I want to try this, but it drives me insane when someone says to use vanilla essence in a recipe, that is a man made synthetic vanilla, you should always use pure vanilla extract, there is honestly no comparison and I can't think of any scenario where you should use vanilla essence in a recipe.

Yeah, never use vanilla essence. It seems a lot of recipes outside of the US call for that, and it boggles the mind. It is made with harsh manmade chemicals and the taste is hideous. Just use actual vanilla extract which is natural, but better yet make your own homemade vanilla extract.
