Great job doing this solo and in the raw. Honestly, this format makes me feel like I'm in the kitchen watching you cook and I can reach my hand out to the frying pan and taste that dish! Thanks for showing that you can add crushed seaweed into the Kimchi fried rice. Simple and easy. Thanks for a great video!
You may not have professional editing skills, but you're great at story-telling. I typically skip through food vlogs, but can sit through yours because it's the perfect mix of learning about the recipe and the inspiration behind them. Almost forgot I was watching through RUclips lol. Can't wait to learn more!
I made it with chicken, first i cut a chicken breast up in to smaller pieces then I marinated my chicken in soy sauce garlic power onion powder salt pepper left it for 30 min and it was amazing
Man, i've always loved your video idk why yt stopped sending your videos to me ;_; you were one of the few chefs that first got me into cooking again man.
Hi From Indonesia. I follow your IG quite sometimes. And i really love what you share, homemade and home cooking. That's what we remember even we've been grown up. Mama's cooking in our childhood. Keep sharing and keep on 🔥🔥🔥
Great stuff, not bad at all doing all that solo. Love hearing the story about the fam and can't wait to watch more and to steal some of your recipes. I'd love to see some kalbi!
Hi Chef.. wanted to do kimchi fried rice with pork belly for my hubby tonight and after a long search..came across your recipe. Yes Chef !..I really like your recipe and I'm following it tonight. Peace n thanks!
I always watch your videos on Facebook since they randomly pop up for me and ive been Obsessed with how easy your recipes are ! Glad i found your RUclips channel 🙌🏼🙌🏼
Can you please, please, please make a video with the key ingredients needed to make alll your dishes. I've never cooked Korean food so I'm not sure all the key ingredients you use in all your dishes. ie. Sesame Oil, pepper paste, kimchee, so on so forth.
I just made this. I didn’t have any scallion’s or pork/spam around. I ended up using one shallot and some left over chicken schnitzel from last night. Turned out pretty good 🤙🏽
really appreciate this, can you make other kids friendly .Kimchi based dishes/pancakes (could it be with gluten free flour?_. tring to get my son to eat this for health reason
This is dope! Thanks for sharing the recipe Chef! I also use cauliflower rice for making kimchi fried rice. Its so good also. Light and fluffy! Madd props Chef! One! 🤙
Subbing your rice with “cauliflower rice” and with my own kimchi since I don’t add rice porridge for thickness at stores. Totally Atkins right now! I get enough of high carbs from gochugaru- dang! Anywhoo- love it Chris! 🥂
Anyone else get aggro when an ad interrupted the video halfway through cos you were getting super into the cooking process? No? Just me? Also, thank you, Chef, for mentioning the crispy rice part. I do that all the time and some ppl ask me why I burned the fried rice 😭
I’m new to watching your videos. I love them. I found you on Facebook. You’ve got me craving Korean food. I’ve asked my son in law to pick me up a jar of kimchi next time he goes to Texas. I’m still in a wheelchair from knee surgery.
So one thing I'm curious about, when you mention "pockeet-um" (I apologize if I misspelled that). It sounds like a Korean term. What does it translate to in English?
Hey Chris, I watched one of the seaweed sandwiches but how do u get the seaweed to fold? It keeps breaking/snapping… do I have to brush it with sesame oil?
What kind of portable stove top brand(s), model(s) do you use in these videos? I see various ones in them. What would be the most affordable option to go with? And if it’s propane how long in cooking time/hours does one tank usually last you for?

Oooh I want to make this at home! :)
Dear Chris, what type of rice do you use?
Love the food but remember don’t use metal on a non-stick pan! It would ruin the pan and you might eat what the pan is made of, beware next time!
LOVE THE CONTENT
@chef Chris cho could you please show us how to make Jeyuk bokkum?
