Manie is a talented player - no doubt about it - but at this level you have to be a complete player and that includes goal kicking which for the moment is his weak point and bring a huge amount of criticism - which is good for him. So in order for him to develop - he needs to address that aspect and very quickly.
Manie is one of the best flyhalves in the world..his line kicking and attacking ability is second to none..how sad all people can judge him on a few kicks to poles he misses. All kickers go though this. Without doubt one of the best fkyhalves
Manie needs to adapt the way he prepares for the kick. He takes forev er to get on with it and places pressure on himself and ends up having to hurry the kick before the time runs out
Pollard has consistently been one of the top 3 fly halves in the world for 5 years. The knockout stages of the World Cup you CANNOT leave points on the field, which Pollard doesn’t. There are no second chances, and the Ireland game should pose absolutely no debate as who should be playing. It’s ridiculous that this is even a debate!
Nobody doubts Manie Libbok and what he brings to the team.Truth is SA needs a reliable goal kicker and the only one who can make the team otherwise happens to play in Manie’s position. If we had a reliable kicker who played in another position than 10 this whole sometimes polarising decision would not have arisen.Manie can also help by trying adjustments to his kicking style.Experienced kickers have commented on some adjustments but doing the same thing and achieving the same result is not the answer.
No one is doubting his attack - they're doubting his kicking and terrible defense. After Ireland saw Cam Roigard, the NZ number 9, run straight through libbok to score NZ's only try at Twickenham, what did they do? A set move where Aki runs at Libbok...and what happened? He ran straight over him and it led to Ireland's only try against us. You think other coaches aren't seeing that?

And what do you mean personal? Do you think I personally know libbok? Every neutral pundit, including the Irish pundits, are saying that if Pollard played that game we would have won. You have a very short memory - his last game for the boks he was man of the match, he was in unbelievable form for Leicester (go watch his highlights) and...and...we KNOW we can win a world cup with him at 10. A springbok level Fly half Should be able to kick. No excuses. His kick from hands and attacking finesse should see him on fullback, not fly half.(eh ehm Damian willemse) Played rugby with Club level Fly halfs that could slot 80% over a season, at springbok level i find it very…very hard to believe there is no better fly half full on offer in our country. Doesn’t matter how good your attack on ball is if you leave 11-15 points a game on the field there is simply no making up for it at test match level.
Manie the first 50 min. Then Pollard comes on in the last 30 with the bomb squad, and any penalty within the 50 we can go for goal. Apply attacking pressure in the first 50, no one better than yours truly.
Absolutely love Manie, his attackign game and kicking out of hand is fantastic. Only two things I worry about is his kicking off the tee and the showboating when he scores a try, which will come back to bite him some day if he isn't careful.
It's the only time the ICEMAN shows emotion on the field. So, let's give him that pleasure now and again. But surely he will go down as one of the Best Flyhalves if we and his coaches believe in him. Dobson,Jaques and Rassie.

You need to learn, just because a player was amazing a coulpe of years ago does't mean they still are.
Libbok outplays pollard, it's clear as day, if he could get pollard's post kicking then he will be one of if not the best 10 currently in world rugby, but how about we be adults about this.
Sunday night after the game we will see who is right.
Manie will get better and better. Who am I to critise. He's doing an incredible job for the country. I will support him in his good and bad times.
Legend in the making ❤❤❤
so is a pig rolling around in shit
Only if there is someone in the team covering his backside when it comes to goalkicking. He needs to sort that out.
Manie is a talented player - no doubt about it - but at this level you have to be a complete player and that includes goal kicking which for the moment is his weak point and bring a huge amount of criticism - which is good for him. So in order for him to develop - he needs to address that aspect and very quickly.
Now please tell me who in your mind is the complete flyhalf for the Boks?
We need to get behind him!
He is an awesome player❤
Manie is one of the best flyhalves in the world..his line kicking and attacking ability is second to none..how sad all people can judge him on a few kicks to poles he misses. All kickers go though this. Without doubt one of the best fkyhalves
Not judging, you want to win not look good , its a test you fail if you dont win period
Still, the coach himself doubted his kicking and replaced him with the eternal Pollard.
Can you make a montage of why we should doubt him, first click should be from yesterdays game vs Argentina
Great scoring play making machine, hopefully someone like Pollard can help him tune in his kicking during high pressure games.
Manie needs to adapt the way he prepares for the kick. He takes forev er to get on with it and places pressure on himself and ends up having to hurry the kick before the time runs out
Keep up the great work Manie Libbok, we know and believe in your quality. The naysayers are useless and jealous of you. Ons weet mos hoe hulle is.
his game will only get better
Pollard has consistently been one of the top 3 fly halves in the world for 5 years. The knockout stages of the World Cup you CANNOT leave points on the field, which Pollard doesn’t. There are no second chances, and the Ireland game should pose absolutely no debate as who should be playing. It’s ridiculous that this is even a debate!
First time i saw a Fly Half get reclaced a minute 30.
The more important the game, the more he disapiers
RESPECT TO YOU
the bulls doudt him, 👀where he is now. 🙏dont him🙌he will win us this RWC
Don't doubt him!
An attacking flyhalf is good maybe but winning the game is better.
So he has to get his goalkicking right otherwise the attacking side means nothing.
You think other coaches aren't seeing that?
his defence is better than Pollards! thats a fact so.... hes kicking right now is dire... but i know hes the right man for the job to get the boks to be a champion side for years to come, and not just every 4 years
@@garthmanuel5701 hahahahahahahahahahaha. Mate, Roigard is a 9. Have you ever in your life seen a 9 run through Pollard? Pollard is literally known for being a great defensive 10...he's nearly 100kg, Libbok is 75kg. Go watch the Ireland game again.
@@dcs4880 Roigard ran through Kwagga, Moodie, RG, Damian and then Manie. Are you sure it's not you singling him out like this is not perhaps personal? Because you certainly aren't judging him to the same standards as the other 4....
@@Karma-qt4ji Um no...Kwagga did not miss a tackle on him, Kwagga had just ripped the ball and then dived for it on the ground, he ducked under Moodie, Willemse tried to catch him from behind and probably should have got him...but Manie he ran straight THROUGH...big big difference. If that game against Ireland was a quarter final, we'd be out and you'd be here still defending libbok, because you're clearly blind. Nice one.
@@dcs4880 Pollard missed a few tackles pre 2019 and after in the Lions test he was a shadow of himself..hes kicking was horrendous, couldnt even find touch. remember how the fans were callign for him to get dropped BECAUSE OF HIS DEFENCE?
A springbok level Fly half Should be able to kick. No excuses.
His kick from hands and attacking finesse should see him on fullback, not fly half.(eh ehm Damian willemse)
Played rugby with Club level Fly halfs that could slot 80% over a season, at springbok level i find it very…very hard to believe there is no better fly half full on offer in our country.
He is fire 🔥
He just cost us a game we are 2nd in the world now thanks to his missed kick against Argentina wow just shocking to miss from that distance
Geen probleem ons like hom kwaai. Wys net voor die game vir hom waar die pale is!
Manie is the GOAT 10
excellent player
Absolutely love Manie, his attackign game and kicking out of hand is fantastic. Only two things I worry about is his kicking off the tee and the showboating when he scores a try, which will come back to bite him some day if he isn't careful.
It's the only time the ICEMAN shows emotion on the field. So, let's give him that pleasure now and again. But surely he will go down as one of the Best Flyhalves if we and his coaches believe in him. Dobson,Jaques and Rassie.
@@riccardovanwyk8188 Brah what are you talking about? He shows emotion whenever the team scores or for example when his kick-pass went to Arendse, and rightly so he deserves to celebrate that. And I agree he could be one of the greats in a Bok jersey. But that "it's his passion" BS doesn't pass the sniff test. He's a professional first and foremost, and his job is to score points. He can celebrate once the points are in the bag.
Excellent montage! What a talented player. I think he will still make history for us!
Yes, if he sorts out his goalkicking.
Future captain
🤔🤔🤔
I am a big Manie Libbok fan and I really hope he finds his grove.
He has a groove, just not consistent enough at the poles. Why hasnt Willemse taken the role as he did Stormers before moving to fullback
@@travismailsa1Willemse isn't a reliable kicker either, but unlike Libbok, having the kicking responsibility affects the rest of his game.
@@rothnieoosthuizen3728 I dont recall Willemse being un reliable for the Stormers and i personally have not seen the poor kicking performance from Libbok affecting his fly-half role. In my opinion he is the absolute best at the moment world wide.
@@travismailsa1 yeah, I think the Willemse kicking issues has come to the fore mostly playing for the Boks. Also he doesn't consistently kick for the Stormers, does he? That being said, I'd have him at 15 in my team any day of the week and twice on Sundays, but not to do the kicking.
I'd be hesitant to describe Libbok as the best right now, but he's right up there, for sure.
World cup pressure is insane, and needs experience - class player
But he have to up his goalkicking
Manie should stay on flyhalf and Pollard be brought in at inside centre. That way you have a great attacking flyhalf with a solid place kicker.
That's New Zealand style, South Africans aren't used to it. Carlos Spencer @10 with Aaron Mauger kicking @12.
Gonna be difficult to beat the Boks.
If he fixes that he’s perfect
He blows hot cold too often ... bad kicker
The Boks need to hire a kicking coach and appoint him to support him.
Then the Stormers needs to do the same thing or hire the same guy.
Have a sporting psychologist at hand.
Nurture the talent and reap the rewards.
As an Irishman i would be more afraid of him on the field than Pollard. Yes kicks can be important and it will come right for him, but he is a world class back...
😂😂..sure, you know what will happen with Pollard in our team ne!…
That's how New Zealand feels as well!! They'd rather play against Handré then against Immanuel.
Mannie can also cost you the game, he single handedly lost the cup for the Stormers in two seasons.
He works for Sports betting.
His kicking has an easy fix, get him a lower tee and fix his angle of his run up
Manie will make world player of the year within the next 5 years (touch wood)
