Best video tutorial about tying the necktie I have ever seen. I think the over head (POV) camera angle is genius, especially for the bow tie. I never could get that one correct.
“Any man that’s worth his salt knows how to tie a bow tie.” Decades ago my father told me, “A mark of a gentleman is one who ties his own bow tie.” It’s not the easiest knot to master, especially pulling the inside loop through the knot. That said, I always get compliments when I wear one.
When I was a lot younger I couldnt tie a bow tie, I would wear the clip on ones. An older friend of the family took one look at me, and told me to buy a real one and he'll teach me. I learned to tie a bow tie at 18 and I always get compliments when people realize its a real bow tie.
Reflecting on it now, I might not have learned to tie a bow tie were I not in concert band in HS. Of course, we guys had to wear bowties and "tuxes" (though they were really just black suits with vests instead of the proper tux and lapeled waistcoat) and pre-tied bowties were part of the uni. Did not like them, eventually learned to tie one myself, and voila, I wear them all the time 3 years later.
Antonio what is up with your views. You have 2.3 mil subs but latest videos have about 30k views. You should talk to RUclips about it, might be a subbox problem. These videos are so good man.
That dark shirt/light tie combo can be very dressed up - perfect for occasions like fashion events, movie launches, cocktail parties and the like. A regular office appropriate look can actually come off as plain and dull.

Being left handed, my tie knots are a bit different, including my bowtie knots, and I tighten my bow tie just a bit different. Grabbing all 4 ends at the same time and tighting and loosing at the same time.

We need to spread pocket square etiquette awareness! It’s good guys want to wear them but I see soo many guys wear the sets where the PQ matches the tie identically. Nothing is more tacky looking.

I remember years ago i went to a wedding and didnt know the tie length rule...hahaha my tie was way above my belt buckle. No one said anything to me!!!! In photos i look like a damn fool!!

Personally, I prefer to match my tie and pocket square. There are no written laws for this. Plus, I always get compliments.

I actually remember teaching myself how to tie a four in hand knot for the homecoming dance one year in highschool. I had no clue that the Oriental knot existed, so I was working a lot harder at it than I should have been. Never forgot how to do it, I didn't have anybody to teach me how, so I just went off of what I knew and eventually it worked out.

I really dislike dimples in my ties, I believe they look sloppy and I believe they make the wearer look unkept and uncaring in their appearance, just saying Oh, and I really hate four in hand knots, they look uneven and again uncaring. Just my opinion :)

4 in hand is sqint and sloppy and one-sided. Manufacturers put in too thick an interlining in ties. I remove the bulky interlining and tie a Windsor knot.

When I tie the tie it doesn’t hang down to my belt area
I have in my collection 125 Ties that I purchased online & that aren't those super expensive ones either. They are simply beautiful looking mostly Jacquard woven silk Ties that make me look like I know my Stuff, which I do. I pretty much have a life long collection which I know will Serve Me Well In all situations for years to come.
The real question is
How do you put your collar back down without wrinkling it?

I really like the Prince Albert knot. From a distance it looks a little bit like the four in hand, but once you get closer, you notice the difference. It's all about the details.
