your help
Maybe difficult as you need at least nvq level 2 (2 years ) to work on site plus health and safety test certificate. Not as easy as just come and start bricklaying. First you need tools.

I see you with the London pattern trowel. How are you liking it? It’s what common amongst the majority of the bricklayers in the southeastern USA
Is this in Chorley off willow road? Near Bowens? Watch this channel all the time. It's better than anything on the TV.
Had to look twice to figure out you'd put brick on brick. Nice to see that even the best make mistakes!
We all make mistakes mattt 👍
Didn't even notice you had put brick on brick at the start until the "beeeeep" on the video! 😂😂

Fantastic, how many can you lay in a day ?
500- 700 or over a 1000 if you throw them in or use other speed techniques

@@Stucrompton1 what about van ? is it necessary for a single bricky..
Thanks for your help
You need van, tools, qualifications and experience. Customers won’t pay for your services otherwise.
The big question is though do retaining walls keep people in or out ...
раствор у вас хороший !!! приятно смотреть !!!
Quality as always Stu 👍 when's that old fellow going to be putting windows in again 😉
Lol we’ve all stacked our bond at times.
Beautiful brickwork ma brother 🙂👍✌

Love your clips but you have to move that camera from your head. makes you feel sick as it moves too much.🤮🤮🤮
Cowd today lad.
