My advice is don’t wait for special occasions to wear nice clothing. Monday to Thursday it’s okay to use that t shirt to stay at home but on the weekends if you go out wear that nice shirt/pants combo you always push to the wall. One day it will not fit you and that’s when regret will knock your door. By the way, I see the Wolverine issue in the back and i salute you.
It's a damn shame society has normalized dressing like a slob when outside. I get not dressing up to run very quick errands but people will not even dress up for things that still should matter, like attending university.
This is how the hobby of dressing well starts, totally agree. There are no social norms anymore for being well dressed in public you have to bring them on your own lol.
I have a closet full of clothes and hardly wear them because I tend to wear the same clothes all the time. I want to save the nice clothes for that special occasion that rarely comes. I assume most of you are in the same boat.
I'm going out with better clothes whether the occasion demands it or not .. better to switch outfits to get equal amount of wear,.And my wife says if i'm watching all these videos, i should be putting the info into practice.
I bought a fake Rolex in NYC 2018 on purpose. I wanted the china town experience. They called someone. Dude jumped out of a mini van with a trash bag and I talked him from 250 to $40. Big ugly gold one, crap movement, fake non moving chrono... love it, the experience was worth every penny.
Your first custom shirt. The temptation when you design your first one is try and make it really unique. So you go for all the bells and whistles, three button collars, contrast placket, cuffs, collars, anywhere you can put it. Basically the equivalent of a flying toaster web site. I did that so you have to.
The guys from the skinny jeans era who stuck with a slim or tailored fit, not too tight or too baggy, are extremely happy and comfortable. My biggest regret was chasing trends and now I have a bunch of old clothing that I no longer wear, things always come back around and as you said, sticking with clothes that fit you well and look good, will always be in style no matter what is trendy.

This dude usually speaks truth ! I just wish he would go more into Niche markets .. Like talking about the raw Japanese denim , small production sneakers , and useful tech .
Basically buying anything you see in a fashion magazine. By the time the magazine is published you're going to be competing with other people flocking to buy the same thing so it will be overpriced and probably not available in the colors and sizes that suit you. Not to mention that these magazines focus on transient styles that will be out of date in a few months as they move on to the next new thing.
Man, I hate the "almost there" size but after a while I just learnt to stay away from it, in the end I just didn't feel comfortable in it and never actually wore any of it.
The advantage of the quarter-lined linen jacket is simply convenience of getting in and out of the sleeves (who are always lined) because linen kinda "sticks" to linen making putting on and taking off your unlined jacked kinda awkward if you wear a linen shirt too.
I liked the video and I can only tell you that again I like the theme and dressing with great taste, style and simplicity, and finding people like you, Aarón and José Zúñiga, greetings from CDMX 🍻🥂🇲🇽😎🌎
So about 3 weeks to a month ago my sister wanted to buy a pair of sunnies. So I took her to Sunglasses Hut. While there I noticed they had the Ray Ban/Meta shades there. I asked about the styles and they mentioned that it only comes in that one style. For me that was a turn off. I would have liked to see them in other styles but apparently they haven't reached that point yet. On another note you mentioned something about the different trends. I have always paid attention to the current fashion trend but I have always felt like it didn't fit my style. Thank you Mr. Centeno for your time in putting these videos up. I have applied some of your advice to my daily life. Some people have asked me "Why are you dressed like this, you don't normally dress like that?" I normally respond with "It's not for others that I dress the way I do, it's for me."
Never buy a fake watch is a very useful advice. Many fall into the temptation. Wearing a fake watch makes you feel counterfeit about yourself, not to speak of the embarrassment of having to call it 'fake' when you attempt to sell it or gift it, assuming you don't want to pass it off as the genuine article.
Hey, I used to watch this channel ages ago! I stumbled upon it by accident and some nostalgia kicked in. I am glad you are still doing it and it seems very successfully :))
"Buy clothes YOU genuinely like" this. Trends come and go, but a nice fitting (not tight, not loose, just comfortable) shirts, trouses and shoes never failed me in getting a compliment here and there. Not to mention a fitting suit (which lets you move your hands comfortably and sit down without it looking odd), now that's a "thigh highs" allure but for men. Women LOVE it and even men treat you differently.
Going to the tailor to adjust my clothes to my present body, don't know when i lose the weight, might as well look good now.. And the right clothes are slimming anyway.
I have been using the slick collar for quite some time and needed a replacement. I did love the idea of a 15% discount using the code. Sadly, 15% off to buy the slick colour pack itself plus $160 packaging and handling Put it at nearly $200 for me. This is the sad truth, saw a guy in a shirt with 'director of fashion' of some company written on it and all I could think was how the beginnings of his pot belly were throwing off the proportions of all his nice clothes, drawing the eyes away from outfits positives
That "getting in shape" delusion actually works for a tiny portion of people - fitness/bodybuilding enthusisats who bulk and cut. I personally fluctuate in the range of 1,5 - 2 sizes, so I basically have two sets of sizes, one being M/L and the other L/XL which I wear depending on my size and weight.
To contrast the fake watches point. There are several larger purchases I've made in the past few years where I could have just went for the cheaper clone or counterfeit but I chose to save and buy the real thing. This includes watches, pocket knives, and professional grade tools. Yeah the hit to the wallet hurts at first, but I have yet to regret a purchase that I planned and saved for.
Funny when I bought cloths a size down it never worked out. When I started buying for my body type I started losing weight, meaning they ended up looking too large.
As a watch guy, I always hated the Moonswatch. (Full disclosure, I do own one). Since Swatch owns Omega, I don't think the latter had much choice in the collaboration.
Things that are nice and cool and expensive but you don’t understand. I had a friend tell me he was thinking about dropping more than $10k on a Leica watch because it’s the same brand as some equipment he owns. He didn’t know what I was talking about when I told him that I didn’t know he was a horologist.
As a camera and watch enthusiast I would never blindly buy a watch that's sporting the same logo as my camera unless it was very inexpensive or very well built, and even then, I'd rather just get a watch from a known watchmaker instead (for 10k+ I'd rather get a Speedmaster for example). I reserve the same energy for car brand collab watches. The cheap stuff isn't great and the expensive stuff isn't very good value for money. It just feels a bit lame, like you're willingly choosing to be a walking billboard for a company that's not even paying you to promote their shit. It's one thing if you buy it because you did your research and are confident in your purchase, it's another thing if you buy it just because it's got the same logo on it as something else you have and love.
I bought a few pastel dress shirts. I can never find a use for them. They are too ostentatious for almost any situation, and short sleeved, so that narrows down the wearability more. Why did I do that? They were on sale; still not worth it.
I bought one of those Swatch x Omega watches bc they were sold out everywhere and got caught up in the hype. But after looking at the quality and the plastic strap, I was like this is a toy and returned it 3 days later.
Of course, a traditional analog watch is better than a smart watch in terms of elegance, but I absolutely love the functionality of my Apple Watch. Stick with a simple, classic watch face and simple band and you should be good to go. Yes, it’s not the same, but I think at least for me it’s a worthwhile trade-off.
My biggest fashion regret is honestly a leather jacket. I don't think it's a thing most guys would regret buying, but I spent several hundred bucks on something that I didn't quite understand how it would fit, is way too hot for my climate 80% of the year, and just generally doesn't fit my vibe. Probably gonna resell it at some point and get one that's a different fit and style, or just keep wearing my denim jackets forever lol
My size and proportion keeps fluctuating due to health and medicines as well as changes in exercise and food routines due to aforementioned health and medicine changes. I've stopped buying new and started buying discounted clothes or visiting thrift stores. I'm wondering if I should consider some sort of shapewear, not to look thinner and vainer, but to hold myself together into a consistent shape after losing a lot of weight and having loose skin since I haven't been able to add muscle. It's weird, I'm back to the near the same weight I was when I got out of the Marines and into college and my first job, and yet none of the suits I had for that 20 lbs range fit quite right even though I'm right in the middle of that range.
When I graduated College, I slowly escalated the Corporate letter and used to wear suits 5 day's of the week. Once I gained experience and confidence, everything changed. Currently I don't wear a suit at all, I ride a bike to work , my uniform is biker boots, jeans , T-shirt & jacket. Ended up donating my suits to a good friend that needed them. The moral is to dress according to your needs! By all means, don't get me wrong, I love wearing a good suit (looking sharp). But what's the point of wearing one, if you don't need to! 😁
I just bought an Apple Watch Ultra 2. It has a much longer battery life. I bought it mainly for security - it’s good to always have a phone/GPS on you, in case you have some sort of emergency. My phone is usually but not always on me, and even if it is on me, it’s always good to have a backup. I purchased two pairs of stainless steel 3-link bands, so it looks more like a traditional watch aside from the face. If I want to wear a traditional watch for style reasons, I might wear the Apple Watch, without the band, in my pocket.
Does the ultra not require you to have your phone on you? I thought that was kinda the big issue with apple watches, that you still had to have your phone on or near you for all the features to work. Is that no longer the case?
@@ahastar1141 As long as your Apple Watch is equipped with cellular (which all Ultra models are), you don't need your phone on you. Lots of people trying to spend less time on their phones have found great success with Apple Watches-especially the Ultra-not just replacing but minimizing phone screen time. I recently watched a video which does a great job of discussing this. I tried posting the URL, but RUclips in its infinite wisdom seems to be censoring it, so I give up. But I'm sure you can search the topic on RUclips and see some good videos discussing the matter.
@@ahastar1141 As long as your watch has cellular access, you don't need your phone with you in order to use data on it (including to make phone calls and access the Internet).
I live in an area which hardly goes under 50 degree . But I have a collection of 17 leather and suede jackets, three long wool and cashmere overcoats, one pea coat, two parkas, multiple other jackets and collection of 12 boots. I need help.
I bought a pair of brioni pants that retailed for $950 for $70 on a clearance. They were too tight but I planned to lose weight. After a couple of years they still were tight. Then I finally lost all the excess weight and they were way too big.
Omega didn't "work with NASA" in 1969 for the Moonwatch. NASA bought them anonymously and Omega didn't learn about their inclusion in the mission until mission photos came out.
Swatch group owns Omega. For around $300 dollars if you thought you were getting an Omega you are crazy. Thought this was a fun collaboration and I got a couple at the store for msrp. Still wear them.
What I regret is becoming so interested in style videos. I mean, we can become interested and we can surely realize that it is important to look our best. However, we should not become collectors. We should be wearing our clothing and our shoes. I don't need twenty five dress shirts. I don't need thirteen pairs of shoes. Who does? Yet,they are here with me.
HEY!!! The old starwars Lego sets (if un opend) are going for thousands to millions of dollars. I'm 28 and have some Pokémon cards worth a few thousand and I just kept them in a binder since I was 8.
on watches homages are ok but much better you get a real of a brand at your price point. It is more genuine, microbrands these days hit the right look, have high quality, and some may give you a good story to share.
I too bought a fake Rolex while in Saudi during my time in the service. I got back and couldn't sell it or give it away = I through it away. I blew only $120 bucks though. Thx...
Just to be clear, Swatch and Omega didn’t ’get together’, Swatch bought Omega to preserve the heritage and ward off the advances of LVMH or other such luxury conglomerates. The collaboration was to celebrate and publicise that
Swatch, now a days is making these funky watches, I don't know why... but when I bought a swatch it was a well-designed chrono watch back in 2005... and trust me, till today I went to the service center to change batteries and its chain because it broke and that's it... i wear it almost daily till date and its working like a charm... the watch which I bought can be worn with both casual and formal... but it is more like a smart formal kinda watch
Dress for the body you have? Superior advice! But, what if that body keeps changing? I think one source of regret that needs more attention in your video is not being a "shopaholic." If you lose alot of weight, keep on the 'straight and narrow' instead of being elated and buying alot of clothes for the new size. It might also include something about investing in a sewing machine and learning how to use it properly to avoid this type of loss/regret. Thanks for this video.
haha I bought the moonswatch couple years ago at retail and sold it last year at retail price it was good pretty much got to wear it for free for a year
If you really want to get into nicer watch but don't want to break the bank, buy from established & reputable brands like Seiko, Citizen or Hamilton. Brands like these are known for offering well-built watches in the lower price range. Even though they're significantly cheaper than brands like Rolex & Omega, watch people wouldn't despise you for wearing them. They're just good time pieces.
Well this collaboration makes sense KFC tastes like it came from the bottom of someone’s shoe. KFC does not taste like it use to. It has gotten bad over the last few decades. They did something with the ingredients. Not had their food in over two decades. As for Crocs? Never wore them always thought they were ugly peasant shoes.
Hello, I hope you are doing well. I enjoy watching your channel and find it very informative. I was wondering if you could recommend any similar channels that are geared towards women. I'm looking for something for my wife. Thank you for your time and consideration.
Slim fit, slim fit are the clothes you will always regret buying. I had to throw away a lot of of nice dress shirts because they no longer would button up. I had a 4 inch gap on my chest that wouldn't button up. Just buy regular fit dress shirts, and tuck them in. They will look just as good. And for winter jackets. I always size up; you get mobility and more durability. Since you aren't stressing the fabric out from daily usage.
Really love your content and been a subscriber for the last 4 years. However, what's with the image noise and overall low quality visuals? My man Antonio needs a proper video shooter.
0:00 🤯 The collaboration between Crocs and KFC with a bucket design and fried chicken charms went viral, but many buyers regretted paying full price for a novelty item. 0:45 🕰 Omega and Swatch launched the Moon Swatch, generating a lot of hype. However, many buyers felt disappointed with the quality compared to an Omega Speedmaster. 2:03 🔗 Brand collaborations like Louis Vuitton and Supreme, or Alexander Wang and H&M, create a lot of hype and high resale prices, leading to buyer's remorse. 2:37 🧥 Clothing that doesn't do its job, like sweaters that don't keep you warm or summer jackets that aren't breathable, causes disappointment. Choosing the right materials is key. 3:27 👔 Flimsy shirt collars that don't frame the face well don't give an elegant look. Using devices like Slick Collar can improve the appearance without buying new shirts. 5:13 ⌚ Buying fake watches might seem like a good idea, but it causes discomfort and worry about being caught. It's better to save for an authentic watch. 6:57 🧥 Buying clothes for an ideal body and not the current one often leads to regret. It's better to buy clothes that fit well now and not rely on future adjustments. 8:09 👖 Extreme fashion items, like very skinny or very baggy jeans, can lead to regret. It's important to know what suits your body type and stick to it. 9:04 🥿 Cheap clothes and shoes might seem like a good idea, but quality matters for comfort and durability. Investing in high-quality key pieces is better. 10:31 📱 Tech-heavy clothing and accessories, like the Apple Watch, can disappoint if they don't meet practical expectations. It's wise to wait until the technology is stable.
Yeah. People got triggered by that Moonswatch, saying things like this isn’t real Omega. Well, it’s got that Omega branding by the company that owns Omega. It is a REAL Omega whether they like it or not.
This is definitely an on-point video, especially for the guys just getting into elevating their style game. We ALL screw this one up, I know I did even after absorbing every word of the Style System (to say nothing of all the other books and videos I studied). Knowing better absolutely saved me a ton of money, but it still didn't make me (or anyone else) mistake-proof simply because there's so many ways to screw up. This one's definitely a great tool for mitigating some of that.
Every time I see a 'Rolex' or other expensive watch I automatically assume that it's a fake. A cheap quartz Casio or Timex tells the time more accurate than any mechanical watch, and you don't have to worry about it getting stolen.
I bought one of those Blancpain x Swatch Fifty Fathoms watches. One of the dumbest things I've ever bought, completely pointless. Absolutely love it though.
Omg as a lifelong professional chef? Do you have any idea how much money I have spent Keeping up with the latest culinary fashions? The right shoes, NO CROCS! SHOES! work sole inserts, socks which don't pinch my toes, Dickies pants, Chef's pants COTTON boxers, a-frames, upgrading each cook jacket as they became more and more vented and the materials became more modern... I actually 150% regret buying suits, blazers, sports jackets and smoking jackets I have put on over 20 pounds of muscle and some pudge that goes with it. And none of these jackets don’t fit anymore. TF’s, Burberry, Boss. You name it I have it. Total waste of money. Jackets are absolutely unforgiving with significant weight gain. Whether it’s good or bad. Oh. Watches. Just get an Apple Watch.
Slick Collar is a game changer.
It is!
@@MayTheSchwartzBeWithYou also, anything that works over WiFi will work without the iPhone, so long as WiFi is available.
So basically just keep the plastic collar support that already comes with the shirt.
I live in an area which hardly goes under 50 degree . But I have a collection of 17 leather and suede jackets, three long wool and cashmere overcoats, one pea coat, two parkas, multiple other jackets and collection of 12 boots. I need help.
Plus, four very handsome suites plus 9 pairs of other than boots shoes from dress shoes to casual.
NASA bought them anonymously and Omega didn't learn about their inclusion in the mission until mission photos came out.
thank you
Love the shirt and jacket what brand and where
Swatch group owns Omega.
Very informative video covering a lot of valuable details 👌💯
thanks, appreciate it!
Why is the video quality so grainy when Antonio is speaking?
editing overlay.
No9 is an absolute truth.
I just strolling around with my casios, those watches are built like a tank
Slick collars are the bomb.
it is!
Good video
Don't buy things because a RUclipsr tells you that you need it.
I would add fragrances to the list. Knock offs don't last very long after you put them on.
Great video as well
Whoa, whoa, whoa - Lego and Star Wars is not a collaboration it is product line.
@@alwayspooh1588 yea not really sure what the difference. They also have Lego Batman, Lego Jurassic Park and so on (I have a 6yo kid).
haha I bought the moonswatch couple years ago at retail and sold it last year at retail price it was good pretty much got to wear it for free for a year
If you really want to get into nicer watch but don't want to break the bank, buy from established & reputable brands like Seiko, Citizen or Hamilton. Brands like these are known for offering well-built watches in the lower price range. Even though they're significantly cheaper than brands like Rolex & Omega, watch people wouldn't despise you for wearing them. They're just good time pieces.
Often when I buy pants, I'll get them cheaper if I buy the extra long inseams. Especially chinos. Then I'll get them hemded.
That bs of moisture wicking garments😂😂
Rolex didn't invent the design of the Submariner. The design was a Military Specification. There have been lots of watches that have used it.
You’re collar is all jacked up 😂
Hello,
I hope you are doing well.
Swatch owns omega.
Only the most logical combination
Great advice!
Thank you!
Every time I see a 'Rolex' or other expensive watch I automatically assume that it's a fake. A cheap quartz Casio or Timex tells the time more accurate than any mechanical watch, and you don't have to worry about it getting stolen.
But Star Wars and LEGO is an unstoppable force.
I bought one of those Blancpain x Swatch Fifty Fathoms watches. One of the dumbest things I've ever bought, completely pointless. Absolutely love it though.
Lego are gold if you get the right set all I am saying
Omg as a lifelong professional chef? Do you have any idea how much money I have spent Keeping up with the latest culinary fashions? The right shoes, NO CROCS! SHOES! work sole inserts, socks which don't pinch my toes, Dickies pants, Chef's pants COTTON boxers, a-frames, upgrading each cook jacket as they became more and more vented and the materials became more modern... And I'm going to need two of each of those...$500 in knives........ And one hair net.
Buy clothing that compliments your build
*buys bodybag
NGL that fake Rolex with the brown strap looks nice - if it was from another brand I could see it costing 500 bucks.
I actually 150% regret buying suits, blazers, sports jackets and smoking jackets
I have put on over 20 pounds of muscle and some pudge that goes with it.
Anything else is silly and a waste of money. Btw. I have a killer watch collection from my collecting days. Total waste of money.
