Building code is very strict in the UK and not quick to get approved. Plus there is also the fact that this is a MAJOR construction that would take place literally a couple of hundred metres from Old Trafford, so would have to stop on match days.
As an american who enjoy looking at beautiful stadiums, for the love of God do not have another cookie cutter stadium design that so many other teams have done. One of the reason Trafford is beloved is because of its beauty and how unique it is compared to a cookie cutter looking stadium
Just like we figured it out here in the US 15 to 20 years ago, new stadiums with additional revenue is what all big clubs have to do to survive against other big clubs. I always admired England for keeping old beauties alive but with Tottenham, West Ham, Everton now and probably Man United, Keeping an old stadium is not a way to survive anyway....
As a fan of Manchester united, I support the motion of building a new stadium for the club and then leave the old one for the female and academy teams. We as fans of the great Manchester united will be very proud of the owners and the new executives for this kind special development. Glory, glory to Manchester united. May we live long as fans around the world to witness this great development. Thank you Manchester united owners and the executives.
Build a new one and while that is being built man utd can still play their home games at the old one. Get the fans opinion as its the fans that buy the tickets, the merchandise etc. The fans have a voice jim listen to what they are saying
I think build a new stadium from ground up , there is no point to renovate old Trafford only reduce the capacity and let the youth team and ladies team use old Trafford as their stadium and new stadium for senior players
Thought the plan was to build a new stadium on the land at the back then, so the team doesnt have to find another ground to play in, slowly refurbish the current stadium and descale the capacity down to 30,000 for the women's team and academy squads
There’s something special about playing on the same exact field as all the past greats. And people value that kind of history and will pay a premium for it; at least in places like Madrid, Barcelona, Chicago, Boston and NYC (msg). So I say renovate.
New stadium without a doubt, keep Old Trafford, downscale and use it for Womens/Academy games
It’s too good for women’s games man even reduced
If its just sitting there they might aswell play womens games @RichardMason-gj9ue
maybe not a downgrade to the stadium but definitely for women's game
New stadium 🎉

Trying to figure out why it would take 6yrs to build a new stadium. In the US they build multi billion stadiums in half that time.

3.5 years for everton's new one. 53.000 seats "only"

Build a New Trafford stadium with giving name rights to generate more income, and downsize and keep the old Trafford seems to be the best option.
