Another great show guys and thanks for what you are doing! If the kid doesn't want to be here, I wish him well and I want Purdue guys here who adhere to what Coach Painter is doing.
I still believe in Furst also, like Joe. I think his issue is purely mental / confidence. Furst might be the greatest benefactor in the Catchings withdrawal. Now he just needs to prove that he can still help the team. His hustle has never been the issue so I think he has a good chance to get back into the main rotation.
It sounds like he’s going to BYU. BYU is quickly becoming a top 5 program in the country… every player seems to want to go there now. Didn’t they also just sign Egor Demin?
NO, it does not mean that Purdue will be less effective than they would with Catchings. That's not true at all. The kid is skinnier than Fletch was and you think he's playing 4 in the BIg 10 as a true frosh? LOL , c'mon man.... His position (3) is the deepest on the team and I don't want Colvin or Heide sitting behind ANY 1 and done. Seldom worth it. Never when you have the solid team Matt already has. This is not a weak team of old where losing your best recruit was a big deal. Next man up.
All good (and I predict that within 18 months - which I agree is a long time - we’ll be seeing the bright lining around this cloud). More than a few of us, when we think about that ethereal-but-very-real “Purdue way”, have found ourselves not merely comfortable with, but positively happy about, Paint’s commitment to holding firm on the “no promises: earn it…” tradition; add to that the faint and faintly weird sense that we get more from the personnel when the talking heads are singing the funeral tunes, and I think that we may well have (with this “so long” announcement) a bit of divine grace in the direction of a sterner, grittier, tighter-knit team. The group we’ve got is made of that kind of stuff, and this decision is evidence that…someone talented and hopeful isn’t [made of that earn-it stuff]. All’s well. - j.a.c.
17:48 losing Catchings with his apparent pre-Madonna entitled attitude might actually help this team’s locker room big time. He’s soft AF for committing until June 6 and leaving because of whatever guarantee he’s looking for…commitment has lost its meaning and this generation is SOFT.
It means “pop off” as in play really well. He’s saying some of these players who haven’t played much need to step up and immediately pop off or play well. Not take the season to find themselves/learn.
Dont wanna be here we dont want you here. Its ok. I think there is far too much overreacting to this. Team is still in great shape AND with players who are willing to prove themselves and work for playing time.
Boiler up! Appreciate all your content!

Sad reality now tho we will miss on talented kids

Haha, omg. Coleman would NEVER! I think he despises Purdue.

Joe I love your work, but TKR at the 5 will get us destroyed on D.

Respect to Coach Painter for not compromising his principles. This guy sounds like addition by subtraction with his inflated sense of entitlement.
Possible copium
It takes a decommit for BITS to finally go live in the offseason
We literally did a show 2 weeks ago with Sasha.

My starting 5 (in CAPS and backups at each position): 1) SMITH/Harris 2) LOYER/Harris 3) COLVIN/Hedie 4) HEIDE/Furst 5)TKR/Berg/Jacobson

These guys are gonna "have to pop" --- is this a common phrase having any meaning in reality? Like popcorn? I don't get it.

The common terminology when a player gets better is “make a jump”, never heard any one say pop before.
@@Cooliewhistles must be a newer term then. But yes, good synonym.
Snap, crackle, and POP
