I just got my OP W 2 today. You may have a faulty unit. The vibration on mine wakes me out of a dead sleep. My text or notifications in general pop up on the screen instantly. But I don't have AOD on. So that may be the difference in raising my wrist.
Got the Nordic Edition today. No notification pops like my former galaxy watch. Very annoying. Do you have an specific settings that makes the notifications just pop up? Thanks
It all depends on what you're looking for. Some people want to keep their text messages on the down low and don't want everybody to be reading the text message popping up on the wrist
The privacy concern is not an issue. it's cumbersome to try to read someone else's text messages from their smartwatch unless the smartwatch user intentionally shows me their texts
SammyGeek has a validated point for the text messages, but the OnePlus watch is nice looking and is made of steel and the battery life is good. Not sure if I will get one plus watch myself 🤔
@@wildprodigyjust because you are incompetent doesn't mean everyone else is. You should not place your failures and limitations on everyone else. I can read my brother's Samsung messages very easily on his watch without him showing me. And I'm positive unless someone takes the time to actually cover the face, I can and could read anyone's private information from their watch
Wow......Entitled. I remember when we had to wind our watches daily. When there were only 3 channels on TV. Cars only came with AM radio. You need to check your entitlement at the door. @@SammyGeek
Great video! For running and more accurate measurements between Huawei gt4 and One plus 2, which one would you recommend? I'm about to buy a watch and I still can't decide.
The most realistic review I have seen that covers one of the most relevant points to a smartwatch - the vibration motor!!! Practically EVERY reviewer that gets these watches for FREE DO NOT cover the vibration motor. You are spot on about the watch 5 pro. The motor is strong. Garmin, the motor is strong. I have a Vivoactive 4 that was released in 2019 and the vibration motor is STRONG. In my opinion, your review, even though you don't cover all the other things that the watch supposedly does, and others do at nauseum, you covered what many of them refuse to cover that is frankly VERY relevant. What is the purpose of having a smartwatch if you can't even tell if you got a notification or not? I don't care if the thing is built like a work of art. If it doesn't do all smartwatch things right, then it should have NEVER been released. These companies have gotten lazy releasing stuff KNOWING full well that they lack in several key areas. It's a slap in the face of the consumer. Thank you for covering something that is actually relevant.
I'm between a oneplus watch 2 for 249 + tax at Amazon ( around 270) or a watch 5 pro for 200$ in my country. Which one do you recommend? In terms of speed the OnePlus feels better ? Because it has 2 gb ram vs 1.5 gb on the 5 pro. And how it is the one plus health app for the phone ? It's bad?
Would be interesting to get OnePlus's take on how the notifications are supposed to work so you would know if it is working as designed or if there is a software bug in play. For me both of the issues listed are not deal breakers so I have ordered the watch. I can see though how you would pass on the watch if these items are important for your daily use. Awesome looking watch though and great video BTW.
Have you tried to answer calls on phone when you have a bluetooth device connected to the phone itself rather than the watch ? I cant get that to work, it disconnects any bluetooth device and directs the call to the phone itself.. that means that I cant use my regular bluetooth devices that are far better than the buds, or use the Google AAOS handsfree in the car.
Thanks for review. Samsung watches allow to select if you want notifications to pop up automatically - turn on screen function. Maybe OnePlus watch has similar function in settings? I would like to buy them, bun not showing notifications is a deal-breaker for me as well.
Just went from the Samsung watch 3 to the Huawei gt3 and now I'm the Xiaomi watch 3 and it beats them all for a lower price. Should be more reviews and comparisons for it
I'm going to buy it, my Classic 6 is the smaller size, the 47 was a little too big, but that's because of the watch case, the prongs where the band is attached to it, are too spread out (too flat), whereas the 1 plus is more indented/curved towards the roundness of your wrist, making it look like it's not too big, and 46mm seems perfect. If 1 plus had going like the Classic 6, then it would've been a disaster, like the 47mm C6.
99.999999% will absolutely love this watch and appreciate this watch. Only one person which will go unnamed will not like this watch is better than any other watch that was compared to on this video had way too many issues with that Garmin watch and love the watch 2
I also bought OnePlus watch 2 to pair with honor magic 6 pro...but i return honor just because was way to overrated...i bought s23+ and buy watch 5 pro instead OnePlus watch 2 just because i believe it is better pair have both items from Samsung Overall i think is a good watch(OnePlus watch 2),but for Samsung phones Samsung watches are still better choice

Haha! When your hands are full with kid toys and mom is texting, I glance down and read the message. Not taking a step back with a new watch in 2024. If I want to stop and press buttons I'll just use my phone...
@@SammyGeekJust got the OP watch 2 Loving the watch so far. Maybe its the recent update but I actually just realized notifications show up as soon as I raise my hand now. 👍

Ordered the Nordic Blue version. Coming in two weeks. Can't wait to put my hands on it.
Looks beautiful 😍
I'm thinking on this
If you want the same type of watch band for the OnePlus watch 2 but you don't like the green color just use a Galaxy S3 frontier black band.
Wish you showed how notifications appear on the Samsung watch
I'll make some more videos! Good idea for sure.
Touching the watch face to read a message is too much work?

I returned my OnePlus watch 2 because it wasn't compatible with my oppo find x7 ultra and I managed to pair my phone with a galaxy watch 5 pro 😜👌🔥🔥
It might be faulty or a firmware update will solve it. Mine works excellent in both vibrationstrenght as in notifications
Any one have an idea why there is no way to store music to the oneplus watch . I know you can do it with galaxy watch.
According to one plus you should be able to download music. Maybe user error?

How big diffrence is the vibration on samsung and garmin?
If the Garmin was a 10, the Samsung Watch 5 Pro is maybe and 8 or 9. Watch 6 is more like a 6 or 7. This Watch was about a 2.
@@SammyGeek okej. I had 5 pro now i have 6 classic i feel the vibration is the same in those watches

that notification thing sound more like a bug, was this before or after the latest update?
