Hell fucking no. We need those shots to go to Colvin, TKR & Heide, as well as Smith. Edey took 14 shots a game… a generational player… you’re telling me our worst starter should take 8-15 shots??? Wtf are you on?? He can’t drive and can only hit wide open 3’s. Should take at MAX 6 shots a game… hoping it’s less.
Smith, Fletcher, Colvin, Heide & TKR: That defensive unit could get over whelmed physically, in the front court and who will Smith/Fletcher defend with no 7ft rim protector behind them? Smith, Colvin, Heide, Furst, TKR: Best chance to compete early until a 7ftr can emerge. Specialist can come off the bench. The Mason Gillis departure feels awful the more things that have transpired over the summer & the longer we are removed from the season. If Kanon Catchings was such a non factor & a an iffy guy…why was he recruited at all. Sounds like sour grapes.
Painter isn't sitting Loyer early he just isn't. I think you're more likely to see TKR Heide Colvin Loyer and Smith. That's your best offensive five. This team is going to struggle more defensively regardless so toss out a group that can score from anywhere. First and Jacobsen/Berg back up the 4/5, Harris and someone else back up the wing guard positions.
@@timothythomad5529 it’s obviously the coach’s job to pick the players and the lineups. The fans voice an opinion, even if flawed, and buy the tickets/merch/donate so the coach can do his job. The last two yrs version of BoilerBall has struggled against good guard play on both ends of the court. If not for L.Jones, there would have been even more backcourt violations-turnovers and delays getting into the offense bc the PG struggles physically vs a modicum of pressure. Winning & Edey has been a great deodorant for these guards…we are all praying for 1) 7ft rim protection to develop as fast as possible. In coach Brandon We Trust. 2) Harris/Colvin to emerge as viable late gm, vs pressure ball handlers. Heide did an excellent job of playing defense vs tough assignments vs Tennessee and others. If Colvin can become a reliable defender, that will be a major upgrade.
I'm sorry but your take on Catchings as a project that might not turn out until year 3 is not your best one. Kids on 2025 first round draft lists for a reason and its not just because of "people on the Internet who don't know what they are talking about." Doesn't meam Painter wasn't right to not want to take on someone who didn't want to be there, but come on man.
Are you stupid???? Dude was playing 17 mpg next to the NPOY and an AA point guard… wasn’t a lot of shots for him and he did great when he got the ball. He absolutely tore up March madness
Brian's the best in the biz. Well worth the subscription to Gold and Black by himself.
Great stuff, Brian. Appreciate your work!
Great stuff Brian.
I think Berg is gonna surprise a lot of people this year. Go Boilers
i hope so; listening to TKR interview sounds like Berg may not be the bloomer that I thought.
@@davidwill4679 After watching TKR interview,I tend to agree.
Excited to see Trey Kaufman-Renn, The Sellersburg Sensation!
Big year from Fletcher. he only averaged like 5-8 shots a game last season. im looking at this year 8-15 shots

He's gotta b able to create his shot that's big
Always team Fletcher

Defense inside will need to improve this summer 0:39
Will you be at practice today?

Nothing he said about Catchings was demonstrably false.
@@Matt-fb5xe I mean considering Catchings hasn't played yet, you could literally say anything about Catchings and not be "demonstrably false."
No TKR could not score. I can’t see him go to guy. He will not produce. Hope I am wrong
