#oneplus #onepluswatch #smartwatch
No offense but this is a pretty bad review after watching it again. It's like she's purposely focusing on the size because she wants to make it look bad and can't find anything else wrong with it.
💯
Why not get a male to review this 😅
Statistically, more females use smart watches than males. So, it makes sense to review them with females.
@@yalimdilmen7960 only because she kept saying it was a big watch i felt like a man should then cause most men would not think that but oh well
@@MR-_-LIGHTNER oneplus did not provide a smaller size option. That's why this size is not good to accept as "one size wearable". The correct way to do it is one mid-size or 2 sizes
So much focus on little wrists.
Pixel watch looks tiny on me and my wrist are not huge
@@TheColorado4wheeler it was such a terrible review
I agree, but there are a lot of folks with small wrists. OnePlus should offer the watch in a smaller size too.
There are two ways to offer a watch since it is a wearable. You either offer 2 sizes or you just offer a mid-size. Oneplus did none of them and that's a bummer
@@yalimdilmen7960 The size is part of it's functionality. I was worried about the diameter. I am an average size male. 5'10". It's the perfect size. I would not want smaller. I would not want MidSize. If they offered Midsize I likely would have gotten that, but I am glad that didn't happen and this size is perfect.
It's nice to see a smart watch that doesn't look like a toy for once. Honestly the larger watch is exactly what I am looking for. I have the 47 mm Galaxy watch and my biggest complaint is that I always wished it was a little bigger because I prefer larger watches. I switched to a OnePlus 12 from my POS s23 ultra so it looks like it's time to update the watch.
oh you switched from s23 ultra to a OnePlus 12? I was holding the thought as well but S23U is still relatively new, not sure I would really consider an upgrade switching to the OP12, do you feel a smoother experience esp for apps? I still find apps a little whacky at times on the S23 Ultra.
Wear OS and great battery life is all I needed, I'm a man so my wrist is big anyways the size is not a big deal
Got mine for $199. I purchased the pre sale coupon for a $1. That coupon gave me $50 off. Then i traded in an old watch that gave me an additional $50. Could not pass that up lol.
Me too! I ordered two today 😂
Same here. I ordered the moment it was available for pre order
I got mine for 50$, with the 1$ coupon and I ordered a one plus 12, you get the watch for 99$ if you order it with.
@@redundantpancake Lucky, I preordered my OP12 and contacted support if I could retroactively get the discount, didn't persuade them sadly lol. Still going to be trading in a broken iPhone 7 for $50 off on top of the $1 coupon.
@@redundantpancakeWhere are you guys getting an additional 50$ off other from trading in?
Absolutely atrocious review.
For one, the title mentions "compromises", of which the only "compromise" is "oh no, the watch is big", and "I have tiny female wrists". Both of those things vary. They aren't objective compromises like, say, laggy software (which she states in the review this doesn't seem to have).
She actively chooses to focus too much on her personal issues with the watch. Overall she mentions that this watch has one of the longest lasting battery's, is snappy, and has in depth fitness and health tracking. Her impression of the watch should ultimately be higher than it is. It's almost like she didn't want to really like the watch for whatever reason.
Also, mentioning slightly inaccurate measurements that were later FIXED in an update, (although I would be willing to wager it had more to do with the watch not being strapped down tight enough), as a CON is ridiculous. If the issue was corrected, it's no longer an issue.
Overall not a good review.
So What you are saying is. The watch is big. Got it.
This review is not great missing a lot of point about the watch. And yes the big size is a Must
Did you complained about the “big watch” the same amount of time with apple watch ultra too ?
What i see is..most of the time apple watch ultra being praised for the ‘bigger display’..jeeeej !
Why are Indians so obsessed with OnePlus🙄😒
“More impressive on paper than in real life.” -CNET with their biased reviews over and over again. Your reviews are wack. This watch is a banger for the price and has the battery life people have been asking for.
Did she say that this is a big watch? 😬 Too much focus on her tiny wrist
Pixel watch is for woman and OnePlus for men
uh, maybe they should have gotten a bigger person so the watch fits? As with any 1.0 product, one should not buy if they don't want to deal with minor and maybe some major issues.
Uh? Maybe oneplus should have made a watch in two sizes or a size that fits more people not just the ones with large wrists
I guess the point is to do a review for people who will not like it instead of people who will? @@SoulK37
It's literally called the OnePlus Watch 2. It's a 2.0 product.
Are there any exclusive features that only work with OnePlus phones?
If you think it's too big buy a Google Pixel watch. I like a big watch that I can actually see.
How is the vibration on this watch? Does it resemble the apple watch haptic feedback, or more of a Samsung vibration?
small wrist and big watch man I wish there was some industry standard to represent the watch size.
I wasn't expecting OnePlus to release a WearOS watch, much less a WearOS 4 one. This is great and I hope it comes to my country as Xiaomi seems to just not care to release the Watch 2 Pro here.
Horrible review! We get it.. The watch is big "For You" you don't have to repeat it again and again.. And comparing the battery life to a non wear os watch like the Garmin isn't even remotely close 😂
The biggest takeaway of this watch is that you have to do a ton of software updates and adjust the watch a bit higher on your wrist. Got it
ecg in all watches are very inaccurate 💀
Battery life still can't beat the Huawei GT watches. My gt2 pro goes for 2 weeks
But the halve of the features don't work because of the restrictions. And a GT2 pro is a old watch..
I bet if Apple makes a 42 mm watch they would praise it and it will not be a size issue. They will call it innovative large touch screen to do more task on your wrist. Like really...terrible review.
It appears that the back of the watch does not fit properly on your forearm when I look closely at your wrists. This is why your measurements are often incorrect. This watch is really too big for your wrists...
Seriously, when I read the title ''Big battery life'', I was expecting 4-5 days in smart mode, but no, it's no better than a Galaxy Watch 5 Pro or TicWatch Pro 5, pff 🤦🏽♂️
It can last 12 days in Smart mode
@@double__de7387Are you doing it on purpose, or did you not follow the video and the other videos on this smartwatch 🤔
100 hours in smart mode, 12 days on power saver mode. In both cases much longer than the GW5 and TicWatch
@@Ignacio.Romero Lol 🤣 , just like the OnePlus 12 is supposed to hit 4500 nits of brightness 🙄, you really believe that 100 hours is achievable in real life, pff 🤦🏽♂️
@@rolins3279 It reaches 4500 nits while watching HDR content on direct sunlight. In regular sunlight use cases it reaches 1600 nits which is on par with other flagships. Either way there are many reviews out there already, claiming that it has the best battery life
I like how big the watch is and everything else about it
Yes nice but.. there are others out there that do everything this watch does and more with better battery life.
great looking watch but awful vibration, so back it went.
1:56 That’s what she said 😂
OnePlus watch 1 had less than a year of support, and it's full of bugs. (owner of OnePlus watch 1)
Idk who will want to buy a second generation with that attitude
I wouldn't get the first one either. But this is completely different. Good OS, battery life, design and functionality. 👍
I think people like this is why google made a tiny feminine watch.
No doubt about it, this is not a watch for small wrists. But the battery life is top of the heap, best I've ever tested (of watches running Android Wear OS, that is). I really hope OnePlus offers a large and small the next go around. Oh, and improve the weak haptics PLEASE!
It's definitely not a watch for those skinny wrist owners
I have a Series 9, and while maybe it’s because I like to take it off sometimes when I am home, but am I the only one who isn’t bothered by having to top off my watch for an hour or so at night? More battery life isn’t a bad thing, but for me having it last all day is perfect for me, but I guess there’s some people that prefer to never take the watch off.
The thing with battery life is that it always gets worse. If yours gives you a full day now, then it definitely won't in a year or two
The problem is that smartwatches these days are meant to be fitness devices that constantly track your health. Having to take them off for 1-2 hours out of every day to charge them disrupts the tracking. My Garmin Venu 3 gets 7-8 days of battery life and I time my charging to when I'm inactive so I don't miss out on steps or fitness metrics.
@@davejordan87 all lithium batteries die over time.. just don't see the need for 3 day battery life on a watch, but I guess if you keep it long enough it matters more
@@HouseMusicAllNightLong I could see that, but you're telling me if you have an Apple Watch there isn't any time at night you're inactive to let it charge for an hour? you're a lot more motivated than me then lol.. I would think even the most active people would have at least an hour or two at home or work when they're not active lol
@@JoeKnowsWorst for me it's just easier not having to worry about the watch dying on me if I have a heavy day of usage or forget to charge it. I went on holidays for a long weekend recently and didn't even have to bring my charger with me.
Reviews a red car... "I don't like the color red"
Loving the green color
I don't care for your bloody wrist.
I bought it first moment it came out, its currently now sold out xD so i am happy i did, but my current smart watch is not good and the hearth rate always says 150 or 149 so its not that good.
My OnePlus watch 2 won't pair with my oppo find x7 ultra says their incompatible inside the ohealth app 🤦💯
Hey guys!......its Biiiiig😮
Can it be charged by usual Qi chargers??
It's a pin system, so most likely not
No
She reviewed it perfectly
This "review" would have been better sans the reviewers focus on her personal aesthetic preferences
In exercise mode the heart rate is very accurate but in everyday use im not so sure..
Summarized; If you want a crappy watch that sorta works but has a great battery life and are willing to put out 3 bills for it, get a one plus watch 2
After getting the OnePlus 12 I was ready to continue on the OnePlus train but at 399 cad no thanks , even with 60 dollar coupon and 60 dollar trade in , it's still better to just get a cheaper galaxy watch 6 imo
Dont care about your point of view rick😉
So much OnePlus hate. 😂smh
Did OnePlus steal your lunch or something? 😂
@@doudymac some Chad with a OnePlus open, stole his lover lol
btw it runs on two different operating systems and has two separate processors
They should have s shaved a bit of batttery to get this down to 44mm
One Plus : FOR BIGGER BATTERY BEAR MY BIGGER WATCH. NO BARGAIN
sounds like it doesn't out perform the Mobvoi Ticwatch 5
Does it work without an app, because ive got a iPhone and i really want this thing but ive got no clue-
No. Google doesn't support using WearOS on iPhone anymore, so the manufacturers have no say on that.
I have to respectfully disagree on battery life with Samsung. I have the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro that has a bigger battery and routinely gets about three days of life. It's a fantastic watch.
I have the same watch, I would agree with it being great but unfortunately it lags too much for me to recommend
1.43" isn't an abnormal watch size. An average men's watch. I really like that the Oneplus Watch looks like a normal watch, not a health tracker like the Apple Watch for example.
42mm is the average size for a man's watch, 46mm is definitely on the big end of the spectrum
@@SoulK37 My mistake. You are right. I was just looking at the screen size, which is 36mm, but apparently the whole chassis is 47mm.
In any case, the reviewers seem to always have the slimmest wrists possible, which doesn't do the watch justice.
@@ilarilapikisto3250 Imo if you wanna have 1 size only fair but 46mm is way too big for that, you need something smaller like 42 to 44 tops, otherwise do like samsung and have 2 sizes. Being so big they basically cut off a huge chunk of possible buyers cause it just won't fit their wrists.
Fall detection is the only actually useful thing missing, but thats because the watch needs a phone to make calls or send messages. If you have your phone on you, you dont need fall detection because you can call for help. If you dont have your phone, fall detection doesnt matter because it cant alert anyone anyway. Skin temp, SpO2, and ECG are mostly just useless gimmicks. I waited years for Samsung to actually add ECG to their GW2A and 3, only to find out it was locked to their phones. 99% of people will never benefit from these features. Most people will look at them once or twice and never think about them again. A smartwatch isn't a medial device, and all these sensors do is cause anxiety about things that don't matter to most people most of the time.
Definitely not true, if the watch has LTE then it can send the fall detection via SOS. I leave my phone in my vehicle when I go trail running, I’ve taken a fall a few times and my AWU asks if there’s been a phone and slide to send SOS.
SpO2 training is also very common among runners, so I wouldn’t call that feature useless. For you those features might be useless but if the competition is offering those features then yeah I would want them.
Apparently size matters!
No LTE means it's a no from me.
Yeah, but how's the battery life?
My Samsung Galaxy watch 6 I'm getting 4 days battery and works way better which has the best features. One Plus watch is a step down
That laggy Samsung watch, get outta here lol.
Okay hold up lol, I have one of those too and stopped using it because it was laggy. Also, how does it "work way better"? What's the source for that? Lmao.
Samsung is the definition of laggy. I literally gave away my s23 ultra for free and upgraded to the OnePlus 12 because it was so ridiculously lagging during gameplay. Next to go is my Galaxy watch 6 because now the only feature that was worthwhile, the EKG, doesn't work with the non Galaxy phones. I'd rather have the larger brighter screen and battery life from the OnePlus.
Your a funny dude.. The watch 6 only gave me 36 hours with everything on, allot of lag, and inaccurate blood, sleep and step count.. Keep on dreaming about your laggy watch 6...
Pixel is 41mm OnePlus is 47mm.
🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌👏👏
Is this watch iOS compatible?
No
So in summary this offers absolutely nothing new whatsoever in the smartwatch space over any other competitor...
battery life?
Except that it's useable without a galaxy phone or iPhone
It has 2 separate processors that allow the watch to achieve a much higher battery life than most, if not all, smart watches on the market. But it's fine, ignore that because you want to hate it.
Does it work with Strava?
Does it play well with an iphone?
Google no longer supports WearOS on iOS, so no.
Once the price drops to under $200, it's a winner. Nobody should pay over $200 for a smart watch.
Terrible take
Meh, I'll pass on this one
people explain what's so special about the smartwatches? Other then monitoring the battery status I see here no special features. If that one could receive calls or sms independently that's another question, the heart reading while you're on the go is useless and who's going to make sense of the charts even if these were accurate.
Boring!!!
How
Does it hurt to be as stupid as you, or have you grown accustomed to the pain? Asking for a friend.
Reallly hate how that watch buckle and strap come over the top of the watch , galaxy watches the end of the strap tuck underneath and on the other side of your wrist
Can you disable all the sensors on this watch? I just want long battery life, step tracking and nfc for payments
In the words of Randy Jackson on American Idol: Its a no from me dog. Too big, missing ecg, fall detection, body temp, etc. Better off buying an amazfit gtr4 or another model thats cheaper and does about the same thing. (its not wearos though).
Nice just pre ordered mine to go with my oppo find x7 ultra 👌😜🔥🔥🔥
The size... that's gonna be a no from me dawg.
Has NOBODY heard of Mobvoi's Ticwatch series?!
The thing that kills the ticwatch is the updates. No wear OS 4 or Google Assistant I believe
@@Mikedolo456 I'm talking about battery life. We can complain about meaningless wearOS updates if we want, and the lack of Google Assistant is a problem Google created when they decided to give Samsung preferential treatment. But for battery life, the TicWatch pro line has been the undisputed king of Android Wear for at least 4 years.
I went from the Ticwatch Pro 3 Ultra to this. This feels more premium and has better features. 100 times better. 👍
Great Review!!! Thank you 👍.
Just buy Garman new watch 😅
as someone with a small wrist, what watch should i get for my oneplus 12
Samsung is the only brand making (good) small android smartwatches
Pixel Watch 2 or Galaxy Watch 6
Pixel Watch 2.
Pixel Watch 2
2 days is not enough still. 1 week is what we need
5 days with my fitbit easily. 😂
Lol don't lump Samsung's battery with Apple or Pixel. I get 4-5 days consistently with the past 4 iterations.
Maybe in airplane mode. I currently have the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic and the most I can get out of is two days using it as an actual smartwatch. The only way you could get 4-5 days out of it is if you basically turn everything off, which would defeat the purpose.
@@Gravage I don't use aod and everything else is on. Airplane mode goes on when I sleep and off when I wake up. S3 Frontier, S4 classic, watch 5 pro and now 6 classic. All the same.
I get about the same with my Apple Watch Ultra and my Galaxy Watch 6 Classic
My Apple ultra got 4 days consistently even with sleep tracking.
Even with LTE on, GPS on, health tracking on, Apple carplay while driving, full brightness and AOD always on i get four days of battery..
WATCH out for this one!
