Just say you didn’t watch the Lions play all year and want to dick ride McVay. As Brad touched on, the rushing defense for Detroit is a massive step up from LA. You can’t ignore the rushing game difference and expect to win. Need proof? Check the playoff games Stafford lost in Detroit. #5 rushing offense and #2 passing offense (#3 overall) going against the #20 overall defense (20th passing, 12th rushing). We’re talking about an elite offense in Detroit against an, at best, mid defense of LA.

The Lions have this. Too much is being made about Stafford coming back to Detroit. Good luck keeping Hutchinson and Co., out of the backfield. Matt isn't mobile enough to avoid Hutch, or Anzalone, or Campbell for four quarters. He has an injury history as well. Detroit's run offense is close to unstoppable...especially at home. You can't dismiss the twelfth man either. Lions fans aren't just hungry, they are STARVING, and Ram is on the menu. Lions 34 LA 20.

@@raldyg7780 Rams started out slow and started to get hot since their bye, it’s logical considering they’re the second youngest team in the league. Since week 11, the Rams blow them out in every statistical category except run defense (10th best vs 2nd best)

@@alanfisher9691 revisionist history, not everyone considered the ravens to be super bowl contenders or the lions in fact earlier this year because ravens had been suspect. Lost to both the colts and Steelers. And the Lions had a good record yes but they hadn't proved anything last year. If anything these two teams were Play off contenders during that time. Additionally if it was really that good of a game, I know the rules dont' allow them to move the game to a better slot but during planning if this was such a big game they would have done so, like others. I am just making the case, that when you play also has an effect on the overall calculus. Some teams rise up to the occasion.

I like the Lions here. I believe the Rams are unstainable and feel like this is the game they regress to the mean. I also think the Lions will get a big home field advantage. Lions fans have been waiting for this fo a while and they will be lit. I'd guess, like, 31-28.

I would agree if the Lions had even a decent pass defense. They don't so this game will come down to which team wins the trenches on both sides. That may be 1 play that changes it or a series of them. I like the Rams dline more than the Lions. Although the Lions have a better Oline the Rams have a decent Oline themselves. I'll take AD over anyone on the Lions defense.
If you’d watch Rams games, you’d know that the opposite is true, the Rams have been underperforming offensively, fumbling in the red zone, missing field goals, dropping easy passes, etc., all while still scoring 30+ every game. I think it’s quite sustainable considering this isn’t the ceiling yet

The player Goff was when he left LA is not even close to the player he is now… i do have faith in Goff
He sure looks very similar. Looks amazing behind a top oline, top running game and great play action with a ton of weapons. The reason the Rams dropped Goff was because he couldn't win a game when things went awry. We'll see in the playoffs if that's changed. I still like Goff and wish the Rams could've won with him but we'll see how he does.

I’ve watched Matthew Stafford melt down at Ford Field for a decade. The Lions had their playoff spot locked up 5 weeks ago meanwhile the Rams HAD to go on a run and did but against BAD teams. This will be the hardest environment for a relatively young Rams team. The Lions are going to win this game.
No mention of the lions getting better at pressuring QB’s the final leg of the season. No mention of the lions run game. This is how you can tell they don’t watch all the games. Just boiled down to “Stafford vs goff”
McVey knows Goff's weaknesses, but Detroit doesn't know Stafford's weaknesses after 12 seasons there? Please. Both sides will move the ball, one side will have to do a better job holding onto it. Goff is playing better in Detroit than with LA, McVay wasn't coach enough to get him where he needed to be.
I'm a Rams fan and I have a small bet on this game.... but I think the narrative is to convince people the Rams will win when the Lions are likely the better bet - hence a lot of money gets made.... that said, I believe either team can win and either team can win the whole thing and I love that no matter who wins, it's hard for me to lose as a fan. I love Brad Holmes and Jared Goff, always liked the Lions (I hate probably 28 of 32 teams lol) and will be supporting the Lions in any other game. GO RAMS!!!

I hate to say it Lions fans, but #16 will let you down. Watching him for years in L.A. show glimpses of greatness only to cave in when the lights were the brightest. Mcvay knows his weakness and will exploit them. I like the Lions, and if they weren't playing my team, I'd be rooting for them. But you will see why #16 was let go. Stafford is a true professional and stud of a QB, a future Hall of Famer, and can perform at his best when his best is required. #16 can not do that. With Kupp, Nacua, Williams, Donald, and company plus the most important key, Superbowl championship experience, the Lions will fall. Stafford still loves Detroit and will always have a special place in his heart for his time there. He now wears the horns and will come guns a blazing. Welcome to the playoffs, it's for real now.

And I'm not sure if youve been watching football the past few years, but Ben Johnson is a better football mind than McVay. McVay is old news. He's stale.
