You guys replying and liking comments is actually something I brought up to my spa owner. We're opening up a spa in downtown Amarillo, Texas and when we were talking about which brands to supply for the nail side of the spa we both brought up Young Nails and the first thing we agreed on was that you guys pay attention to every single person that comments and likes and supports you. And that's not common in the nail industry. I'd always been told the nail industry is full of sharks but people like you encourage me to keep going and keep trying.
Dallas Diaz that’s super kind of you, and we are here to support... even beyond the liking and commenting, you can actually call us if you have a questions... we have a massive team of successful salon techs that use the product every day to help. ❤️😁
Hey guys I'm a brand new baby Tech, graduated waiting on my license to start my business. I am 60 yrs old! I have worked in the medical field my whole life. When I was in my 20s A very wise Dr told me that I was not going to please all the people all the time. That is something that has stayed with me my whole career. I love the advice you guys give and recognize that some of the things may work for me and some may not but having not ever worked in the nail business before I am open to all kinds of ideas. I just want you guys to know that I spend a tons of time listening to your advice. I love your videos and really appreciate you guys being there. A lot of information I come across is not even in English and as much as I would love to be able to learn from them as well I can't. You guys are the best and I am so glad you're here.
I am SOOO that person that does research for everything all day and then a year later says well I’m thinking about doing xyz 🤦🏻♀️ BUUTT thanks to u guys I’ve actually started doing things! I FINALLY started an Instagram nail page for myself (I’ve always had a personal one) but thank you for always lighting the fires that I let smolder for way too long ❤️💕❤️
I took 10 yrs off from working in the salon to stay home and raise my babies...(4 of them) youngest started kindergarten this year. I had minimal experience when I quit to stay home bc the salon I worked at at the time, the boss wouldn't let me do nails bc "there were already enough nail techs". I was doing hair at that time too so that's what she limited me to. Weird, I know. She was a horrible person by the way. Anyway, fast fwd 10 yrs...I am 1 year back into my nail career and it is my passion. I no longer do hair, just nails. My sister owns a one chair salon. She does the hair and I do the nails and it's perfect. I desperately want to grow my clientele. I work hard to know my stuff, take care of a house, my husband and raise our 4 kids. I am so thankful for your RUclips channel. It's helped me so much in getting back into my career and getting back up to speed on how much the nail industry has changed since I was working before. I love all of your personalities and joking with each other. I just get your sense of humor I guess. Thanks again!
I love your honesty about the industry! You’re the absolute best! Biz Talk is hands down one of my favorite segments on your channel. Keep up the awesome work!
Every time! Just when I’m feeling at my lowest and like this nail biz will never come you guys always come out with a new ‘biz talk’ that makes me go, ‘ugh, dummy of course you can do it’. Love you guys always. Xx 💋
You guys really have amazing advice. I’m not trying to get thousands of IG followers or start a YT channel, I’m just trying to build my business and I understand that social media comes with it. I don’t have 6 photos a day to post but I can certainly comment the heck out of photos that I like instead of just double clicking. I need to remember that as happy as I get when I get a follow or a positive comment from someone I don’t know personally they might feel the same. I met the social media person at a major brand when I went to a training class and he said he recognized my name from the comments I make. I’m not obnoxious or spammy about it, it’s not “hey check out the nails I did,” comments nor is it tagging people and brands in my pics that don’t pertain to that person or brand. Just asking questions and leaving comments. When I ran into him at a nail show he remembered me by sight (my profile pic is of me so there’s that too) and was so friendly. I agree, commenting really does help you grow. I don’t pretend that when I comment on your videos and pictures that it’s Habib or Greg or Tracey commenting but I’m sure sometimes it is. Maybe the person who responds to comments on your videos recognizes my name, maybe they don’t, either way it’s great interaction/mentoring for a baby tech. 11 months into my licensed career you guys are the ones who respond and answer the most consistently. I’ve DM’d Tracey’s personal IG with some questions and she was so great to answer back. I follow a couple of big nail RUclipsrs and have tried to ask questions and advice and been completely ignored. They seem to want to like “OMG SO BEAUTIFUL!!” comments but when you ask something like “Hey I had this happen, what would you do?” It’s crickets. Maybe my reputation is “That chatterbox Christina” but when someone says “Hey! I see you in the comments all the time!” and we have a conversation sharing experiences, that’s gold. So, my November resolution is to post more (Because Habib and Tracey told me to) and say “Great set!” Instead of just letting my double tap do all the talking :)
Definitely one of the better Biz Talks. 😀 I'm going to follow the advice that you gave me a few months back when I gave mention to starting a RUclips channel and you said, "I should do it". I have yet to start any work on getting this together other than a couple of things I would need for recording purposes. Now, I watch this and know for sure, I need to get my ass in gear and just do it. Stop making excuses about my health, as I do have a few chronic conditions that do hold me back sometimes ,but, most of the time, really, I hold myself back. Thank you so much, Tracey and Habib, Young Nails...I'm turning you off now and will be back to update you on how everything goes 💕💕💕
I started my channel after years of friends telling me to start a beauty RUclips channel. I broke my foot working a part time job. So I decided why not I ordered stuff from Amazon to record with. Its been fun and getting me out of being depressed. So go for it won't hurt anything and can help get you in contact with other nail techs in and outside your city.
Watching your "Biz Talk" videos has been very inspirational for me. I've started my Instagram page for nails. And i start nail school next week. This is a kind of terrible time for me to make this kind of huge change in my life. But also maybe the best time. I loved that in one of the videos you talked about how much it sucked to start out and how hard it was. Strangely that convinced me that i could do it.
I don’t think a lot of people realize you can schedule posts on SMP’s which is a huge time saver! So I set aside time on Sundays to get those ready and also I set aside 10 mins a day to interact on Instagram, you can get so much done this way. Also you can post locally on your free google page to drive interest in your business, it’s insane how well google works and helps you!
Thank you for all the advice and educational videos you post. Dedication, hard work , consistency and lots of detours, to your chosen craft, will lead to success. TBH I am one of those people that does a ton of research prior to starting any project. The first steps are always the hardest. It's so nice to see this community sharing their experiences, knowledge, encouraging and motivating other Nail Techs out of their comfort zones to try new things. Keep up the great work and thank you for sharing!
I say that all the time. People use fancy vocabulary and when they are finished, I'm like what did they actually say? Love your videos!!! I always learn something from each one! ❤
I just have to tell you all the truth. When I first became aware of your product and videos I did not appreciate the immediate personality of your videos. This aspect turned me off from your product. But when you started doing the tutorials and the Biz Talk I watched because I feel that we can learn from each other no matter our differences. Through watching your videos since that time I have come to appreciate your personalities so much more because the passion for the business and the passion for what we do and how much you love what you do really shines through. And after being in the industry for so long myself, it is so refreshing to see people who are completely genuine. To the point where I truly want to change my product line to your product because of your attitudes. My biggest issue now is that I have so much stock of my current product that I need to use up before I go purchasing anything else maybe at the first of the year LOL.
This is true advice, can't get enough of your honesty . Now I have a little Habib on my shoulder who's telling me "just do it....execute....just do it, execute!" 🤣. Thank you for this wonderful and very usefuuuuul video 💜💜
Love this advice, I find myself trying to research and overthink things. Sometimes to the the point that it hinders my process, progress, and growth. Going to take this advice to heart. Going to start doing and stop thinking of doing.
Thank you for this I was getting very frustrated with how long it is taking for me for my nail execution. But in all honesty it's only been since November 2021. And after listening to this definitely motivated to trust the prosses. You guys are amazing thank you.
Great 👍🏼 advice, I don’t own a business. I do nails for family and friends but it’s important to do what you advice bc it can go a different direction 👏🏼
This post is such a wake up call!!! 😢🙏 Thank u for sharing it. Point is, I will not try to give up on my nail salon. I feel like burning it to the ground sometimes and just forget that I even had it.... Hhhh. Love you guys. Thank you for this. I know I'm not alone.
This is exactly what I do. I literally try a product or technique on myself first, before taking it to my client. Social media is going to take practice for me, but I’m going to start the new year off right! New changes to my business!
I'm always learning new technic and ideas from yal thank you so much I'm looking forward to getting my set up together and stepping into the nail word love you bunches
OMG I swear I’m freaked out now😂 I’m working on my business and I have been doing my research the last 2 weeks and every time you guys post a biz talk it pertains to me!! SIGNS!😄😘 I always think about posting and executing and then I go look at what other nail pages are posting and then I get so lost in looking at things I forget to post....😩 What are your thoughts on apps that you can schedule your postings? Is it helpful or is taking the time to physically post each one more “organic”?
I've gotta say, it took me a long time to watch this cos I was feeling triggered by the title (don't tell me how to live my life 🤣🤣) but... this video is brilliant. I shouldn't have doubted you x have a great new year
AhdaayyB what about you talking about nails? Your fav today? Your fav color? Or what is inspiring you today about nails? Or what you do when you’re struggling to create? Talk about your journey... ❤️
Yes I am talking about nails (which I am still practicing), pedicures and hair, I find myself posting content regular then when business is slow I have no content
I really enjoy these biz talk and i do appreciate everything you guys do for us up and comers in the nail biz. Thank you for all the advice because of you i started my own IG page to follow my nail tech education. So my followers can see my struggles @nailed_by_sin.😊

What I love about this video is that this advice works for just about anything you want to do, not just a salon business. Thank you!
❤️❤️❤️
You’re the #1 company for me. Your advise comes from the heart and not lectures as “know it all!” valuable and priceless.
