When you're young, letting go of a relationship is so hard. One good thing about growing old(and up!) is learning how to love people from the distance that needs to be.
Growing up in the Bay Area the music in my home was amazing. TOP, Santana, the Dead and Jefferson Airplane just to name a few. So glad I was living in the era.
@@phila3884 Tower of Power is an American R&B and funk based band and horn section, originating in Oakland, California, that has been performing since 1968.[1] There have been a number of lead vocalists, the best-known being Lenny Williams, who fronted the band between early 1973 and late 1974, the period of their greatest commercial success. They have had eight songs on the Billboard Hot 100;[2] their highest-charting songs include "You're Still a Young Man", "So Very Hard to Go", "What Is Hip?", and "Don't Change Horses (in the Middle of a Stream)".[3][4]

A beautifully written song. Tower of Power group got around quite a bit in the 1970’s. One of the greatest songs they were featured on was Elton John Don’t let the sun go down on me.
Alright now. The great Lenny Williams singing lead as he did with the band LTD. Also he had a very successful solo career. Thanks my dear, I hope you enjoy. Another hit from them is called You still a young man.
He still loves her but she has other plans. He steps aside despite the pain. Sure, no one is to blame, but hopefully she appreciates how difficult the sacrifice is for him. Great song and, as you say, terrific horns and harmonies.
Tower of Power…they had the BEST horn section in the biz, back in the day. Better than Chicago, better than Blood Sweat and Tears…in my humble opinion👍🏼😊
I'd thought Angela reacted to a Lenny Williams solo song, turnt out she did along with another TOP song (You're Still A Young Man) Timeless classic from a timeless group who are still touring til this day.
Hi Ms. D., Off subject but I feel this is important; did U know that Frankie Beverly (77) of Maze passed on the 10th. of September.. I not sure how but a song or two would be a nice honor.. I will miss him.. ♠Mr.G..
I always thought this was plainly a song about literal penance. Mess around, pay the price, nothing is concealed that won't be revealed. I liked this song even as a kid in the 70s.
Good morning! I suggest for your reaction MY HEART YOU GO ON by Celine Dion in the voice of Gabriel Henrique. He is very talented. His RUclips channel has the same name.
This is my favorite song by them! It's meaning is very profound and 🪟 transparent! A true masterpiece! Goodbye!
Perfection. TOP HORNS ARE LEGEND
always have loved this song, so pretty!

One of my favorite songs of all time. Tower of Power was one of the acts of the first concert I ever attended…1973 Tower + T-Rex + Three Dog Night.

I haven't heard that song in ages. Thank you so much.
What a banger !!
One of the most talented bands of all time. They are iconic and fare above most.
Man we had so much great music in the 70s.

Tower Of Power was the shit back in the day.
Big fan Tower of Power, this is a great song from them... thanks for this one
I remember this song -- I really like it
I do remember them. This is a great song. I should have payed more attention to them back in the day.
Alright now. The great Lenny Williams singing lead as he did with the band LTD. Also he had a very successful solo career. Thanks my dear, I hope you enjoy. Another hit from them is called You still a young man.
With all due respect, Jeffrey Osborn was the lead singer of LTD, not Lenny Williams.
How some mix up Lenny Williams with Jeffrey Osborne completely different voices.

Just a reflection of the times and music doesnt get any better
its very hard to go .
So
The lead vocalist is Lenny Williams, he had a massive hit called Cause I Love You. If you haven’t heard it you should check it out.
I probably haven't heard this song since the 70s but I remembered all the lyrics. Great song.
Tower of Power…they had the BEST horn section in the biz, back in the day.
Better than Chicago, better than Blood Sweat and Tears…in my humble opinion👍🏼😊
Still do. They’re still going strong. On tour right now, in fact.
❤❤❤
Awesome band! One of the earliest purveyors of the Bay Area sound. Incredible horn section🎼✊🏾
This is the first ToP song I've ever enjoyed.
The pride of Oakland California.
East Bay Grease.
Lenny Williams can SING
I'd thought Angela reacted to a Lenny Williams solo song, turnt out she did along with another TOP song (You're Still A Young Man) Timeless classic from a timeless group who are still touring til this day.
Best is the deep baritone sax in the horns ... 1973 I was a freshman in HS.
Great song but those horns takes things to another level!!!!
Horn section is 2nd to NONE! Check out Soul Vaccination for an amazing horn display! 😊
This is "When a Man Loves a Woman" Chapter two... BTW I hope you get to the great Percy Sledge When a Man Loves a Woman... if you haven't.
The great Lenny Williams on lead vocals!

Kudos for playing Tower of Power! I thot only OG's liked this stuff.
Miki Howard - ‘Come Home to Me’ (1983)
Awesome song! Have fun now and listen to Lenoid & Friend's tribute band playing this song. Can't tell the difference. They are here on youtube.
Check out "Ain't nothing stopping us now." They're a great group.

Lenny Williams!!!!
Grew up with Tower of Power! They don't make music like that anymore.
You don't care about this song ! you're just there for show your face ..Tu t'en fous ce morceau ! Vous êtes uniquement là pour montrer vôtre tête ..
